Had a great time!! Brought the kids here for a Sunday afternoon tournament. The food is decent, chicken was loaded with flavor but could have been more crispy! The things they do with these horses are amazing. There’s a life falcon, live jousting and fighting, it really is a good time. A touch on the corny and cheesy side, but nevertheless it’s still a lot of fun and kids will love it, adults too!

What an amazing night we had. We visited same location years ago to celebrate my daughter's birthday, I can tell a lot has changed since then but we still had a great time . Our show start time was at 7pm , they opened the doors and let us in at 6pm . The line moves super quick so by 6:15 we were inside of the hall. We grabbed our drinks from the bar , bought swords for kiddos and had plenty of time to take pictures . Then after a short show they took us to the arena group by group . With general admission we had 3rd row seats which we loved , we were in yellow group. The show started right after everyone was seated. And they served the food right away. Staff on the floor was very helpful , our waiter was amazing. All of the performance crew was incredible 👏 . Food was delicious, chicken came hot and very well seasoned along with delicious baked potatoes and corn . Our drinks are constantly refreshed by our amazing waiter. This wasn't our first visit and surely will not be our last.

A Blast From The Past!!! An amazing place that is fun for everyone. If you buy the regular tickets or upgrade to the Royalty or Queen package doesn't matter because you can still see the whole show and enjoy a wonderful dinner which you must eat with your own bare hands. You can get Knighted by the Queen for an extra charge but it is worth it. So 4 tickets, upgrade to VIP Royalty package, 2 Knighting and 2 flags was almost $400. Parking is free and lots of handicap parking. The staff is very polite, friendly and respectful. The gifts shops sell everything from banners, shirts, masks and even real metal swords. The Queen and Knights put up a wonderful show which lasts about 2 hours. A great place to make memories.

Great show and the food was delicious and plentiful. Cocktails were available and Pepsi products and coffee were included in the price, along with the meal. Some people in are party were vegetarian and they said their stew was excellent. You order the vegetarian from your server so no need to contact the venue ahead of time.

I cannot express how great this place is with words. I brought my four year old son to see one of the shows and I ended up likely having more fun than he did. We enjoyed the show that was put together but the action packed fighting toward the end was phenomenal. The knights were hyped up about the acts that they were performing and everything. Our waiter was absolutely great, his mannerisms were phenomenal and he kept us taken care of. The amount of food that you get for the price is crazy good. The admission includes the meal. We got basically half of a rotisserie chicken, corn, potatoes, soup and drinks. A great value for the price of admission. Last but not least, I am a disabled veteran and I absolutely love businesses that support veterans. They support veterans and gave a generous amount off of our tickets and I am very grateful. I will without a doubt be returning. Thank you guys for a great experience.

This experience was a blast. We didn't bring any children with us but it definitely is family-friendly. Seeing the horses was my favorite part. There is a lot of crowd engagement. They try to get the food out as fast as possible and I appreciate that considering how large the group was. Would love to go again.

We loved it. If you can, order the VIP celebration package. You get great front row seating... a group pic for all members and a slice of cake. We loved it. The food was seasoned, and I was afraid it would be bland, so I brought my own seasonings, 😆 They are organized but get there early so you can sign in and take pics. It is crowded but is a big arena that is comfortable. Highly recommend for entertainment and fun. Tip your server.

Show was very entertaining. Food was good, a bit oily, but tasted good. Dessert is just a scoop of vanilla ice cream, so nothing too extravagant. But, you don't necessarily go for the food, you go for the show, which was fun. If you choose to have an adult beverage, be sure you are prepared to spend some money. Four of their normal size drinks cost almost $50 with tip! You do get to keep the plastic cup but it definitely wasn't worth $50. There are also options to purchase a keepsake mug or hurricane glass. I didn't price it out but my guess is that it was expensive as well. If you've never been here before, it is an interactive show. They want you to cheer for your color and allies and boo the opposition. Watching the horses do their tricks was great. Some of the actor choreography is a bit hokey but all-in-all, it was a really nice time with the family.

Very expensive but we had a blast! The food was good but beware that they do not give you utensils. We ate everything with our hands and it was messy. Everyone in my family enjoyed this except for my daughter who has always had sensory issues when it comes to getting her hands dirty. I do believe you can ask for utensils but we wanted to see what she would do. They also ask about dietary restrictions. They have vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options. The show was very exciting and so fun to watch. It lasted about 2 hours.

