This was my 1st time ordering and patronizing this restaurant. I must say it lives up to its recommendation! I'm not a pizza person but I was willing to try it and it was so delicious and filling. I plan to come there and eat in with my family.

Just passing through, and found this wonderful, old school, pizza place online. Food was great and service was awesome.

This place is a 10/10 amazing!!! Can’t believe I have lived up here since the mid 90’s and only just tried Quonset! Super thin, crispy crust, delicious, super fresh veggies. I love nearly any pizza but their pies are so delicious! Jake also devoured a cupcake from Sweetness and he said it was beyond amazing! Stop in, bring an appetite and prepare for greatness!!!

Quonset Pizza is the best pizza on earth. Sausage is amazing. I've made a 6 hour road trip just for a large sausage pizza.

First time going to Quonset pizza and loved it! The ingredients are fresh!

I grew up eating Quonsets and when I was pregnant with my first daughter I craved it. That was 30+ years ago. I was in town this weekend and I took my daughter there to taste what I craved while pregnant with her. I did a happy dance after tasting, it still tasted the way I remembered. I bought a pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions and bought several frozen because we live 3 hours away. All I can say is BUSSIN 🔥 🔥 🔥 Quonset is hands down the best frozen pizza, I've tasted 😋

It's one of those pizzas where you are way too full but you keep eating because it even SMELLS good. I ordered an 8" pepperoni and cheese pizza and a tall mixed drink. If I could go back in time I would order a beer because the drink was pretty weak but the pizza made up for it.

I travel to this place every other month or so, old school tavern style sausage thin crust pizza. The sausage is garlic forward, not much of any fennel. Their normal bake is usually crisp and on the verge of well-done… just how I like it. The menu is somewhat limited, a few standard bar appetizers, Italian beefs and such. The service was a bit slow to take out order, but the pizza came out quickly… we were not really in a hurry anyway.

We were very excited to try this place since so many people had such great things to say. I hate to report that it did not live up to our expectations. There may be great flavors in there but they get lost in the saltiness of it all. I really wanted to like it but unfortunately we won’t be ordering from here again. Delivery driver was extremely kind and polite.

Just ordered from this place for the first time. Their pizza's are delicious. We ordered the BLT, Sausage Mushroom green pepper , and Chicken spinach and Fetta . They were excellent. Our favorite was the BLT. The phone staff was really great, and our delivery guy was nice as well. Only down side is that the largest size was 14 inches. But you know what they say small things come in small packages ♡

Best thin crust pizza in Chicago land imo never fails to be amazing.

The best thin crust pizza you’ll ever find in Lake County. I had dinner with my son and grandchildren at Quonset last night. We ordered a large, well done pizza and sandwiches. As usual the pizza was excellent as were the bomber sandwiches. I had difficulty explaining to the server what I wanted. I said I want the Italian beef sandwich with mozzarella, double sweet peppers, wet. She said pepperoncini? I said no, sweet peppers. She said Giardiniera? I said no, sweet peppers, green bell peppers. When it arrived, it was open faced on French bread. The top was hard, possibly toasted. I thought the serving size was rather small. A small side container of gravy was provided. The small number of green bell peppers were finely diced and raw, not at all cooked. The beef and gravy had a nice taste. I was just extremely disappointed in the size, the presentation and the raw bell peppers. I will definitely go back for the pizza and bombers but I’ll pass on the Italian beef sandwich.

Visiting from out of town, however Waukegan is my hometown so I had to come back to taste a staple restaurant. Great customer service, pizza was delicious and the cocktail was very tasty!

Been going here all my life and I still love it here. The pizza crust is a little different, but the rest is pretty much the same to me. Bomber sandwiches are still good. Staff is friendly and efficient. Relive your childhood if you grew up going to Quonset and stop by for a pizza and a beer.

I do deliveries with grubhub and I get the most orders from here. 99% of the time the employees are kind and respectful. Of course you have your necessary grumpy jerk once in a while. The food always smelled good to me so I finally decided to try it about 2 weeks ago and it was delicious. The cheese on the pizza was amazing, it didn't have too much or too little cheese. The proportions of pepperoni were perfect and the dough was so good too. My boyfriend and I were planning on having a picnic with the pizza but we ate it in the car on the way there 🤣 it was too good.

