šŸ˜  Apartment management is the worst ever!!! They will try to overcharge you if you are not paying attention. They sent me a renewal notice that wouldā€™ve increased my rent $150+. When I emailed them about it, i received no response until I reached out to their corporate officers to let them know about... People often mention building,

Apartment management is the worst ever!!! They will try to overcharge you if you are not paying attention. They sent me a renewal notice that wouldā€™ve increased my rent $150+. When I emailed them about it, i received no response until I reached out to their corporate officers to let them know about the lack of communication. I was told it was a ā€œtypoā€. However, if I had not caught this typo and followed up multiple times for clarification, thatā€™s an extra $1800 they wouldā€™ve pocketed with no regard. Furthermore, they will illegally charge you for renterā€™s insurance even if you already have it. They had proof of my insurance since I moved in, yet began charging me for their coverage . I went to the office to ask about it. I worked with a very nice community assistant and considering how small the office is, I heard her as she asked the manager on steps to take. I was advised to call the insurance company. The community assistant and I are working together and I get in touch with the insurance company. As we are about to start talking about the resolution, the property manager comes out of her office and immediately tries to shut the conversation down. She didnā€™t come out to help (although she clearly heard the conversation), but had the gall to try to interfere when weā€™re almost at the resolution. She hovered over us yelling and pointing in my face. Then, she tried to snatch my phone from the community assistant and proceeds to call the police on me!!! Her behavior was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and UNCOUTH. She needs to be removed immediately for her foul behavior!!! What type of property manager looks to hurt their tenants rather than help them?! Nicole! Thatā€™s the type.

PSA: Do not live here. I canā€™t believe they try to advertise themselves as luxury apartments since the ā€œamenitiesā€ are laughable and the apartment building lacks basic necessities such as working A/C, clean shared spaces, and a garage door that can open and close. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to view the building in person prior to moving in since we relocated during the pandemic and had to do the virtual tour. Some of the horrors we experienced while living here include: one of the sewage pipes burst in the stairwell and smelled like human feces, mice, piles of trash hanging out in the hallway, and we also had a water pipe burst and flood several areas of the building. They will upcharge you at every opportunity (as we were leaving they started forcing tenants to pay for utilities through Conservice, which somehow increased our monthly electricity bill, instead of paying our directly through Ameren). We couldnā€™t wait to leave but didnā€™t have the money to break our rental agreement and didnā€™t want to ask someone to sublet our place and have to deal with such poor living conditions. You can tell a lot of these 5 star reviews have been ā€œincentivizedā€ in some way and are not from people who have actually lived in the building.

Horrible horrible experience. Absolutely nobody in the housing staff is competent or helpful at all. Terrible at communication and so stubborn and unwilling. Itā€™s a bunch of kids doing what their boss says through an email. I tested positive for Covid the day before my move out and although I reached out relentlessly, leaving voicemails and sending emails, nobody every got back to me. I eventually spoke with Christina who assured me she would note my file and prevent any eviction from being processed - but that was a lie. I receive a text this morning that an eviction was processed and to call the office for more info as instructed but they were closed. I have called with so many questions and issues but they never ever ever get back unless I call 60 times and force someone to talk to me.

I lived at this apartment complex for 2 years and I have and will continue to tell anyone to STAY AWAY. My reasons are: 1) The building is in poor shape. Do not believe the pictures online. The hallways are stained with holes in the walls. The trash chutes are overflowing to the point where you canā€™t even close the door to the trash room causing the odor to seep into the hallways. Water also leaks from the ceiling. 2) Your water pressure is low if you live in certain areas of the building. When asked if this can be fixed, management will tell you ā€œunfortunately the City of St. Louis controls our water pressureā€. Your walls in your apartment will be paper thin as well. 3) The amenitiesā€¦gym equipment, specifically the lat pull-down machine and treadmills have been broken for over a year. There is no sense of urgency to fix them either. The grass in the courtyard is unrecognizable due to the growth of weeds. 4) It has been well over the 30 day grace period to refund my security deposit and yet I still do not have it. Even though it is the law in Missouri, Greystar and this apartment complex has no desire to fix their mistake and will not respond to my emails. There is a reason Greystarā€™s headquarters has a 1 star review on Google. Rent at your own risk, but if I were you I would highly recommend to look elsewhere.

Bad rude management , I inquired about a 1 bdr unit for my Duaghter , talked to this Joey ( assistant manager ) , he was rude , unhelpful , like he doesnā€™t give a crab about the business . I donā€™t recommend this apartments to no one as I read too many bad reviews in 2021/2022 and 2023 .

I ended up not living in the downtown St. Louis area after all due to work, but I had a fantastic experience with the staff here. Joey was especially helpful and answered my many questions in a prompt manner. In the event I find myself back in the area, I will be absolutely be reaching out to the staff of 3949 again!

Nice. These are very nice apartments. And there are convenient places to shop. And there are places to eat.