Awesome place. Fun. Great show. A little unclear when you first arrive on what to expect or do. Somewhat assumes customers have been here before. A little hard to eat dinner when the items are served piece meal. Our server in the blue section was awesome and really hustled.

We took a family trip to Medieval Times. It was my daughter's first time there. My little girls were just in cloud 9!! They loved everything about it. The fun show, the lights, effects, horses and knights! Food was absolutely delicious. We did both regularly plates and some had vegetarian/vegan option and that was good too. My daughters definitely want us to come back again! We did the Queens VIP package and sat front row. It was amazing! Early seating and best seats in the house for sure. We felt right in the action!

The best buck for your dollar!!! Everything was excellent from staff, running things, food, drinks, hospitality, and show! They work hard here to give you the real medieval experience. Joy for kids and parents, you won't be disappointed. The food was good and decent. Atmosphere was above and beyond. You don't need to be a kid to go and enjoy. It's a cute place to go on a first-time date. Take lots of cash because if you want to drink alcohol it can add up. Sovereign cups offer discounts on all nonalcoholic and alcohol beverages. Kids swords range from 25-45 To be knighted is 25.00 very cute! Lots of free parking and don't forgot to tip your server they work hard to please you!

I was impressed. Been 20 years since I last went. I was a bit skeptical. You could definitely tell the more experienced knights, their fight scenes were great. The newer knights were very step by step choreographed. The sound carried a bit weirdly so at times it was hard to hear what was being said. But we had a blast cheering on our knight, who was experienced with great showmanship.

  • 4/5 JD G. 2 years ago on Google
It's always a family fun experience at medieval times. Be ready to get a souvenir light up sword or wand for the little ones. As for food, they serve a steady stream of different food and a desert at the end. Now I thought the food was okay, but the show is the main attraction. Knights put on a great show battling on horses and on foot. A falconer and horse tricks for added flare. For fun and safe night out, this is a good option.

To the noble knights of the realm of this fine establishment, I commend you on your showmanship and bravery! What an exquisite display of swordplay and riding. My youngling was not only in awe, but was completely enamored with your royal highness and the armor. The royal feast was delicious and well seasoned. Our server treated us like royalty. Great job to those who make this experience enjoyable for the children.

I went for my first time tonight and it was a blast! The actors, and the staff, were wonderful and friendly! Food was delicious. :) The only recommendation would be to have some themed swords to the knights of the show. Let’s see a bull theme’d yellow knight sword!

Fun night out with the family. Food was surprisingly very good (plus you eat with your hands) and the show was amazing. Kids really enjoyed themselves and were engaged the whole time. The cost is a bit high but it is an experience you cannot get anywhere else. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

Took hubby here for his birthday. This was his first time here and he absolutely loved it! I paid extra for the "Knighting Ceremony" (although it was quick), he enjoyed the experience. Overall, a little bit on the pricey side, we had a good time.

The food was pretty good, better than I expected to be honest, and I would say the most delicious thing was the tomato soup and the garlic bread. If you're coming to one of these shows though it's probably not for the food and more for the show. And I will say the show was actually sweet. The jousting was cool, the fighting was pretty well choreographed and kept you guessing. A lot of horse showcase too if you're a fan of equestrians. I will say it is undeniably a bit pricey per person, but I would say it is worth the experience of seeing a joust at least once. Definitely a good place for kids and small children due to all the "medieval drama" and jousting. Definitely will come again, but with more people

We had absolutely the best time visiting Medieval times for dinner and show. Definitely great family outing. Little pricey, but worth every penny. Especially when you see amazed faces of your children. Great experience for adults as well, and food is surprisingly pretty good too :) Show was done very well. Props to all performers. They really did amazing job. Will visit again, and definitely recommend.

Fun times. Sitting up close gives a nice prospective. Really looks like any seat would be a good view. The food is a huge piece of chicken, garlic bread, potato and soup. Soup was watered down like crazy but the chicken was huge. Go in with realistic expectations. This isn't a Gordan Ramsey restaurant. It's medieval type food and you're paying for the entire experience. I'd go again. Well worth the upgraded tickets also.

I visit Medieval Times every few years with family or friends.  You always want to look for a discount code to get the best rate for the dinner and show.  The staff work hard and stick with the theme, never breaking character, and always with a smile.  I think they do a good job with the food and I always enjoy my meal.  They change the show every once in a while.  It's always good, but I did prefer the shows of old. It was always fun in the old days, with the evil wizard and the Green Knight always playing the bad guy.  It's still a fun show, and amazing to see the falcon and the trained horses.  The finale is the tournament with jousting and one on one combat.  It's certainly choreographed very well, and still very dangerous with the horses and weapons posing very real hazards.  The Medieval Times dinner and show is something everyone should try.

