It was surprisingly good given that it's a Chinese buffet in Wisconsin. The spicy chicken was excellent and the egg rolls hit the spot. They even had a decent dessert section which is strange because the desserts at Chinese buffet normally suck.

["I think they gave up a long time ago and it shows. The food sucked. Styrofoam plates and plastic forks even after paying $17 for a lunch buffet. It was busy enough and with that high a price, they should be able to hire a decent cook and dishwasher. Won't be surprised if this place closes within a year unless it turns around.",null,[0,327]]

Good variety of food, but some was cold. Great service, used plates were taken very timely! Lots of available seating and temperature was conformable even in the cold outside temperatures.

1 star given for the friendly service. Thats about it. Place looks like a dump! Decent looking food selection. Dumpy food that is. Soda tasted like it was given to them from Goodwill. The meat in the noodles tasted as if they took it right from the dead raccoon in the bushes outside of our booth window. Tear this joint down.

Food is good and people are pleasant. I would not say it is the best asian food I've had but I would say it is the best food for the price around the area. If you're looking for a place to stuff yourself for $16 a piece, this might be a good spot for you. Some of the best custard I've ever had at an asain buffet. I would just recommend staying away from the grapes. They taste more like cucumbers.

Actual worst restaurant I have ever been to. I payed 33 dollars for me and my s/o and I feel like I payed 33 dollars to be slapped across the face. The food was horrifyingly disgusting to the point that everything tasted like raw, rotten fish. There is no effort put in to make any of the food taste like actual food. I would have been better off eating the styrofoam cups they have instead of the excuse for fried rice in the bacteria ridden buffet. If I could leave negative stars I would

Surprised! I had low expectations going here for lunch- I WAS WRONG! Buffet was laid out beautifully. Everything I tried was delicious. Fruit was fresh - everything was fresh! Great chicken & broccoli! Staff friendly, eager to take away your plate so you can go fill up another one. Gets busy at lunchtime, so go early. Worth the drive out to Waukesha!

Good Selection of delicious Chinese (and a little American) food! 😁 I'm never disappointed with New China Buffett!!... However, I noticed the Waukesha location doesn't have as much of a variety. Probably because it's a smaller building. That's the only reason I didn't give em five stars🤷 BUT they still had all the stuff I love,,,😁👍 mmm SO good!!🤤 Also employs are always super-friendly there!! THANKS NEW CHINA BUFFET!! 👋😁👍

Instead of love, this place cooks with contempt. They're following the "Sleazy Buffet Handbook" and attempting to kill anyone who eats here with salt and sugar, and hiding any water that doesn't have more of the same in it. I could forgive the foam plates and plastic forks, but the food is damn near inedible.

Decent food. I often get take out here. When ordering take out the quantity of food is awesome (1 order is the size of 3 good meals). Quality of food could be better but still tastes good. Prices have gone up recently, but the service is always great.

Huge amount of choices. All dishes kept full. Good quality but half were room temperature at best. Stoneware plates and plastic cups & glasses have been replaced with Styrofoam and silverware has been replaced with plastic.

Bad experience at this restaurant. I absolutely love crab Rangoon and would consider it my favorite food of all time, this restaurant made fake looking Rangoon with a unsettling white cream from undercooking. For a joint that specializes in Chinese food I am severely disappointed. Almost every dish was left unfinished because of how sick it made me feel. I paid 70 bucks for my family of 4 to eat here and we all agreed we will not be stopping by again. If you desire Chinese food, it's better to go to panda express at the least. I wish I would throw up so my body does not have to process this food.

The food wasn't the greatest thing I've ever eaten but by no means was it bad. Much of it was very good some things I didn't like as much but that's all about personal tastes and preference. There was alot of seafood which I couldn't try due to my severe shellfish allergies but none of the food that was dangerous to me seemed to make any contact with any of the food I could eat, so the buffet itself was tended to and kept clean and free of cross contamination. The food was hot and fresh and filled often. The plates and cups were Styrofoam which doesn't scream high class or environmentally friendly to some, but I personally didn't mind, it didn't make the food taste any different so I had no issue with it. Overall we were very satisfied with our meal, we loved the little dessert cakes and ice cream that we had before leaving, and were glad that we gave this place a shot.

I've probably made my last visit. I'm not a fan of disposable plates, cups, and cutlery, but I could overlook that if the food was good. This time, however, was very disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was mostly deep fried breading with little chicken to show for it. The peanut butter chicken was the same. The rice seemed dried out. Also, and I know that the restaurant can't control this, but the woman sitting behind me had the loudest, foulest mouth I've heard this side of a pirate vessel. Stay classy, lady.

["Did the buffet and love the variety - from basic staples to some more fun options and lots of desserts. I loved all the fresh fruit, and they even had pizza and chicken for my son.\nSigns could include a bit more detail about the food options on the buffet, but the staff is available to explain. Wish they were using real plates and silverware, but understand this may be cheaper than hiring additional staff. The place could use some updates to the seating area, but overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and our food.",null,[0,180]]

My take-out order was beef fried rice and egg rolls and my wife had a chicken order and an order of Crab Rangoon. I can't give my wife's opinion. The servings were more than ample. They received cups of sweet and sour sauce instead of the cheap sauce packets. The flavor of the egg roles was so-so; 20% of the beef was grisly; the overall flavor of the beef fried rice was somewhat flat; I liked the large pieces of onion. We received a complimentary dessert of which I have yet to try. All in all, I rate the New China Buffet **1/2 out of *****.

