A good 'ol town pub. Not trying to be something it's not. Locals stare at you when you enter and the food is basic but solid. Does what it does and does it well.

Extremely disappointing, we had a table of 16 for our Christmas luncheon and not one guest rated their meal more than passable. It's not like they didn't have plenty of notice with our booking so there was no excuse for them to go out and buy packet frozen fish and grate cabbage without dressing and call that salad. However the chips were great and the best part of the meal, all agreed.

Stopped for a meal, due to it being an animal welcome eating place. We were welcomed by management and staff and our order was taken very quickly. Although there were a minimum of patrons in the hotel, delivery of meals was a bit slow. The parmagana was very nice, however the t-bone steak was cold. Management offered a replacement, but as were small eaters, we declined. However a refund was given. Thank you. Till next time.

We booked The Royal Hotel based on their website and their on line menu. We had a booking for 6:30pm on a Thursday night. Once we got there the menu was complete different and the quality of food was poor it took over an our just to get our starter, then the mains came at odd times so everyone was not eating together. One meal had uncooked chicken. The waiter kindly replaced it but had to eat alone by the time it came out. I ordered dessert and a coffee. My dessert came but no coffee. Once my coffee came I was told "sorry for it being late but we had to wash the mugs". Very poor service and never to return

The new skateboard share platter at the Royal Hotel Bacchus Marsh was amazing. Every part was a hit. All staff were very friendly. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Stopped into the beer garden for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon because it’s dog friendly. The customer service was 100% We were greeted within 2 minutes with water for our dog and directions on where and how to order. During our visit 2 chefs also came out and met our dog and chatted to us and when the time came to order we were given recommendations from the friendly barman in a sling. Food was amazing and such good value for money! I think we’ve finally found our local pub!

The food was delicious. I had the porterhouse ($44) and it was worth every penny. The pepper sauce was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. My partner had the Parma ($28) and couldn’t stop talking about it on the way home. The young girl who served us was super cool and service was super friendly and relaxed. Really good at making us feel comfortable and looked after. After our meal we had a drink in the Beergarden, which was great on a warm night and looked very nice with the lights hanging. Overall the food experience was great, can’t wait to go back.

Want to say a huge thank you to David, Tracy and the team for making my birthday one to remember! They not only provided a beautiful space for my friends and family to celebrate in, they went above and beyond to contribute to a great vibe and atmosphere by providing excellent food, drinks, music, and top notch custom service and kindness! My family, friends and I were so impressed and will most definitely will be returning for future functions. I can't that you all enough for the great day! 10/10

Monday evening when whole of Bacchus Marsh is totally dead , there is one Venue which will put smile on your face and that is ' The Royal Hotel', as it is not only open on Monday evening but is one of the best ones in the town . Love the food,service and the atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great country pub. Food was generous and delicious, staff were friendly and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their food and the quiet ambience. There is also a beer garden. Great for get togethers with family and friends.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch of calamari, chips and salad. Chips were nice and crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Calamari was tender and delicious. Will definitely call past here again. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Was very accommodating, with our dietary meals. Was super impressed. Would go back again when in Victoria. Thank you for looking after me and my Dad

I had my 50th birthday party there on Sat 2 Sept and they were fantastic, food and service was absolutely spot on, and big mention to "Ben" our barman, an absolute gentleman who went above and beyond. Thank you for a fabulous night, recommend them highly for any function

Not fancy , basic pub. Clean, fresh amenities. We ordered chicken Parma x2 & pot of beer x2 for lunch. ($71). Possibly the best Parma I've ever eaten . Will Definitely eat there again. Cheers 🍻

Really loved this place. Four of us were there for lunch on a Friday. 2 of us had seniors meals and 2 of us had more expensive food and all the meals were beautiful food with great presentation. Recommended+++

We shared a steak and a side. Very cozy warm atmosphere Steak we give a 6 out of 10 . It was yummy and cooked correctly . No grizzly bits. Staff were attentive and lovely. We would come back to enjoy a meal here.

We really enjoyed our time at the country pub today, and the meals were of fantastic variety. Overall a great find.

The only good thing was the service. Chicken Caesar salad was like nothing I’d ever seen before……and I hope I never do again! If I were paying $10 for my meal I couldn’t really complain, but I expected a lot more than a bit of warm limp lettuce and 2 overcooked chicken tenders for $29!! Extremely disappointing ☹️

Had dinner at the Royal Hotel on a Sunday night a week or so ago with some friends and the family. So we had a few kids amongst us. Casper was fantastic and ensured we were well looked after. My youngest wanted Fanta and they don’t serve that however that didn’t stop him from going next door and buying her a bottle for the night. Top service and even better food. Kids meals were also great. Definitely going back with the family and our friends for some more amazing service.

I have eaten here before and the food has been pretty good but I don’t know if they have new chefs or not but last night the food was terrible. I had steak and mash potato the steak was cold the mashed potato was so thick and solid I nearly had to use a knife to cut it and it was grey in colour. My grandsons chips were cold and the nuggets were very hot so he burnt himself on them and wouldn’t eat them after that. I am so disappointed the manager once said to me he will take care of me while I was there because I found the other pubs no so good these days. Certainly not happy

Love this place, eat there at least twice a week. Had the satay chicken on the specials on Saturday and went back and had it again Sunday. It was delicious. Paul had the pork sliders both days and loved them. Oh, and the staff, service and Mel and Casper, all fantastic.

Amazing food! Great service! Came here spontaneously and so glad I did, will be coming back here. Great atmosphere 😀
