Don't come here if you value your mental health. I was in the teen ward because of my severe depression and the nurses treated us so badly. They only care about making money, not helping the patients. Honestly, it was the other patients that helped me more than the nurses. Also, there are so many stupid rules in place that only hurt the patients more including the whole "no such" rule. Some people use physical contact as a comfort and it's the only way for them to feel better. There was also a time that a girl was having a panic attack and self harming right in front of the nurses and they did nothing until I got up and started o hug her and hold her arms so she couldn't do anything. Even then the only thing they did was tell me I cant touch her. One of the other patients had to deal with severe transphobia and invalidation from the nurses, who refused to use his chosen name and constantly told him was faking his tourrettes and PTSD. It's also stupid that you aren't allowed o exchange phone numbers or social media with the other patients, especially when your someone with a very limited amount of friends and cared a lot about the patients you befriended.

This place is terrible and doesn't actually care about you or what may be going on in your life. I witnessed a nurse in the evening shift tell a patient that they lost visitation rights because the patient talked back! They don't care about the person, they treat people like less than a person. I'm pretty sure they treat their own dogs better. My loved one tried to use the phone and couldn't get through, and when he asked for help, they ignored him, they refused to help. When a patient talks to them, they answer with patronizing answers and then mocks them with the other staff members with the patient standing there! I was also holding my husband's hand and the nurse snapped "you can't hold hands." Someone please tell me why i can't hold my husband's hand!! Please, dont send anyone there. I am working to get mine out.

My son was in for depression. Told he has bipolar 1 and psychosis. Put on 2 meds and had effects like falling over 3x with leg pain from a med. after he came home. Called impatient adult area and was told that he was probably lying, Respiradone doesn’t cause that. He took it a week. We took him to St. Joseph’s in St. Charles and he had a severe case of involuntary muscle contractions/Dystonia/EPS. Called back to tell them and not 1 “We hope that he feels better.” No “we’re sorry that happened….” Ignorant nurses there. Go to ANY other place for mental help.

Unprofessional doctors and staff that won't talk to parents. Disorganized team and lack of records. One lady on the phone sounded like a tramp from a Jerry Springer Episode. My child is in danger there. They'd all benefit from being locked in their own rubber room for a year or two.

Visiting hours are daily for only 30 minutes (OMG #unfair practice not enough time!) which is a very short amount of time. They staff is very caring but it's a very difficult place to get in or get out of (Nurse made my father lock up his wallet even through there was no metal or anything that needed to be locked up. My ring went somehow missing from a locked container). I believe they do good treatment but there hours are only 4-7 for visiting. I have been to 2 other facilities like SSM Wentzville for my loved one they allowed you to visit for more than 3 hours 5-9 and no only 30 min (*BS). They do offer treatments which are not offered at other locations.

This place illegally held my boyfriend, they twisted his words up and than kicked me out of his room for no reason. Staff were super rude and abusive to my boyfriend today, they held him down and forced medical shots on him he said no to , they claim he was out of control when he wasn’t. They got mad when asked to see the paper work, refused to provide names, and was abusive to me and my boyfriend both. Do not put anyone here you care about it is a joke of a place , they lie in order to hospitalize you …. Abuse line has been contacted.

I would have given five stars had the billing/payment process been better. I visited the Behavioral Health urgent care and during check in I found out they do not accept my insurance. I asked the receptionist what the cost would be and she responded "no charge" which surprised me but I didn't ask further questions. A week later I got a bill in the mail from SSM Health for $124.74 (discounted price if paid before due date), which I was happy to pay but felt the receptionist misrepresented the billing process. Instead of saying no charge, she should have said you will received a bill in the mail in a week or two. And if possible, given a ballpark range of the cost. Two and a half weeks after my visit I receive a second bill from Lifetime Psychiatry LLC for $150. So it was $124.74 to sit in the room and an additional $150 to talk to the intake nurse and an APN to get a prescription. The nurse and APN were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. but now I feel mislead about the billing process which is irritating to say the least and colors my experience there negatively. I'm mostly frustrated for others who may not be in as secure of a financial situation to receive the same two bills. You would think that since they are working with patients with mental health issues, this would be clearly addressed before admittance and treatment.

This was some time ago I remember having to wait all night because of the time we were there. She was treated well and ended up being transferred to another hospital.

Poor staffing.... Very inconsistent... Staffing will tell you that somebody ain't there and they actually are then they will proceed to say they don't have a unit 1000 this and that there's only one staff at this hospital her name is Bridget and she does go above and beyond that's the only reason I have given this place a four star because of her help and because of the fact that she is understanding she don't ever have no attitude she's very sweet so because of her this place has received 4 stars.

Daughter had been treated there several times since highschool. She is bipolar and schizophrenic. Most times I'm unable to rationalize with her. On December 9th she was taken by ambulance to the emergency room. Hours later she was discharged and told if she waited for a ride or any other assistance she would be trespassing. She was cussed out by the head nurse on duty and the police made her leave from outside and stand near parking lot

Predatory behavioral health hospitals like this one, make me have feelings of deep remorse for ever serving in the armed forces since these hospitals were used to abuse and terroize myself and others under the guise of "safety and health". All for what. $3500 dollar ransom to my insurance company?. You guys are pathetic. Your pyschatrist is a sad excuse for a "medical docter" and yall are stonewalling greivances ans amendments. F U and all the pyschiatriats and staff that play apart in this organized and "legal" hostage taking practice where ordinary people are your expirements.

They are the worst...will write untruths in the medical records, are biased in their referrals (referring younger people to facilities known for superior services and older people to inferior facilities that are booked months out on appointments), and will not respond to the Pharmacist nor will they refill the prescription as you patiently wait months to be seen by a physician at the facility to which you were referred.
