The place is convenient if you are in the downtown Waukesha area. There is no overnight parking on the street so you have to park in a ramp 3 blocks away and they charge $3 every time you take your car out. No other option for parking. This place is more like an overpriced Airbnb. I had a room block here for my wedding so some of us checked in on Thursday. Check in was at 3pm but my stepmom requested to check in early — which was fine. But I didn’t plan on getting there till 3:30. There was no one at the front desk. I had to scramble - I didn’t know how to get into my room and I had to be at my rehearsal in 15 minutes. Turns out they email guests the code to the lock box with the directions — but they spelled my email wrong (and my last name wrong but both were wrong in different ways). So if I didn’t have her access code to the box I wouldn’t have gotten into my room that night. Then my MOH and her husband locked their keys in their room — which we realized at 8:50 PM. They called the number that was posted at the front desk for emergencies and they got the second degree. “What do you mean you locked your key in your room? What happened?” Um…the keys were locked in the room…A disgruntled, on call employee showed up 20 minutes later and let them in their room. Oh! And apparently I got the deluxe suite which meant that I had a jacuzzi tub so I think that means I got charged extra…except I didn’t know there was a jacuzzi tub till the next day because it was hidden in the shower. No one at the front desk was there to tell me about the amenities so how would I know unless I walked into the shower for no reason whatsoever. Check your rooms when you get in! Every single room is different and you never know what you’re going to find. And yes, I mentioned this while I checked out.

This hotel was recommended to me for my wedding. I was told it's really nice and staff is friendly. Well.... I have a different story. My room smelled like smoke/funky smell. TV in my room didn't work (apparently they knew about it but didn't say anything). I'm not the only room with a TV that didn't work either. they did comp me though. The handicap room is NOT accessible for wheelchairs. the shower has a ledge so you can't roll it into the shower. Also the toilet seat broke (hinges) and they couldn't fix it. No vending machines I'm concerned that there is no staff here overnight... Cards are magnetize--so you can't keep them with credit cards or by your phone. So good luck getting into the hotel let alone your room since I'm sure there's no staff there after the bar closes. Also, the bar closed an hour early because of no customers (which we were bringing in like 15 people an hour beforehand) Front door was broke so once the bar closes you have to enter through the back door. The a/c turned off during the night and it got to 81 degrees in my room. the ac is also very very loud. NO WiFi or phones to call down to front desk. The elevator does not go to the 3rd floor. you have to go to 2nd floor then walk up 3rd floor Also the 2nd floor is not one level. some room you have to walk down a few stairs to get to. Not a big deal for me, but something to be aware of. Staff was not friendly. RUDE. Didn't care and not knowledgeable. Oh and the deadbolt on my door didn't work.

Very nice place close to Milwaukee. Cute main street location with shops and things to do. The only negative is the parking situation. However, I understand why the parking ramp is needed. Overall, it was a great experience. The beds are very comfortable and large flat screen TV mounted on the wall where you can angle it where you want. This place is in a really cool old historical building on a cute historical main street.

My family and I used the banquet room recently at the Clarke Hotel for a Celebration of Life for our loved one. I wanted to share what an amazing event it turned out to be. Our dedicated server Teresa was absolutely wonderful. Working with Heather throughout the process of coordinating was very easy. The accommodations for the event were great. And some of our out-of-town guests booked rooms at the hotel as it was very convenient. We had looked for a reasonable and convenient place to host this event and in the end this ended up being the perfect spot. They can accommodate up to 80 people in this room I was told. Thank you so much! We will cherish the memory of this event.

I decided to stop in this hotel and check it out to rent a block of rooms for my daughter's wedding. There wasn't a front desk, but a sign that indicates to "check in" at the bar...I've never seen this before in my life. It's got the Irish flair and a nice location so we were excited. My family and I decided to have a seat and were thinking about asking the manager to show us a room and other details of the hotel. After a few minutes an employee came out of the bar and very abrasively asked us "if we were just going to be sitting there" and aggressively closed a door near where we were sitting as if we were "riff raff" - which apparently it was the office (looked like a storage closet). He then rudely turned around and walked away. We never got a chance to ask him about the hotel and after that experience I actually lost my interest and left. We will find a more friendly and suitable hotel for the wedding, and will give the substantial business we would have provided to an establishment that will treat our guests with respect.

Loved our stay, we'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Waukesha! Choosing a non-chain hotel can be a bit of a gamble but I'm glad we took a chance on the Clarke! Our room was clean, _very_ quiet and quite cozy! The location can't be beat with a variety of restaurants and shops literally less than a block away!

Excellent hotel! Room was spacious with great views of the downtown area. Staff was friendly, curious and accommodating. Only drawback is having to park 2 blocks away but the walk is full of shops and things to see and do.