Medieval Times is fantastic! The actors are on point - keeps the entire family entertained the entire show! The food is awesome - very filling! They offer a pretty cool shop with all sorts of knives and swords! The alcoholic drinks are very good as well! I’ve been here a handful of times and every time is just as amazing as the first.

Such a cool dinner and show. Food was rustic but cooked well. Drinks were good but expensive. Show was top notch. Great job guys, and girl(the queen). The family had a blast. I want to go visit other states shows to see the differences, if any. Stayed at the radisson across the hwy. It would be walking distance if you dont want to drive. Overall experience was an A-. Our server was obviously newer and didn't quite have the routine down yet. Otherwise, get tickets asap. You wont regret it.

Coming back to Medieval Times since I was around 8-9 years old brought back so many fond memories going there. I brought my family my 2nd time going back and we enjoyed it very much. The food, gift shop, bar and entertainment I give it all a 5 they did such an exceptional service. We truly enjoyed the show. I loved the horses they were truly a site to see and how well they were kept and maintained you can tell they take care of their horses with such care. The horses were a spectacular site to see and I would say they were the stars of the show. We loved the Falconer as well what a beautiful display of his falcon flying high above the arena and very well trained. The knights did an amazing job keeping the show alive with their skilled talents. The queen was beautiful as always with her grace. We enjoyed the King with his speeches and how he approached the people in the crowds when I noticed he approached a handicap person loved the fact he took notice and posed a picture with them very kind and humble. Overall the experience going back to Medieval Times was a memorable one with my family. Thank you for an awesome time and wonderful service.

Surprisingly well organized and unique family experience. The gift shop had some fun items as well, although it would have been nice to see a varied snack selection in the gift shop to take into the theatre. This concept works, and the venue was crowded in a good way (good energy), without being overcrowded!

I gave it 3 stars because we were there for a matinee. I guess the evening shows are better? Or so I am told. The food was disappointing, and the show was kinda lame, but again, it was geared for school kids, so maybe the evening show is better? They had a falconer, which was cool. Otherwise, I have no intention of going back, not worth the price paid for entry.

I hadn't been here for a couple years, so decided to come here for my son's birthday. The show was great, the server was so so so great! He was super funny and sweet. I would go back just to have him as a server again! Prices were a bit steep I feel including the gift shop . We did add on the birthday package but the cake was disappointing. It was so dry and plain. The food wasn't as flavorful as I remember either which was a shame. But overall we had a great time

Perfect for a winter afternoon! My husband & I treated ourselves for lunch and had a wonderful time! The food was great and show was entertaining. This was my first time to this medieval times in Illinois. We had been to one in South Carolina both times we went the shows were amazing and we had a great time. The package was a bit pricey, but we ended up getting a free photo and our seats for the showwere front row so it was understandable. The main course food was amazing the soup and chicken and corn. Keep in mind when you go this is a restaurant where you eat like you were in medieval times, so no forks. The dessert was not the greatest here it was a little odd. It was more like a frozen Twinkie, but everything else was great. The cast met everyone in the hall and was very generous to take pictures. Definitely fun to do whether it be family night date night or just a getaway by yourself

Medieval times was fantastic I've always wanted to go so I was so happy to be able to take advantage of the special that they had going on so I could bring my family of four! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed listening to the crowds cheer for their team color! At times it was a little bit difficult to hear and understand what the king and queen were saying and the meal wasn't completely fulfilling but it was still a wonderful experience!

Went for my kiddo's birthday and it was a great fun family time. The show was staged but the energy was amazing. It's a fun time to have on a special occasion. The food was very tasty. The names of the food was so amusing that even I had to chuckle. The horse shows was surprisingly very well done and entertaining. I would definitely recommend it for a fun family time.

We have been three times with our family and friends. It is always great. You get plenty of food that you eat with your hands. The show is about two hours and they really work at it. The horses and knights perform in duals and jousting and the kids just go crazy yelling and cheering for their knight. We will go back for a birthday later this year.

