If I could I give 0 stars the lady that work there is very rude knowing I was ordering for my family since we was visiting Chicago wanting African food and decided to visit there. Well another African restaurant got our money and made a lot of money on top of a tip. Ya lost KI African restaurant ya have a rude lady who works their. I decided to walk out and did not want to spend my money their. On top of that she told me they was out of almost everything on their menu and I came around 6pm. But whatever someone else received our money.

Very delicious I come all the way from great lakes to get it. Jollof rice is good too.

I called in one hour before closing to order fufu with egusi and white fish and it was delicious! I appreciate the woman fixing my food at the last minute. It took a little more time but great food is fixed with love and she definitely did that! I will come in again!

The Asaro was too salty and the yam was not even mashed at all. The jollof rice seemed more like left over rice and stew quickly mixed and steamed together. The meat pie was soo dry. Overall, first time getting their food and everything I bought was just TERRIBLE.

Walked in and the restaurant was empty. The smell was very bad and the customer service was horrible. Me and my boyfriend were told 30 mins but when we went back after 15 mins for a refund because we changed our mines, the lady that was accompanying us was very rude and hadn’t even started our order. I really wanted to try the fufu and egusi but the environment of this place was just off and bad.

I really enjoyed the plantains and beans— flavorful!! Had to wait about an hour but it was definitely still a good experience. The woman running the place is an amazing person who works harder than the average person. I was really impressed with her — I wish she had more employees for her sake.

Horrible customer service! I ordered on Ubereats and waited 1 hour before they canceled my order. I called the restaurant to see why and the lady stated the price was incorrect on the app! It's up to the restaurant to update their prices not mine responsibility!

Soooo, this was my first time eating African dishes. I’m a very picky eater, and don’t like spicy food, so I just knew that I wasn’t going to like it. My daughter told me to order the Egusi soup with goat meat, and I also wanted to taste the Jollof rice bc, we saw it on YouTube. At first bite, I was hooked! The Egusi soup tasted like my mothers oxtail soup, but the goat meat and fufu made it hit different!😮‍💨 The Jollof rice was a familiar taste as well, but I couldn’t get enough! This will be my go to spot from now on. If you decide to give it a try, order over the phone. Because it’s freshly cooked, you’ll have to wait for 40 minutes, but I t’s definitely worth the wait!

I am visiting Chicago with my partner and friends for a Navy Graduation. The graduate is Nigerian and requested his first meal be African food. We drove 45 min and the experience was well worth it. We ordered multiple dishes including, fufu, egusi, jollof, ayamase and different meats. We are all stuffed and HAPPY. The establishment felt homey and the food was made with love. You have to visit even if your drive is 45 min, it’s worth it ☺️

This food was so delicious. It has so much flavor. It tasted like it came out of someone’s grandma’s kitchen! The atmosphere isn’t the prettiest but the service was great. The last was super nice and attentive. Going to go back with more family and friends! If you’re looking for homemade African food please come here! I got the fufu with egusi soup. My sister had the jollof rice and chicken.

Worst costumer service ever! I wanted to try the egusi soup and fufu for the first time and the guy called me and started yelling saying I need to order a big size.. I told him I never tried it and wanted to get a small one first, and he refused and kept yelling. If you refuse to take my order then why have it on the menu

Went in to order food stood there for 10 min and left. Another person walked in and went to the back. Still no one came out. I gues they don't want to make money.

Ordered fufu with egusi and a side of okra stew for take-out and it was. delicious. If you place an order through door dash, you may want to call the restaurant as well to confirm that they received your order. There was a little disconnect between the app and the restaurant.

I had 3 orders from here. Amala/gbegiri entree egusi, poundo and jollof rice. The latter (rice) was underwhelming but I loved the rest. Not the most delicious I've had but tasty enough to satisfy any palette. Decently priced as well. I'll keep ordering while I'm in town.

The bitterleaf soup was efo style and not original. They're new and I had to wait 40 mins for food to be ready. I'll give them some time to become legit.

First we had to pay for water, secondly didn't have half of an already short menu and thirdly but not last food took too long. Was not that tasty and she seem to have an attitude, won't be going back.

The environment is clean and okay. But the food 🤢🤢 I ordered edikaikong soup. Worst decision I have ever made. It taste nothing like it. I really would not recommend this particular dish. You can have it if your mouth is use to eating random things. I hate giving this type of review. But it's just what it is

Not worth it. First I was overcharged and then was told it would take an hour...when we returned an hour later she needed another 10 minutes which turned into almost 20. $12 for hunks of a chicken you could barely eat, barely any meat, no thanks. Absolute waste of food. Total dinner was $60. There has to be somewhere better.
