I
love
this
place!
Not
long
after
I
moved
back
to
St
Louis
I
took
a
beloved
"art
clock"
to
South
County
Coin
&
Jewelry
to
be
repaired
because
it
had
been
damaged
in
the
move.
I
also
took
in
a
few
other
items
that
needed
resizing,
or
a
repair,
or
a
watch
battery,
etc.
I
quickly
learned
that
Dave
Jalil
and
Kelly
Scott,
the
proprietors,
are
incredibly
knowledgeable
about
all
different
eras
of
jewelry,
as
well
as,
extremely
knowledgeable
about
gemstones,
and
while
they
obviously
have
a
tremendous
appreciation
for
the
antique
there
are
some
absolutely
stunning
contemporary
pieces
available
for
sale
there!
But
I
digress,
LOL!
My
beloved
clock
was
repaired
and
four
years
later
it's
still
running,
and
everything
else
I
had
asked
Dave
to
do
that
time
was
done
beautifully
and
expertly.
Since
then
we
have
done
business
in
various
forms,
I
have
sold
him
gold,
he
has
sold
me
some
fabulous
jewelry,
and
he
has
done
a
number
of
repairs
or
modifications
for
me.
A
visit
to
the
store
just
to
look
around
is
absolutely
worth
your
time!
The
space
seems
small
at
first,
but
don't
be
fooled,
look
closely
because
there
are
treasures
everywhere!
And
definitely
do
NOT
skip
the
charming,
old-fashioned
electric
revolving
display
cases
because
there
are
some
amazing
treasures
hidden
in
them!
In
one
spin,
of
just
one
revolving
case,
I
found
(and
purchased)
an
amazing
antique
citrine
ring
(don't
know
if
it's
an
official
"antique"
but
it's
old.)
An
antique
lavalier
with
a
spectacular
solitaire
diamond,
and
lastly
I
snapped
up
a
gorgeous
heavy
silver
&
garnet
ring
that
was
so
inexpensive
it
would
have
been
ridiculous
not
to
buy
it
even
if
it
had
not
been
so
cool!
I
couldn't
afford
to
pay
for
it
all
that
day
but
then
I
learned
they
offer
layaway!
Did
I
mention
I
love
this
place?!
;-)
