Had a wonderful time here. I found it to be the perfect place to relax on my vacation. There is a peace that washes over you as you walk around the grounds and gardens. Only to be met with stillness inside the temple. There are no photos allowed inside, but "rules" nor an elderly proctor are enough to stop me. So enjoy as I did.

It feels a bit strange writing a review of a house of worship. This is such a majestic landmark. The building, grounds and interior are immaculate. The 8 inspirational and unifying sayings in the interior are quite uplifting. There's a serenity you feel once you enter. Hard to describe. The sheer majesty and beauty of the dome-shaped building is overwhelming in a comforting way.

Very beautiful place specially when you go in summer and fall season. It's not a huge place but you can find the peace inside the temple and good walk to go around the temple. Very beautiful water fountain surrounded by beautiful plants. You can take great photos n videos here. Parking is free.

A magical place to visit! The serenity of the gardens are just out of this world. Go inside the temple and sit in silence with strangers, the height of the dome is humbling and reminds one of the greatness of god.

The Bahá'i House of Worship is an amazing temple (and grounds) located in Wilmette. It is absolutely stunning. You get a feeling of tranquil energy when you go visit this place. The building itself is impressive with all the carved designs on the building. The gardens as well are beautiful and you can just sit there and enjoy the sounds of nature and the water. Great place for reflexion, meditation and enjoying the day.

Just amazing to visit this place .I had a peaceful walk all by myself early in the morning around the Baha'i House , took lots of pictures then I entered inside, sat there and enjoyed my time in silence. I highly recommend this place to visit if you're around Chicago. There is no entrance fee .

Stunning temple/house of worship, and the religion itself has a wonderful message of unity. Came in from out of town for business and caught the early flight just so I could sit in the gardens and the temple for a moment and find some much needed peace.

The building and surrounding grounds are quite beautiful. A truly stunning work of architecture. This is a great place for prayer and meditation. Many quiet nooks and areas to simply just be. There is a welcome center on the grounds that provides information regarding the history of this historic place as well as current events and services.

Interesting building to see and go for a walk. Area is really nice but the whole complex is pretty from the outside and meh on the inside. Kinda similar to the idea of it imo. Anyway it's something to stop by and see. Interesting symbols on the facade as well. You can find star of David right next to Svastika.

This is a peaceful place. The gardens are immaculate, and the nine fountains around the house of worship compete the tranquil setting. The staff is very helpful and kind. Even though they were short staffed, someone came to open the bookstore specifically for our group. The house of worship does require silence and no photos, so if you go in, make sure to follow those guidelines. The architecture is gorgeous.

Beautiful house of worship with beautiful grounds. The whole place feels peaceful and is meant for relaxation, meditation and spiritual connection. No pictures of the inside are allowed but it’s a huge room essentially filled with chairs and scriptures throughout. It’s beautiful inside and out! It is free to enter and brochures along with prayer books are available in both Spanish and English!

We went to this place a couple of Fridays ago. The volunteer that spoke to us inside was super polite. She told us some about her faith and the origins of their religion. Then we spent time walking the stunning grounds. The gardens are well kept and the Baha’i are welcoming to everyone. The chapel is beautiful. It is a very serene place to visit.

this is little outside of Chicago but worth the travel if you love architecture and intricate details. I was there last October and loved the temple and its garden. The inside and outside of the temple is equally beautiful. If you have enough time, then this is certainly a place to add to your Chicago itinerary.
