Excelent
quality,
delicious
tasting
beer.
Zumbier
owner/
Beervangelist
Larry
Bloom
prides
himself
in
being
the
owner
of
the
first
brewery
in
Waukeegan
since
1916.
He
and
his
team
are
dedicated
to
bring
great
quality
brew
as
well
as
fun
food
pairings
to
Lake
county.
This
venue
is
not
fancy
but
charming
in
it's
simplicity.
The
decor
is
rustic
and
the
is
a
nice
little
patio
in
the
parking
lot.
The
back
of
the
warehouse
is
available
for
pricey
parties
for
a
nominal
fee.
There
are
frequent
special
beer
releases
accompanied
by
food
trucks
and
bands.
Thursday
night
each
week
hosts
trivia
in
the
warehouse,
summers
outside
in
the
tent
and
is
ever
more
popular
with
teams
of
all
sizes
participating.
Includes
table
service.
Free
home
made
popcorn
that
is
made
daily
and
seasoned
with
an
in
house
spice
blend
is
served
at
each
table.
They
call
it
'crack
corn'
as
it's
pretty
addictive.
Rachelle,
the
tap
room
manager
is
affable
and
efficient.
She
goes
out
of
her
way
to
meet
everyone
desires
with
speed
and
a
dashing
smile.
Let's
also
not
forget
about
the
most
important
part.
The
craft
beer.
Zumbier
offers
18
rotating
traps
with
an
ever
changing
menu.
Styles
range
from
light
German
beers
as
well
as
a
variety
of
pale
ale,
new
Engler
IPA,
Session
Saisons,
Red
Ale
and
barrel
aged
imperial
stouts.
There's
a
little
something
for
every
taste
preference.
If
you're
from
around
here
or
out
of
town
this
should
be
a
must
visit
on
your
list
of
breweries.
