Brazen Head Pub is located right in downtown West Bend and was in walking distance for me, so I thought I'd give them a try. I originally came in wanting a burger but since it was my first time there I asked what was the most popular and the waiter/bartender recommended the Guinness Battered Cod, so I gave that a try instead. I ended up getting disappointed. The cod had very little flavor and was actually overcooked, which made it chewy. The regular fries were nothing special, but the sour cream and chive fries were awesome. The overall atmosphere I really liked, had that small college bar feel. Overall, I was not impressed but would like to come back and try one of their burgers since that's what most reviews seem to mention.

Music was not as loud as we were hoping it would be. More romantic and family oriented dining than we expected. 5 stars, do recommend!

Favorite bar in town. I can't even eat or drink anymore and I still go here a couple times a week just for the awesome staff. Great service and great food!

We've never had a negative experience here! Service is great, people are happy to be taking care of you! Prices are good for these times, and the food.... Guinness fish fry! Burgers, wraps, sammies, all awesome! One of my favorite places to go!

Absolutely excellent service and delicious food. Bit pricey so 4 instead of 5 stars. 4 tap beers, 1 cheeseburger and chicken strips for 2-person lunch was almost $50. Beautiful back bar!

Good luck trying to get the attention of anybody working here lol. I could have gone to a farm, killed the chickens and cooked it faster than the time it took sitting at this place. Don’t waste your time unless you want to be at trashy some hole in the wall

It was the first time we went, and I'm shocked by how phenomenal the food and service were. The special was Thai salmon tacos, and they were OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. I highly recommend!

Cheeseburger in paradise, move over Jimmy Buffet. Man those are incredible burgers. I'm partial to the patty melt. Nice, clean, relaxed bar. Usually find the game on. Also some high top tables and 1 booth. In my top 3 local burgers. Must have! Real nice people too. Chefs were so friendly and you can see how clean the kitchen is. That's always reassuring.

Just an average little bar in West bend. Servers were very friendly. My friend had a reuben and he really liked it. I had a burger but it was overdone. The haystack onion rings were really good though.

Brazen Head Pub is like walking into that bar you feel at home. Straightforward food which is always super yummy. Great variety. Clean kitchen, owners are awesome people, staff are great too!

1st time there. Had a patty melt and fries. The melt was very good. Fries were over cooked and extra crunchy. Service was slow to non existent. It was mid afternoon so they probably were not staffed too well. I would try it again. Prices were comparable to the going rates.

Bartender was great and food was delicious. I got the daily special buffalo chicken tacos - so good. Burgers were some of the best we've had in a long time.

Awesome atmosphere and fantastic fish fry. The bartender was welcoming and smiley as she busted her butt to care for a very full bar. Would definitely return!

Met with some friends for a fish fry and picked Brazen Head. It was the right choice, the three of us had a great time. The cook came out to check on us as we were right by the kitchen and joked with us. Our waitress/bartender was fun and on top of everything, no drink got to empty before she was asking if wanted another or anything different. The fish was our main reason for going and it was excellent. Their Guinness battered cod was perfect. The outside was crisp not soggy like other places, and the taste set it above and beyond. Nice crispy fries and I tried the potato of the month which was scoops, seasoned thick cut fries more or less that were cut like scoops. I am looking forward to going back and once you try it you will too.

It was the worst Friday supper my husband and I had. we love the food but not that night my husband had Fish Fry and I had Ruben and my Ruben was on caraway bread and very very little suarkrut no thousand island and me my best place for a Ruben and here's the picture of the Fish Fry

Good music, clean, wish their beer tap selection rotated a bit more. All the craft beer places in West Bend are gone. This could be something Brazen Head could pick up. The world bring in a new crowd of people.

Small little pub. Went on a Friday night. Our food was absolutely delicious and hot. Friday night fish fry was some of the best I've had in Wisconsin. Good vibe. Nice bartenders. Don't expect traditional service at a restaurant, but their model works well for them.

Ordered a hamburger and ham/bacon grilled sandwich special. The hamburger was Dry and Full of Grissel, poor quality beef. Could not eat it. Sandwich was burned. French fries was cooked in bad oil. Last Fridsy we got a take home fish fry. Over done bad oil threw it out. In the past your steak sandwich was the best, but now it is like you are serving a cube steak. Your waitress asks too soon about how is the food before we could swallow. Makes it difficult to even explain what is good or not and embarrass the person who is buying the meal.

Don’t be afraid of the construction, there is plenty of parking in the back. Support this place!!! Food was excellent, service was excellent, just a delightful experience!! We ordered the sampler for a appetizer and got the mozzarella sticks, fried duck strips and Rueben rolls, and for the main we got the American burger, which they split on two plates!! Great place!

I don’t know what was better: The atmosphere, the drinks, the service, or the food! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Bartenders were Awsome. The food was not only fast to come out, but was the best fish fry I have ever had. The “fungus” shroom were to die for. 10/10 hidden gem for sure .