This is going to be a difficult review to write. Honestly, an experience at an Irish Bar/Hotel on St Patrick's day may not be the best time to go and review a place. But then, if there is a day to pull out all the stops, this is the day. So, I guess we'll start the good. The Band was amazing. Really enjoyed them. A good choice by the Hotel. The Staff was doing really well at directing and managing crowds and were friendly enough. Their system was a bit like a cafeteria (more on that later). You lined up and ordered and got a tent and somebody brought you food. Ok, real simple, and not really a big deal. I ordered the $16 corned beef and $11 Reuben Rolls/Irish Egg Rolls. 27 Bucks might be rich on a normal day, but it's Saint Patrick Day, so I paid, added a tip (which seems silly given the Cafeteria-style). But I am open to new experiences! I sat down with my Tent. After a short time I noticed a busboy walking around with food in his hands. He passed the table with the clearly displayed tent number 3-4 times. I eventually waved him down. Maybe I tipped too much and too soon? Disappointment is not a strong enough word for what I received. This was a joke. An insult. I took pictures because I was shocked at the amounts provided. I get that supply chain problems and costs are going up but sweet lord. The potatoes were scooped, the peas and carrots tasted frozen. It felt like a cafeteria meal. I don't know how else to describe the experience except awful. Which is a shame, because ti's a really nice looking place and the staff was nice enough. Maybe I'll go back again. When I give a review this disappointing I like to assume it's a fluke. It's quite the drive for me though, so it may be some time.

Never been to a hotel that you can't park at. There is no parking allowed near hotel and you have to park two blocks away at a parking garage that you pay for. If I would have known any of this I definitely would have picked a different hotel. Cost of the rooms are too expensive for such a inconvenience.

["We had a funeral for my dad and needed a place for 20 people. They gave us the 3rd floor so we could all be together. My entire family loved the hotel and thought it was a perfect private place for us to gather. Extremely affordable and clean! Thank you to all at the Clarke Hotel",null,[0,286]]

The only hotel in or even near downtown Waukesha. Reception is on the second floor. If you don't check in between certain hours they will leave your hotel keys and information in the lock box just outside the entrance. Standard check in went smoothly. Only hassle is that there is no overnight parking on the street and you have to go to the public pay parking structure a couple of blocks away. I got the 2 bedroom suite. It sleeps 5-6 comfortably. The bathroom is amazing. Location could not be better for a stay in downtown Waukesha.

Room was excellent. The only downside was the lack of overnight parking. Public ramp was 3 to 4 blocks away used for overnight parking.

I went to the new restaurant at The Clarke Hotel. The food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. I would recommend if you are in the area and like Mexican food.

I really love this place and all of the history of this little town of Waukesha Home of Les Paul! Awesome little shopping district. Only gripe os the fridge didn't work, so my wine was warm and the tv.. the tv is about 20" and 20 feet away from the bed. I need binoculars lol but honestly, I'm not there to watch tv. And there was a cd player/ radio that didn't work. Would have been nice to have some music. Overall, it's a beautiful place to stay.

Will stay again. Daughter goes to college in Waukesha. And the 130$ suite was worth every penny. Minus the fact the windows were screwed closed and partially open. Had outside noise to prove it Can't wait to do the Irish Pub on Five Points on our return stay.

All good Could use bigger tvs and maybe valet parking since u have to park 4 blocks away and walk. Also desk closes at 4 pm week days 7pm weekend. That's kinda too early.

Our room was spotless and large. Our bathroom was roomy and the shower was wonderful. Our bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and the food is great. The complimentary breakfast is on the smaller side and there wasn't a phone in our room. But taking all things into consideration, I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We had a great time in the bar and they brought music in, both nights. They are located right on main street where there were plenty of shops to visit. My husband and I would go again in a heartbeat.

Loved our stay at the Clarke hotel. The room was very clean and spacious. The man who checked us in was very rude. We talked to a lady on the phone before booking the hotel room asking if we could do a late check out but when we checked in at the hotel he told us, “we don’t do that here”. Very unprofessional and made us feel very degraded.

Nice little Irish bar and boutique hotel. Kohler showers. The location in downtown waukesha adds to the ambiance.

I'm leaving another review because I enjoy this place so much. The barkeep checked me in immediately and was super friendly. My room was enormous, as was the bathroom. The general manager was also very friendly and outgoing. I love the pub. Waukesha has a cool little downtown with interesting shops.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect, the room was classy, and the price was reasonable. Only downside was we arrived on a Sunday and there was no staff to welcome us. They did a great job, though, of communicating how to get in the entrance and access our room. It just felt a little strange not seeing anyone at all until Monday morning. We will be back!