Such a cool place, it's worth a visit just for the history and experience. That said, the food and service was fantastic. Our server was super friendly, very attentive and she just made our experience, we had a fun time. The pizza is in the top 3 of all pizza I've ever had. We got the cheese, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and onions and it was delicious. If you are in Chicago, definitely worth going out of the way for Quonset Pizza.

The pizza is great.

The pizza is great! Most any combination of topings you pick will be delicious. I'd highly recommend the chicken spinach feta as it's super flavorful or the sausage and onion. We also got a pepperoni and jalepeno pizza and it was great. It's also reasonably priced compared to other establishments, a favorite of ours We will be customers for life 😊

Had a great experience here with my girlfriend. The food arrives quickly and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are convenient.

This pizza could be amazing if it wasn't so salty. Great super thin crust, right amount of ingredients that are fresh. I have seen multipe reviews saying its too salty. I don't understand why business owners don't listen to thier clients. I would come back if they cut back on the salt. Also, 7.50 for a personal pizza with drink is a great deal. PS. I usually love salty things like chips, beef jerky, etc.

Best pizza on the planet!! Ate 2 at the table and got 38 to go!! 10 going to Florida, 25 headed to Alaska. The best sausage pizza ever made.

We go often as family and it's always an amazing experience. Our most recent visit was quite busy, but the kind waiters and waitresses got to our table right away despite the busy evening. Overall, the restaurant despite its good business is still under rated, and a great place to eat, drink, and have a good evening.

I moved away from Waukegan 30 years ago and Quonset Pizza was as good as I remembered. Very nice thin crust, fresh ingredients. Yum!!! The service was outstanding and always lots of free parking. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread and a bomber. Both were so good. Great place to meet friends for pizza and beer.

This is a childhood staple! Every time I visit home I have to stop here and buy frozen pizzas to fly back with me. I remember throwing my children’s birthday parties here. Hanging out with friends and family. The pizza is always so super delicious and the staff is like family.

I love when the large pizzas are actually LARGE, so mega props there! The BLT pizza was such a fun new kind! We also really enjoyed our chicken feta spinach pizza.

Best Chicago tavern-style pizza in Lake County. Consistently good. The pre-made frozen pizzas to take home are pretty solid, too. Staff are always friendly. Comfy and welcoming bar atmosphere.

Server was really sweet and nice and made conversation with us. Pizza and wings were also really good it the soda I ordered tasted a bit off. Not sure why. Restroom was also pretty clean and they have frozen pizzas available to buy and take home which I thought was really nice and rare.

Food was amazing. I got a mini pizza, salad(house dressing👌), and wings. My only gripe is that I ordered on Grubhub but it says on the order receipt to include plates, napkins, and utensils but I did not receive those essential items.

The pizza was delicious, but the service was ok. It wasn't very crowded and yet I feel like we waited longer than we should have... we only ordered one topping pizzas, too, nothing "complicated." But the pizza was delicious, like I said. :) 4/5 stars overall.

Man this is the best pizza around hands down. If someone tells you Mike's is better they don't know good pizza. It amazes me that one could even compare the two. *Pro tip* Go during lunchtime and get the mini two topping pizza & pop. Great deal. ✌🏾

I ordered an Italian beef sandwich with cheese to go. I was charged extra for cheese, however there was no cheese on my sandwich when I got home. I want to like Quonset, but attention to orders seems important to me.

Been coming since I was a child when my father would order us pizza, it was fun coming to pick up and dad would order me a kiddie cocktail and his appetizer would be a bomber and beer. Dad is gone now and I am 61. A great memory every time we get delivery. Also it comes quickly. Your driver is nice and I try to show appreciation with a good tip cause they have earned it! Thank you!

I've been coming here for over 20 years... until now. Ordered a small pizza and was offered a large for a tiny upcharge. I agreed as long as it was pie cut. I get the pizza and it's not pie cut (Strike 1). Was offered for it to be remade, declined but was not discounted for the mistake (Strike 2). Opened the box and realized that something is different. As soon as I tried it, I knew what was different. The new owners must have changed the recipe. That is the worst pizza I've ever eaten from Quonset (Strike 3). But they did me a favor. Now I will never again have a craving for a Quonset pizza. A lost customer, but now it will be easier to avoid pizza as I regain my health from higher quality food. Thank you Quonset!!

