Highly disappointed. This was our first time trying Magellan's. Since it was so hot today, I took the night off from cooking for the fam and ordered takeout. My hubby LOVES a good chicken sandwich and is always trying to find "the one",so based on the menu description we ordered that. We also ordered a Bayou pizza, chicken tenders and the cod dinner. Sounds delish right?? Not so much. The chicken sandwich did have a large piece of chicken and the flavors were all there but the cooking execution made this a terrible experience for us across the board. The chicken (both the tenders and the sandwhich) was burnt to a crisp, tough as shoe leather and dryer than the Sahara. The pizza was blackened and not with a cajun seasoning. The anduolli sausage also had a sour taste to it. ( I love anduolli too ☹️) The fish was also overcooked but at least not too burnt, which made it dry. The fries were the only redeeming item in the order. The kill fries are delish as is the bayou sauce. I can also say the service was good, the young lady who took my order was great and she was very nice when picking up our order.

The first time we had pizza at Magellan's it came out with a burned crust, so we never went back. Today, after being told that the pizza is really good, we decided to give it a try again. Wrong idea......burned again!! So I brought it back to get a refund and was treated totally disrespectfully by the bartender. I got a disgusted groan and $22.00 tossed on the bar. No apology at all. So all in all, bad pizza and terrible service.

Our server was awful. She was somewhat rude when asked a question about the pizza and her response: "I gave you a menu." After taking our orders, I had to wait 50 min for a fish fry, and that was after ordering it twice. The fish was a tad dry, but the French fries were delicious. 45 minutes to get a sprite that was a glass of ice with a splash of soda. They gave us the wrong pizza. When we told our waitress that it was wrong, she gave us more attitude and transferred the blame to the kitchen, saying, "They told me to take it out to table 30. So that's what I did." By the time we got our pizza, it was almost 90 minutes from the time we originally ordered it. They finally got us a more competitive waitress to help us to salvage our dining experience. Thank goodness for Ms. Dina coming to our rescue, or we might still be waiting for our order at 9 pm. The evening wasn't a total loss. The band that was playing was very good.

Came with a group of about 50. Preordered pizza and salad. Had enough pizza for about half of us when we arrived — and did not save any tables for us. About 20 minutes later, they brought out our salad, but no dressing. That came 5 minutes later. Not good for groups!!!!

The service was great and the food was quick, but the chicken was a little overcooked. Other than that, it's a pretty great place!

The pizza was pretty good. Where this place falls short is on the price of their drinks and the fact that too many of the options listed on the menu weren’t available. I also don’t like that our server requested we order our drinks based on a numbering system because she doesn’t know the menu. Overall, it’s not somewhere I’m planning to go again or recommend.

I have wanted to try their pizza for a while. I decided to order delivery last night. I have to say I was very disappointed. I didn't care for the flavor of the pizza and I noticed it has some spiciness, possibly from the pepperoni. The onions were in thin rings and not chopped, so when you took a bite of pizza you got a bunch of onion pulling off the pizza. The crust wasn't crisp, but I can't fault them for that, that is probably from getting it delivered. I thought the pizza might be better cold. I tried it cold, and still don't care for it. The garlic cheese bread was very good. I have heard great things about their burgers, so I will have to give them a try. The comment regarding the onions was a simple statement. I guess based on the comments from the owner I will be taking my business somewhere where it will be appreciated.

Amazing pizza, the meatlovers is bomb, and they have more beers than you could try in one night. Also If you like spicy I strongly recommend the kill fries!

Stopped @ Magellan’s after seeing a play. Walked into Magellan’s, bartender said Hi but that is all that we received. We had planned on drinks & food but we received no service. The bar was absolutely not packed & after waiting 20 minutes we walked out. One bartender, brown hair, was busy taking a phone order. The other bartender, blond hair, stood & talked to the same patron the whole while we waited. After 20 minutes, as we were walking out I stated, “Thanks for the service”. We proceeded to Mainstream Bar & Grill & had an absolutely enjoyable time. We were acknowledged & welcomed immediately. Service was on point & food was delicious. Thank you Mainstream!!!

The pizza is always phenomenal. And I love that they have several different fun and specialty pizzas apart from the usual picks at other places. I do recommend the Dirty Dirty. But they are all so good. So good! I also want to comment on the service. The service is always fantastic but I want to give Amy a special shout out. She was the most fun, genuine, and pleasant waitress I’ve had in a long time. She went above and beyond in her service and was just phenomenal even with it being crazy busy. Waitresses like her are what makes me want to keep coming back.

I love how they set up their sandwiches. Pick your protein. Then add whatever toppings and side you want. You don't get up charged for wanting sweet potato fries.Or guacamole. I had a black bean burger and it was awesone!! I will be back again and again

I really love the atmosphere of this place but the food was inedible. I ordered the vegetarian Italian pizza and it was just gross. So much cheese and so greasy it was served on cardboard just to soak it up. Is what it is, I love pizza and definitely would not suggest other pizza lovers go here.

