Second time back at Meigas, and it did not disappoint. We got the feed me menu and the dishes were SO filling. The ambience is warm and the ingredients taste very fresh. The unanimous favourite dish for the group was the chilli garlic prawns!

Found this gem when we decieded to try out Spanish food while we were at the town of Ballarat. I was caught by surprise with their level of customer service and food taste. We had chili prawn garlic, baguette with pork and calamari with rockets. If you can handle the heat, go for the chilli prawn garlic, they are sooo fresh and felt like fireworks in my mouth !!!

Loved Meigas. Wow! Incredibly delicious food, wonderful service. Each dish was perfect, the eggplant chips were very creative and crispy. Lamb kebabs cooked to perfection. The Hepburn Springs drink was lovely. Complimentary starters. The waitress even turned down the volume of the music as we were sitting right next to them. Such consideration and courtesy! Compliments to the team!

👍Yes, yes, 100 times, yes! Wow, what a fantastic foodie experience. The food was SO delicious, order "feed me" from their menu, you will NOT be disappointed, every course was just the right portion, and the dishes kept coming out tastier than the last! Definitely a place to go if you want to impress someone or many! Highly recommend and will be back with friends. Note they book out fast, best to book a table as early as you can.

Very friendly service. We had paella, lamb skewers and octopus with potatoes. Paella was probably the best I've ever had in Melbourne. Tapas in Spain was better but this was pretty good for Victoria...

Went here for lunch on a weekend recently. The staff are friendly and the food delicious. Eclectic decor & cute bar running the length of the room. Not cheap but well worth the expenditure. Recommend the chicken paella- heaven.

Oh my God! What a delight doing this Ballarat trip to sovereign hills and ending the evening with the most delicious Paella. The Spanish tapas place was full of people and vibrant. Very affordable for the quantity and quality tbh. Service was prompt as well. Only drawback is the waiter said bread was free and kept bringing more but ended up charging us extra $4 for the bread? Not sure why. Also this drunk lady from next table kept touching my fiancé and asking to speak with us which was a distraction. Didn’t enjoy the drunk ladies and their racist comments to us brown people asking if my partner is an Uber driver. Ofcourse not all brown men in melbourne are drivers and generally get stereotyped. This doesn’t reflect on the venue but the type of people it might attract during busy weekends. Hence 4 stars

very impressed with the service and the food tonight. Ordered “feed me” for three of us. That was plenty of food and every single dish was delicious. The lady who looked after our table was really spot on and professional (sorry forgot to ask her name) highly recommended and definitely coming back again

Fully enjoyable Spanish experience. First time here and tried the Feed Me menu and everything we had was delicious and finished off with 2 desserts. The garlic prawns are outstanding and must have.

Can’t fault it! We ate till our hearts were full. Lively atmosphere, amazing staff and service. We dined in for a late dinner and the staff was very accommodating. Food came out quick , even though most tables were full and it was Friday night. We took our host’s recommendation and tried the Chicken dish (from the Specials) which was good enough for two people, Calamari followed by Churros and a cup of Spanish hot chocolate. I would 10/10 recommend and visit again.

This was hands down the best Spanish food I’ve eaten in Australia. What an unexpected wonderful find on a day trip from Melbourne. We loved absolutely everything we ate. I am tempted to come back to Ballarat just to go there again and try more dishes on their menu. The atmosphere and service were equally great. It does not look like much on the outside - don’t let that deter you - you’d be missing out!

Was in the area and decided to try Meigas out, we were not disappointed! We did make a booking as according to other reviews, they can get quite busy. Staff were very nice and patient. Complimentary bread and olives were provided as a starter. The pork loin was slightly tough and dry, but the chorizos were really good. Potatoes we’re so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Great meal overall. 📷 Pan Con Tomate Y Jamon, Meat Special Platter (Lomo En Adobo, Chorizo Al Vino, Deepfried Broccolini), Patatas Bravas

A local favourite of mine that never fails!! The atmosphere here just reminds me of being overseas - upbeat, super comfortable and just good vibes with the music/atmosphere. The food is always sensational and the staff are always super friendly and accommodating (especially when it comes to allergies/preferences). We usually get the "Feed Me" option so that we get to taste lots of different items from their menu! No matter what, we always leave feeling super full and so satisfied! Don't wear tight pants if you're going to pick this option haha! Some of my favourite picks from their amazing menu include: their Sangria, Beef Cheek, twice Cooked Potatoes, Grilled Peppers and of course, their Churros with chocolate dipping sauce! 🤤 Highly recommend for a great night out with your loved ones. Book in advance! ❤️

We had such a nice evening at Meigas. We sat in the front window and had the best experience. We ordered a bottle of red which was amazing (wine of the week) recommended by our friendly and extremely knowledgeable waitress, who also helped us order all of our dishes. Our favourite dishes of the night were the Lamb skewers, chili garlic prawns and the broccolini. We even managed to find a few stocking stuffers from their little retail nook on the way out.

A delightful late lunch with the staff choosing our courses. The restaurant has a great vibe, the staff are brilliant, with superb service. Some of the items on the menu are available in the in-house deli. The decor is quirky and cheerful. Sangria by the glass, litre or 2 litres was just the ticket to pair with all the offerings. Definitely recommended - we will come back again.

Enjoy my dining experience. Service was fantastic the entire time. The staff were also able to assist with some local knowledge. Food was very good. Potatoes could have been a bit crispier, calamari was excellent. Must try the hot chocolate! I attended at lunch and there were 2-3 other small groups/couples and we were all put in the same section of the restaurant which was a bit odd and overcrowded when the other end was empty. Overall good value for money and an experience you will enjoy.

There are not many authentic Spanish restaurants, but this is one of the very few in Victoria. Food and drinks were amazing, so it was the customer service. It can be bit pricey, but it's worth it I will definitely go back next time that I am in Ballarat. Totally recommended!

Food was amazing and I would drive all the way from Melbourne just to eat here. All dishes were delish and I don’t think you could go wrong with whatever you choose

Snuck in unplanned for some churros (and a great espresso martini) and the staff were lovely and accommodating. Atmosphere and vibe is great and sitting there reminded us we need to book in again properly for dinner soon.

Went here for lunch 27th Aug - a spur of the moment drive up to Ballarat. And wow. This little gem in Ballarat was perfecto. Love the vibe, the hospitality and the food was just amazing. Could not fault a thing and a very enjoyable afternoon was had. Highly recommended.

Meigas is a great in Spanish restaurant in the middle of Ballarat town. I tried the Spanish Hot Chocolate which was super creamy and tasted great, it was just like molten chocolate. The mushroom on specials tasted brilliant and the eggplant crips were just right. I would stay away from Calamari, it was a bit too salty and sub par in taste. Overall a really nice restaurant and with great service.

Good Spanish restaurant, good food, tasty dishes, the portions are regular sized for a Spanish restaurant, also nice music and friendly staff Against, we went for a birthday and they didn't do any discount or special gifts like a small cake or free dessert. Also it's a little bit expensive. It's okay for go once