Excellent Pizza

I make special trips from Wisconsin to Quonset Hut because it has outstanding pizza and a very wide selection of beverages. The service people are always quick to give you a menu and a beverage. There are television sets in different rooms to entertain you while relaxing if you are not with others. The staff can rearrange tables for small groups and to comply with proper social distancing for the safety of all patrons. There is a very, very long bar which is becoming a signature part of the decor now that the World War II quonset architecture has gracefully past. The remodeling of the inside adds a unique touch to the atmosphere.

I have went to this place since the 70s when I was a boy. There is something to say about a pizza that you cant compare with others. I have had the best and this is up there. I don't think someone should ever say the best in the world but I can understand when you grow up with something that good. I live in the state of NY and before that lived in Minnesota and Chicago does have the best pizza. Also my memories of this place make it in my top ten. BTW the BOMBERS!!! Could never go there without starting with one of those.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are tasty and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a cheerful time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Seemed like they forgot my green peppers and threw them on last minute because they didn’t seem really cooked other then that pizza was good.

As a business owner for many years, I just feel that they're doing an awesome job. I ate dinner from here while visiting, and it was great. I look forward to visiting quonset when I come back to Waukegan. No matter how hard you try to please certain customers, and you can absolutely be professional, but some customers just find anything to complain about. I see more positive feedback than negative for Quonset, so how about stop making fake reviews( competitors) and just enjoy life or eat elsewhere. It's not that serious. You have to be pretty darn bored to post the most pettiest things I've ever heard of!

Pizza and wings were fine but had an unpleasant experience after my order. I ordered for delivery to a friend's house and paid with credit card over the phone. Upon arrival, the driver saw me put my mask on as I approached him. He put his mask on as he said 'Oh, let me put my mask on' in a rather mocking tone. I said something along the lines of 'You never know' to which he replied 'I'm not too worried about it'. I am however. I felt that my concerns were disrespected and unaccounted for. I understand wearing facial coverings during a pandemic is questionable to some, but I expect more respect for patron's safety concerns. People are entitled to their own opinion in their daily lives, but these should not be expressed when delivering services to customers. I would also like to encourage anyone who orders online with Quonset to not pay with a credit card via phone (I should know better). Two days after my order, I noticed a charge for a purchase I did not make. The bank confirmed the purchase was made with manual credit card entry. Now, I cannot prove that my card was compromised at this establishment, as these things happen. However, I do find it suspicious as my card was never lost, and the number had not been shared otherwise. Just a tip for other customers. I would expect Quonset to have a better set of guidelines in terms of respect for patron's COVID safety concerns. As to the credit card fraud issue, I cannot say that it was the establishment's fault, but would hope the restaurant has a safe way for customer's information to remain uncompromised when making phone orders. Again, food is pretty good, but customer service could use some work.

Most times the pizza here is outstanding. I always make it a point to visit when I'm in the area. However, today was very different. Pizza was horrible with a soggy crust. We couldn't even pick up the pieces; they just stuck to the box.

Hands down the best pizza PERIOD!! The recent owners have really strived to perfect this staple. They are locals who know how sacred this establishment is to our town and we couldn't have asked for two better people to take the reigns and restore Quonset to its former glory.

Best pizza in the world. Been coming here since I was a baby. Things have changed a bit but still excellent. They are very receptive to how you want your pizza which I love. I prefer medium cook and not browned and as long as I say that, that's exactly what I get at least 95% of the time. Toppings are getting slimmer but still great.

Grew up eating Quonset pizza every Friday. It's truly awesome pizza. Moved out of state and can say honestly I miss it desperately. Always go when back in town.

I truthfully can say that the service is impressive and the food is delicious. I tried Margherita pizza and it was delightful.

They had stopped taking orders but took ours at the last minute. They made us some good food and I'm hooked on this place. Great job!! We can all the way from Indiana.

Best pizza I've had in a long time.

Great for carry out and even better dining in. The food is consistently good and the staff is fun. Stop in for some good eats and share some great history with the structure. I enjoy sitting at the bar as well.

I'll be honest, I'm the one person that never grew up on Quonset pizza and never craved it. I crave it now! Friendly environment, excellent pizza and attentive wait staff. Food comes up quick and we enjoyed every minute of it. If it's been awhile since you've had it... Try it again!

Delicious pizza 1st time here. Social distancing inside they were on top of it. We definitely will be back. Crust a little burnt on the edges but that doesn't stop us.