Love the 50 + beers on tap to be able to try something new every time I stop. The Hawaiian pizza, Philly cheese steak sandwich and zucchini fries are the best!

Great place for pizza and drinks! Atmosphere is great, especially on nice days when they can open the windows up. Weekly specials are fantastic (I'm looking at you, Tuesday 😉) and pizzas are delicious, fresh, and of generous proportions. Not sure what bad reviewers problems are, must be used to pizza from a defunct roman dictator or former German pilot. Every time I've had it with family and friends it's only been rave reviews! So happy to have this spot in waukesha!

Went for a work christmas party. Emailed ahead of time to ask about food available due to an allergy/intolerance. They gave a few options. Once there and ordered food, they told me they couldn't make it. My only option was a plain salad. Sounds like they need to be a little more educated with allergies/intolerance. It's a common thing nowadays. It was way too crowded in there but maybe just not our style of atmosphere we like. Server was amazing, he was great. My husband said food was okay but not enough for us to go back.

["The food and drinks were great. The lights were all red (hence the strange hue of the pictures).\n\nWe ordered a personal sized BBQ chicken pizza and the white cheddar cheese curds. The pizza was delicious and the cheese curds were okay.\n\nThey have a very large selection of beer type drinks (stout, IPA, sours, cider, etc) on tap.\n\nOverall I would recommend. My only complaint was that the seating was strange. Either the table was too low or the chair was too high. My thighs felt a bit cramped and I couldn't sit straight facing the table comfortably.",null,[0,96]]

Came in when they had a large party (a beer/pub crawl). The pub crawl party ended up to be much larger (more than double) than what was expected, so our party of six was moved to another area to accommodate the larger group. The manager was very nice and apologetic for having to move us, but having worked in the service industry, we knew the situation they were in. They took excellent care of us and our meal came out quickly. Drinks were replenished regularly. Enjoyed a great meal with friends and service was top notch! Couldn’t ask for more. We’ll definitely be back!

Have been here many times to eat and drink. I've tried alot of different things (pizza, chicken, apps, ect) and they've all been great. The bartenders always do a great job escpecially Dina. I usually get good table service. They host a stage during Friday Night live and a tent during St Patty's day. Magellans is a great part of the community.

We visited on FNL and we were seated immediately, even though they were extremely busy - expected to have to wait a bit. The staff were very friendly and fast, the food came out quickly and was absolutely awesome! Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with only the bartender working the floor and she ran her but off and never had to wait. The pizza here is amazing with nothing but top notch ingredients, it was cooked to perfection. We love Magellan's 😁

Honestly one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I thought from the way they describe their pizzas on their website that they were made in house, but I've never been served a house-made pizza on a piece of cardboard. There was so much cheese on our two personal pizzas that they were inedible. I could hardly choke down one slice. It had all the characteristics of a cheap frozen pizza, but more expensive. The beer prices are crazy. $7 for a 10 oz pour of a beer that should be served as a pint for the same amount. The service was OK, but based on our pizza experience and beer prices we will never return.

Great vibe. Friendly place. Shannon is a great bartender. She is attentive, hard working and very personable. I wish she would work on Sundays, then I would feel compelled to watch NFL there.

We had a group of ten that stopped in at Magellan’s for drinks and lunch today. The beer selection was amazing and Shannon let us try samples to make sure we would like it before ordering. We ordered nachos which were very good and generous portions to boot! Their pizza is homemade and is fantastic. We ordered Hawaiian, Garlic Mushroom and the regular CSMO. Shannon was attentive and friendly. Definitely would go back to Magellan’s again!

Had a party here in the backroom with 50 people. Outstanding service in every way, excellent food, great atmosphere. Great communication from the whole staff from start to finish. Thank you Magellan's for a memorable day!!!

We went around 4 last Saturday and day in front by the large opening. Our waitress was excellent as we didn't have to wait long to be served or ordering additional drinks. I thought the pizza prices were a little high but they were delicious and huge.

  • 3/5 Eric H. 3 years ago on Google
The staff was fantastic but the sausage pizza was not. The sauce had absolutely no seasoning. It was like eating pureed tomato's. The same sauce is used for the cheese sticks and other apps. If you are going for drinks this is the place but any other pizza place is better than this. They meed to make adjustments because you can’t just rely on your name. I will try it again in 6 months or so to see if it improves. Maybe they just screwed up the sauce that day.

Always great service from the bar staff. Russell is great at mixing drinks and fast and friendly always. Dan, the owner, stops out from time to time to greet tables and say hello as well. Great beer selection matched with a great pizza selection makes this a top tier spot in Downtown Waukesha. I personally recommend Wed night's $6 chicken sandwich and select $3 tap specials, you can't beat that deal!

My friend recommended this pizza place for their variety of pizzas and quality. The pizza was delicious! I won't say it's the best pizza I've ever had but it definitely was up there. I especially loved the unique atmosphere and the many many choices of pizza creations they had on their menu.

Went to this place after a basketball game on 11/12/21 and ordered 2 hamburgers which were lukewarm but okay. However, the kicker was that we ordered a pizza to go which turned out to be burnt. In fact the whole back side was black. Needless to say it was not tasty.

