Shore access? You got it! The new stairway to the water is fantastic. Not much parking, but there is a Porto potty and some really great signage about the geology and animals in the area. A bit slippery on the shoreline, so be careful. It was an uncrowded and private visit. The view across Death's Door to Washington Island is marvelous. What a cool little park.

Very small park but you can get to the shoreline below by taking the stairs down. There is a big drop at the bottom of the stairs were maybe it eroded some. The water is very pristine and you can see different stones in the water. The kids loved trying to skip a few over the water. Very pretty little shoreline. It was definitely a great place to just stop and take a rest.

This was an unexpected delight. I had wanted to check out the Niagara Escarpment but wasn't sure where to go. We were just driving around and found this park. Definitely stop here!

Great views of Deaths Door. Take the steps down for a water level view. Stay off the wet rocks as they are very slippery.

What a delightful little gem. On a glorious Thursday late afternoon we were the only car in the lot. A dozen would be crowded. One can walk along the cobble-rock shoreline and look our to Washington Island. The interpretive signs are well done. It is similar to Cave Point park shoreline except the cliffs are higher.

What a neat little park. The signage is super informative of the social, ecological, geological history of Porte des Morts. Stairs are easy to climb up and down. Since it is winter, I didn’t go on the beach.

Really nice views from a small park at the tip of the door county peninsula. The park is small and pleasant, although some pranksters had tipped over the porta potty when I visited. So, the facilities need to be monitored a little better perhaps.