Introduced to this amazing place by a friend who is a local. Phenomenal fish fry on Firday nights. 400 miles from home but might be worth the round trip. I had the cornflake battered cod with the twisty fries. Super friendly staff. Great value. Worth the detour no matter where you are going.

Stopped in from out of town on a Friday night, staff got our order quick for even though they were almost full. Food came in no time, service was great, staff was super friendly and joking with the regulars. Would recommend to everyone. No smoke, family friendly if you're ok with other folks drinking. Oh, also they have a "fry of the month" this months was like a thick cut curly fry sort of thing... Super great, everything was perfect! Downtown road is closed, it's worth the walk.

My work regularly orders from Brazen Head for lunch, they're of our top choices. I have my family and friends hooked on the food now too. Crispy chicken salad is very good. Wraps, fish all good. Overall super friendly staff, good food, drinks, bar and they have a pinball machine..

If I could give this place ten stars I would. Both my husband and I absolutely loved the food. The staff was super nice and friendly. The bread that came with my grilled cheese was our and they substituted French bread. It was amazing.

Huge shout out to the kitchen manager of Brazen Head Pub! last night (5/20) a few of us did our own little pub crawl and seemed to hit bars right after their kitchen closed. The bartender (another shout out!) and kitchen manager overhead our dilemma and opened a bag of ruffles before we could say "George Webb." Very clever. As we were distracted by the delicious potato chips, he threw together turkey sandwiches that were absolutely wonderful. The ingenuity and willingness to go the extra mile was brilliant, and very much appreciated. The bartender was also very accommodating and made us feel like regulars (which we may very well be now!). Thanks so much.

My wife and I ate here one evening after hiking on the Ice Age Trail. There is construction around the building, which will definitely improve the area. The place is much more of a bar rather than a restaurant. Most of the patrons appeared to be locals. The bartender had to come around to take our orders (but was very friendly). I had the Brazen Melt, which was excellent (although the peppers could probably have been cooked a bit longer). My wife had the Baco Avocado wrap, which she thought was only average (not enough mayo). The building was also a bit cold. Overall, there really weren't a lot of Irish foods on the menu as it mostly seemed to focus on comfort food. Overall, this was good but not great.

Outstanding service outdone only by the awesome food. Great bartender that understands how to make a good cocktail, not an alcohol bomb. Duck strip are to die for. Stop in despite the road work, you will NOT regret it! Make sure you ask for extra sauces, they are AWESOME!

This place done did me in. I left with a smile on my face so big that even my Fiancé couldn’t bring me down (you know how women can be). Anyway the service was amazing. Our bartender the night November 3rd was the nicest guy I’ve ever met. He is the kind of guy you would want to bring to your family thanksgiving. I also love the vibe of an Irish pub. I WILL GO BACK AND SMILE AGAIN. 10 out of 10

Fantastic times!! Eric was our bartender and after too many drinks, he was very attentive and made sure all of our belongings were with us! He was also so patient while having too many drinks and made sure we were okay to get home safe, just a wonderful guy!! I will recommend 10/10

Updated review: Great location if you are in a small group, great selection of drinks and food. (Would be a rating of a 6, if we had a smaller group -- everything was top notch) If you are planning on visiting here to eat with a group of 5 or more for a meal it may be difficult (hence the rating of a 4). A cozy pub in downtown West Bend. The pub is long and narrow, with seating at the bar and a few tables along the wall. There is 1 large booth toward the back near the kitchen. The day we were there, the server at the bar was quick and friendly. The cook was very fast and really cared about giving us quality food. He was on top of his game. This is a great place with smaller groups but not ideal if you have a large party to eat. The food smelled and tasted great and portion size was large. They have a good selection of beers to choose from.

Went on a Sunday night when Eric was serving and bartending. He was very friendly and attentive. He took a minute to tell us how Brazenhead got its name. The bar was very clean. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Great food. I had a gourmet hamburger. Highly recommend.

Brazen Head's food was great! Really good cheese steak sandwich. No GF options, but I just ate it without a bun and it was sooo good. Super fresh onions, peppers and portobello mushrooms. Very tender meat. All sorts of great burgers and appetizers. Upbeat and friendly bar atmosphere.

Want a great burger?? This is the place to go!! You can have it your way with the build your own burger!! These are half pound burgers so bring your appetite!! They have a specialty fries of the month!! And they have a great selection of appetizers and drinks!! They have fish frys on fridays!! The quality is great and so is the price!! So when you want a real burger. Instead of McDonald's!! This is the place to come!!

This place a pretty good food and really good service. They always have a wide selection of tap beers and they make great cocktails! The only complaint I have is one time when I ordered burgers they cook forgot to put a bun on it. But I brought it back and they made up for the mistake. I will go back here again for sure!!!

Bouncer would not let me in with a real ID and refused to contact the police to confirm legitimacy. He acted extremely rude and was obviously on some sort of power trip. Would not recommend

Weakest drinks ever! Food was good. I had the blackened chicken salad and a cup of chili ( both - 2 thumbs up).... However, the drinks were quite disappointing. After we ate, we went elsewhere to drink!