I will be honest, this place doesn’t seem very inviting from the road. They recently ..finally fixed some of the landscaping which was very neglected. They also fixed the sign which the wind took out about a year ago. But fillling the shrub beds with some stones helped greatly. I believe this was a Sizzler at one point and it still appears this way inside.. but that’s just fine. The owners are always here.. I often wonder if they get a day off. The ladies that bus the tables are quiet but hard workers and I always make sure I tip them, and so should You. The Food? Amazing. It’s always hot and fresh when we go, normally on a Saturday for dinner. Yes they have styrofoam plates and bowls and plastic utensils.. so what? It’s VERY clean. My only complaint. The soda is “off” and somewhat a strange taste. Very syrupy and almost makes you thirstier but it IS included and the bottled water is a refreshing option. Also, I feel corners are cut with pre prepared fried rice. I’m not a fan of it and I love egg drop soup but the Egg Drop here is too thick for a soup. But everything else is great. I wish this location had Sushi.

They have a few of these buffet's in the area but not really a chain. My companion is more familiar with this location and has been talking about the chicken in peanut sauce so we traveled the extra 15 miles. It was well worth it! Just walking in and observing the buffet and seeing it well stocked and the restaurant was clean and following covid protocol was impressive. The food was hot and fresh and the plus for me was the bottled water was available and included in the price.

Always a great experience, all you can eat buffet, Always fresh and multiple chinese dishes, they also have American foods on the buffet ( fried chicken legs, pizza, etc). Been eating there for years. Reasonable pricing approximate 7.99 -3pm 14.99 dinner

Every once in a while we stop here when we are out shopping. The food was as usual really good. Having to use plastic plates and utensils was a bit much, I certainly prefer the standard cutlery, but we understand the current precautions.

It's a chinese buffet! The food is hot and fresh, a good variety of dishes are available. Service is always nice, and it's clean.

Absolutely horrible! Save your $ and go somewhere else. I can't believe this place is still open. The quality of the food is way below avg. Fried rice seemed to be made of minute rice & had no flavor. Crab Rangoon had a spoiled taste. Fried fish and baked fish was horrid. Chicken for the sweet n sour chicken was extremely tough. $60 for a family of 4 was a complete waste. I took about 1 bite of a few dishes trying to find something edible. No success. (Unless you count the fortune cookie). Do not go. Hopefully when they shut down, a good place will move in. I wish I could give it zero stars.

I find the food is ok, but for a buffet, I found the food selection limited. There are some American dishes to choose from besides Chinese food. The price I paid for a Sunday night buffet, was not worth it. I would try another Chinese restaurant. The dishes of food were replaced regularly. My dishes were removed quickly and gone when I can back from another trip to the buffet. This restaurant was busy. But I found that while there was plenty of seating, it was very cramped.

This place is okay if you don't have a lot of money and want something if you are craving Chinese food. Not super fancy or the best, but it was a nice and quiet place to eat.

We arrived about 5:30...food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Restaurant was clean and a woman was walking around clearing the plates as you finished. She also was washing tables down as people left. Very good if you are really hungry. Nice variety also.

Very clean dining room but food is not as good as before COVID-19 pandemic. Lo mein noodles was good. Some of the food was cold off buffet. Fried shrimp was mostly breading...very small shrimp. Chicken and broccoli was best thing there overall. No one waved cold food that suppose to be hot. Staff friendly.

I'm new to the area. I came here for Chinese food after Panda Express was out of chicken (yes, really). I was really disappointed in the quality of the food and also the selection. Granted, I had low expectations given that this is a buffet. However, I thought I could make a nice plate of a few different dishes, but the dish I made was no where near worth $16. The staff didn't have a very friendly vibe, either. I don't think I'll be returning.

A great economic option for all you can eat Chinese food. Chinese owned is always a good sign. Don't expect anything gourmet or posh ambience, it's just a great place to have a big variety of Chinese food till you drop 😁

Went for dinner. Food was warm and didn't have any mushroom pork left on buffet. Didn't refill the entire time we were there. Only had soda and water bottles. No horchata. Will continue going to West Allis location. Better overall experience

08-07-22 Went at approximately 5pm, plenty of seating and parking. Price was almost $17. Selection was ok. Flavor was ok/fair. Several non Asian foods on buffet, maybe for kids who don't like the Asian ones. Fruit/dessert bar was as big as all the hot food combined. Never ran short on any food. Styrofoam cups and plates, plastic utensils. Overall just ok. Fills you up but not a "gota try" kinda place. Probably won't be back.

  • 2/5 JJ R. 2 years ago on Google
They increased the prices AND they don't do regular plates and cups anymore. So every time you serve yourself, another foam plate and cup to the landfill. Utensils are also plastic. One of the food islands was closed. So there.