It's been 12 years since I've found a favorite pizza. In the last 9 years of owning a nearby business, I'm shocked nobody has told me about this place. Add the fact they have about 15 micro brews on tap, you MUST try this place.

One bite, everybody knows the rules! Great regular pizza and a great selection of specialty pizzas if you want one that’s “outside the box” from regular pizza toppings. There are lots of good options to fit anyones taste buds…chicken, meat, red sauce, white sauce, no sauce and more. It’s not a super thin crust, but not thick pan style either. It is more so a thinner home style, hand tossed crust. This soft and.crunchy crust is delicious. Just a good pizza with plenty of toppings. Order more than you need and it tastes just as good the next day! As a side note, we were told that personal size pizzas are not available on weekends, so just the 10” and 16”.

First time I ordered pizza here at Magellan’s looking at google reviews for BEST pizza in the town. I’m highly disappointed with the taste leaving nothing other than salty and burnt flavor. Will continue to hunt around for better pizzas. On a good note, I can also say the service was good, the young lady who took my order was great and she was very nice when picking up our order.

  • 5/5 Lori T. 2 years ago on Google
Love their pizza a bit pricey but not for what you get. Service was great even though it was a Friday night live. I was think their 1/2 priced appetizer but was told they didn't do them on Friday night live even though it was the special for friday on the menu. I will definitely be going back again.

We decided to go out for pizza and was highly disappointed, was told our server was going to be with us shortly after sitting for 5 mins, by the bartender that couldn't even make eye contact and looked at the floor. Then we decided to move to the bar since no server showed up to grab a beer and expressed that we would like service and was met with disrespect and attitude from the bartender. As much as I love to give places some chances before writing them off, this was by far the worst experience had in a long time. Especially after the bartenders comments when expressing our concerns. We will not be back. If I could give negative stars I would.

Magellan's pizza is amazing!!!! First time trying it, will definitely go back to try a different variety! The pizza crust is delicious, and it's obvious the ingredients they use are of high quality!

We hadn't been to Magellan's for a while, We were going to have a drink, and eat dinner. We had no idea that they only have pizza now! My husband is lactose intolerant, so we had a drink and ate somewhere else. It was pretty dead there, for a Saturday.

  • 4/5 J H. 2 years ago on Google
As always a great craft beer selection. Za lacked impactful red sauce but crust and other ingredients were spot on. Watched Bucks and World Series from my seat. Interesting art, although it's been there for a while. Might be good to refresh that.

Came here for dinner tonight with my son and friends. Waitresses were so rude. Both them and the owner were running into you with no apologies. They were not polite at all. I asked for a second drink and the bartender didn’t want to make it because they were busy. Never been denied a drink before. Worst service I have ever had. Just because you are busy, do not treat your customers poorly!

  • 5/5 Brayan B. 1 year ago on Google
The food here is amazing! Download the app and you get a free pizza and 2 drinks! The only downside is the service. Not bad service, but noticeably lacking, and can easily sour the experience, as has happened to us a few times. The food and the atmosphere is great though, so they get more chances.

This is a must visit if you're in downtown Waukesha looking for good food (especially pizza!). Great atmosphere, amazing staff, and the food never disappoints. I love (obviously) the pizza, wings, and the nachos. The owner Dan is a super nice guy who loves chatting with customers/friends. Would highly recommend!

My daughter and I ordered the gigantic chicken sandwich and it was everything but. So thin and dry :( disappointed on this Friday night. Sigh… so hungry

  • 4/5 Aarron Van B. 1 year ago on Google
It's a great place to get food, but the fact that the bar has a whole section where you can sit but can't see the TV is really a bummer. The dining room in the back is good, but a lack of TVs make it hard unless you get the perfect table. But all in all, this is one of the best places to go in downtown Waukesha. They have like 50+ taps or something like that (so now onder the bar is like that) and you'll be hard pressed to find a better pizza in Waukesha than here at Magellans.

I just had my 40th Birthday Party at Magellan's On Main St (group size was ~40 to 45 ppl). It was OUTSTANDING. Semi-private space, which is what I wanted. No rental fee! Heather, their event coordinator, was so fantastic to work with. They set out tablecloths, filled up my balloons with the helium tank in the basement at no fee, had a sound system with a mic for addressing the group, and let us pick whatever music we wanted (or said I could play any Playlists I already had). They said they could do wristbands, drink tix, hosted bar, hosted food... they were so accommodating. I could bring in dessert/cake as well. We had 2 dedicated servers for our group. Food was excellent. Pizzas (and the rest of the apps we ordered for the group) were so tasty. And the beer selection.... wow. If you can't find a beer you like from the 50+ on tap, you must not like beer. Bartender also made an incredible dirty martini. It was SO much fun and I would highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Magellan's! We hosted our staff holiday party there and they are excellent hosts. They truly roll out the red carpet! Heather and her team think of every little detail and go above and beyond to make sure the event is a success. From communication and planning to the day-of experience, everything was excellent and all the guests were raving about the place!