One word; WOW!!! Medieval Times was a spectacular surprise. Filled with Chivalrous Knights on beautiful horses, rivalry, medieval tournaments, Cheers & Ale. This wonderful night out with family and friends, will not disappoint. A celebration from beginning to end. The dinner was surprisingly delicious. Feast on Dragons blood soup, Roasted Chicken, corn, potatoes & an assortment of alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages. Get your fingers deliciously messy as you dine without cutlery, so you may wanna bring a few wet wipes(they do provide them as well). Be swept off your feet as you Scream & Cheer for your knight in shining Armour There are indoor gift shops in every area, just outside the arena, Pubs & photo booths. Choose from a selection of packages. We went "All Out" and purchased the Queens Royalty Package. Trust me when I say; it was well worth it. Seating is first come first serve (unless you VIP). We got there early, on a cold afternoon & there was already a generous crowd. If you're bringing the kids & plan to buy Swords, flags, crowns, etc. you might want to bring an extra bag to keep your purchased items together. If possible, leave your coats in the car. Purchases can also be done from your seat. Credit cards are accepted at the gift shops, Pubs & at your seat. We stopped by the gift shop afterwards where you’ll find an enormous variety of gifts for the kids & the grownups. Gratuities are not included with your ticket purchase. I like this option because it allowed me to give a little extra to our host or hostess. They were wonderful. Don't wait till the end of the event for your potty break(especially if you have kids). The bathroom line is quite long for the ladies. Top your evening off with a tour of the Torture Museum. So, if you're feeling like a Game of Thrones sort of night with your Prince or Princess, this is the place.

What a fun show for both the kids and adults. Was very impressed with the food and the show. However, it's kind of a bummer that you really only get one for dinner which is chicken and if you don't want that the waitress said that you get bean stew... Also if you want an adult beverage or really anything additional the proices are outrageous in my opinion. The servers are also very greedy for tips and aren't afraid to vocalize it. Which was pretty unsettling... I'd say the show and venue were nice but they could be doing better in some areas and not be so greedy for every product they sell and the tips on top of that.

Not really sure what to say, I'm pretty sure you know what this place is all about. If not, it is a live action show with a fabulous dinner. No utensils here, makes it all the more fun! This is an experience you will not forget.

(Translated by Google) It is a huge environment, where you sit comfortably and eat a complete meal while watching a staging of medieval duels. Liked it! My family came here for my nephews birthday. Everyone we came across was so polite, & helpful to us. The actors are amazing. My nephew was completely mesmerized the entire time lol. We truly enjoyed every moment of it. Definitely will be coming back for another visit.

What a show! If you enjoy knights, jousting, dinner theater, and horses, don't hesitate. You're going to love Medieval Times. Definitely want to go back next year. Can't wait to catch another show. Food was decent. Solid beer options. Acting was excellent and very fun. Our serving wrench, Adam, was hilarious too. A blast! Can't wait to visit again. So glad we came.

first off the blue night rules! The queen’s acting and the green knight’s acting was great! The food was perfectly seasoned. My favorite parts of the show was the opening crack of the whip, the falcon and the on foot combat. Also I really enjoyed the jokes of the Lord who telling us when to exit it was a great experience overall. Also the guy that was selling flags and rose over in the blue section was super nice friendly and funny. The ice cream was really good. I definitely think it was the price and I hope on making this a yearly thing to attend my husband. I feel bad for the horses they look sad 😞 and the white one the blue knight was riding at the beginning of the show (7/14/21 @7pm) seemed to have a lot excessive drooling. Please reassure us that the horses are being treated well. I wouldn’t mind if they had less of the horses in the beginning of the show.

This is a really fun place. Exciting and entertaining. I had as much fun as the kids did! Only giving 4 stars because sadly, the food made me sick.

Interesting and Entertaining.! If you have any idea of knights and this era (unlike my Japanese wife) and enjoy it, then this place is for you. The entertainment is great and the food is interesting, especially with the fact that they keep it original with no silverware (use your hands). The place is kept clean and orderly, well scripted and a good show. Recommended for a fun evening.!

It's dinner and a show. Lol It is a fantastic time!! My first time and also my daughters!daughter's!! I did upgrade everything. All of the employees were fantastic. We Eben saw our knight in the parking lot when we were leaving and yell TEAM BLUE!! He raised his hand and yelled it back. Such a magical place. Everyone should go atleast once!!

Great show! I was close enough to talk to the actors and they were all awesome and fun good interacting with customers. I get the opinion that they love the job. Overall for me and my group of 20 no one was disappointed we all had a great time.

