best vegan mexican food! this restaurant is a blessing to Chicago. don’t think twice, just go. you won’t regret it!

Came for happy hour and got 3 tacos of my choice. The Baja taco was so good, I had to ask our server to put in another order! Don’t come here looking for meat substitutes, just come here with an open mind (and eager stomach) for some bomb plant-based tacos. You can tell everything, especially the tortillas, are made with love and from quality ingredients. I’d also recommend grabbing an order of DBT fries for the table to share.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Don Bucio’s Taqueria for a lunch meeting, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. As a vegan, I was pleased to find that they have a great selection of plant-based options on the menu. I opted for the steak fajitas and was pleasantly surprised by the texture – it was so good that I could have easily been fooled into thinking it was real steak! The horchata was also a highlight, with its delicious and refreshing taste. Overall, I highly recommend Don Bucio’s Taqueria – all the food is great, and they cater to a variety of dietary preferences.

Great service! Prompt & attentive. The food was so insanely delicious! Better than anything I’ve had during my time as a meat eater. So excited for this wonderful addition to the neighborhood/vegan scene. I’ve eaten at other vegan Mexican restaurants and I’ve always been disappointed somehow or the food can’t justify the prices. They don’t leave me excited. That is not the case here. I can’t wait to be back! Elote was my favorite. Edit: **I haven’t eaten meat in 5 years lol. I am just recalling my time as a meat eater **

Came for brunch after wanting to try this place for a long time, and it did NOT disappoint. Everything my husband and I ordered was outstanding. The items used for "meat" (including forest mushrooms and root veggies) were cooked to perfection - crispy, flavorful, and the right amount of chewy. Their sauces and condiments are also excellent. Even the salad that comes under the chimichanga appetizer tasted amazing. In addition to the food, the service was wonderful, as well. I cannot wait to come back.

So excited to have a new vegan spot in the neighborhood! Went on opening night and it did not disappoint. We got the plátano macho appetizer that I am still dreaming about, one of each kind of taco, and churros and rice pudding for dessert! All so good, can’t wait to come back!

Food was great, spicy margarita was delicious only thing that was a little off for me personally was the quesadilla. Everything else was delicious! Will definitely be back

This is a perfect restaurant! Decor is fun, fresh and comfortable. The serve is top notch. Food was out of this world! We ordered the nachos. It was a mountain of vegan wonderfulness.

This place was a total surprise! First of all the look and decor are so fresh and spacious so that tickles your appetite!...Speaking of, the food was quick to be served and super delicious. We had the steak fajitas and tacos and they were shareable, juicy af, and very filling....You must go!

We stopped in for happy hour and wow were we impressed. I'm pescatarian and my friend is vegetarian and this place hit the spot all around. The happy hour deals were Awesome, we got a pitcher of margaritas (delicious and strong) nachos, fried cauliflower & the crunch wrap to share. Everything was great but the crunch wrap was especially amazing. Service was good too, we had a nice server but other staff would stop by and see if we needed anything as well, very friendly/welcoming. We are already planning to go back!

10 out of 10 would recommend this place. Such delicious food and super attentive staff. The margaritas were so tasty (would love to see more flavors down the road). We did the taco dinner to try three different options and loved each one. Guacamole was 🤌🏻 So excited to have great vegan food in this area.

I enjoyed my visit for dinner. It was a cute and quaint atmosphere when you walked in. Since it was our first time, we had several items off the menu to get the full experience. We had all the salsa, all five tacos, the fries, the elotes and the churros. Everything was really good but I was not a fan of the churros. They were too hard and in my opinion looked burnt. All of the tacos besides the chorizo were good just because it lacked some flavor liked the other tacos. The Baja was hands down my favorite. The salsa was amazing and incorporated pickled vegetables in it, which was a great added touch. I would go back for a date night and try the drinks next time.

Easily some of the best vegan food and just tacos in general I've ever had. My fiance and I brought our meat-eating relatives here when they were in town for a meal and they were absolutely taken with the food and the margaritas. Everyone loves the Al Pastor, and while it is SUPER good, my favorite taco is the Chorizo con Papa. Great price point for the flavor and how filling the food is--I constantly recommend this place to everyone!

Don Bucio’s is amazing! Phenomenal vegan taqueria, and one of the few places that has happy hour specials on the weekend, including 3 tacos for $12 and a $7 crunch wrap. Did I mention spicy margs that are actually spicy?! 🙌🏽The cherry on top is kind, quick service. Make sure to check this spot out.

Amazing food. The loaded fries are to die for. We also had 2 tacos and torta and they were tasty and flavorful. Margaritas are fresh and delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu.

It's totally a new hidden Gem! The food was way better than expected. Each was the right portion with plenty of flavor. The ambiance was super pretty. Still can't believe it's all plant based, we needed one of these kinds of places in Chicago. Gracias por todo.

I went to Don Bucio's for the first time with some out of town friends who were looking for vegan fare while visiting Chicago. The food tasted fresh, well seasoned and delicious. Really great service, amazing cocktails and an overall cool vibe. Highly recommended, even for folks like me who aren't vegan.

Awesome atmosphere, awesome people and even better food. Not a vegan by any means, actually I eat quite a bit of meat - But this spot is a nice break from my usual meat based diet, especially during Lent! Chef Gustavo knows how to run a kitchen, we will be back!

The food is great and the service is friendly and fast. I recommend “asada” everything. I’d only note that the churros were slightly over cooked, but I still think this place deserves five stars.

Really great spot for vegan Mexican food in Logan. Highly recommend the al pastor, Baja or chorizo con papas. Loaded fry appetizer and elote were excellent as well. Good lunch specials too!

No. Absolutely not. I cannot believe this menu is vegan. I am floored at what I’m putting in my mouth. Of course, the plantains are absolutely killer and the tacos are absolutely worth your time, but the chicharrones? HOW? None of it makes any sense. I cannot and should not be this impressed as a through-and-through regular ol’ meat eater. I am shaken to my very core over this humble, newly-established Mexican eatery that dares to make me question all of my roots. Well done, you lot.