This was a great experience for our entire family! We got the VIP experience and it was worth it in my opinion. We sat in the front row, closest to the action. The food tastes pretty good and the portions were great as well! We will definitely do this again!

Second time coming to Medieval Times. Very fun and entertaining. They always give you to much food. I do wish the seating area was more open so you didn't have to ask people to move if you need to head to bathroom.

Took my daughter and godson for their first time and it was a blast. From the moment they saw the castle to their first steps inside, they were so amused by the entire experience. The staff was great and were great with the kids, obviously it’s super easy quickly to spend money aside from the ticket prices alone. So just be mindful of that. Food was pretty good but that’s also part of the ticket price so it’s nice, they also accept cash and cards vs other places that have gone cashless.

We brought our kids for the very first time and they loved every minute of it. Well worth the price. We did the upgrade that got us in the front row, pictures, cake, and VIP lanyards. Again, well worth the money to watch our 3 kids enjoy their evening as much as they did. The food was hot and very good. Our server was attentive. Our green knight was amazing! He interacted with us and our section often. The yellow night also interacted with my crazy kids and it was hilarious. Can't wait to bring the kids again!

It may seem a bit pricey, but it's dinner and a show! The food was pretty delicious, just be prepared to eat with your hands! All the adults and children in our party enjoyed themselves. Our wench did a great job making sure we were taken care of. We were very pleased.

The entire experience was amazing. We initially had tickets right when Covid hit and they kept our credit till now! The customer service was fantastic in getting our new tickets set up for the same cost and even though the tour dungeon was closed they still gave us the credit to use. Also, the food and entertainment was amazing. Seriously recommend for all ages. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

What a fantastic experience! I needed to eat gluten-free, and the accommodations were outstanding! I still ate most of what my party did minus gluten items which all had a substitute! I am also a person who uses a wheelchair and I’m impressed with the time taken to make sure this experience was accessible!

We booked in advance and chose out upgrades. Easy parking, greeted at the door and guided to all of the fun. 2+ hours of captivating entertainment, with a very satisfying meal, under $100 per person (plus reasonable beverages and souvenirs). Highly recommend for any age, second time going at it was just as exciting as the first!

I loved going to this place as a kid and patiently waited for my kids to be a bit older so they could really enjoy it. I got the celebration package for all of us for my kids' first time, plus our anniversary was recently and this was kinda an anniversary trip with the kids. We paid almost 350 for everything. We were seated at the back by the entrance to the dining room so it wasn't the best seats but kids don't really care about that lol Our server was training another and he kinda got a bit rude/condescending with her. She asked what we wanted to drink and he swooped right in and said, "why don't you take care of the ones we already have, over there" a bit rudely We thought she did a fantastic job, and I remember having to shadow someone whenever I got a new serving job, it's a bit anxiety inducing, and then she has to remember to do the medieval speaking too on top of it all, I get it My kids are already begging to go back. I guess it's safe to say they had a wonderful time which is all that matters

This was really cool. The dinner theater was amazing. Food and beer service slow. They forgot about us a few times. But the jousting and sword fights were awesome! Not to mention our teams knight won!!!

Took the grandkids to a Sunday 4 pm show. It was engaging and fun. The actors were well trained and believable. The horses were beautiful. Staff was friendly and efficient and fun. The only thing down side is the acoustics are bad and it was hard to understand dialog. The English accent didn't help. I would still recommend for a fun family time.

The food was mediocre, though served at a timely pace. I did not feel rushed during the dining experience. Eating with one's hands was an experience in itself! The live action event was stunningly entertaining! One should remember they are paying more for the atmosphere and the event than the food. The "adult" drinks were pricey. Don't get caught purchasing a Medical Times mug unless you desire one as a souvenir! The drinks can be served in a regular glass, though they push their souvenir containers.

I enjoyed taking my daughter for her first experience and sharing that time with our friends. It had been more than 20 years since I had last been to Medieval Times. We had great seats and the food was yummy. The service was great and no one was pushy or expecting us to purchase anything.

We had the BEST time! Everything from souvenirs, food, photos, and even education about horses and hawks was wonderful! Our server David was great as well. He just added to our evening! Overall, we had a great time!

👍 A few cool sculptures. But pretty small. Not much walking, but there is a small circle-ish mini trail (I mean it's a 7 min circle) right outside the sculpture area for a quick burst of sun. The sculptures themselves are completely shaded. Which can be good or bad... I am a sun chaser so I was sadden...
