Me and a friend stayed at the hotel overnight, the room was clean and spacious, shower was big enough for the 2 of us at the same time, comfortable bed we had a good night. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was great, had breakfast in the morning and it was a good selection of food, both hot and cold. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone, and I would stay again

The gym and swimming pool was okay but my hotel visit was not good. The breakfast is by far the worst I have ever experienced and seemed to get even worse each day. A bit of scrambled egg, fatty streaky bacon and weird tasting tomatoes, not much choice, no fruit and the toaster broke, and they didn't put out any bread after that. The room I stayed in had air con but only a few do. The bed was okay not the most comfortable. The bathroom had a rotten floor. The bedding wasn’t changed the whole week I was there; it is a hot time of the year. The hotel staff hardly spoke and was not very accommodating or friendly, you go for breakfast, and they don’t even say good morning. The room was not well sound proofed either, sounded like an elephant was Irish dancing above me. If you are staying here for work or pleasure I would not recommend it.

This hotel needs one main change: Soft closing doors to each room - we had continuous noise disturbance throughout the night and left feeling tired the next day. Flooring in bathroom was coming apart. Toilet seat not aligned to the loo. Generally very grubby throughout the public areas in the hotel, and the pool/changing areas needed a deep clean. Good pub/grill area and decent breakfast selection.

I went to meet a friend here. Parking was easy. Free up to 4 hours. Nice bar and massive football screen!!!! Starbucks inside. Very buzzy place and many meeting rooms to rent out.

Me and my friends went for a Sunday diner. Its been many years since my last visit. The standards have dropped significantly. We booked our table but the person behind the bar was too busy to seat us. So we just sat at a table suitable for our group. We went to the bar and ordered our food. It must of been the person at the bars first shift. They didn't know anything, they must of gone to the kitchen 5 times to check about a vegetarian diner. Because we all paid separately the meals didn't come out together. By the time I ordered my friend had there meal. But the rest of us had to wait for ours. When I got my meal it was nice, and the bar itself is nice with lots of TV's to watch sport. The village needs to support there staff, leaving someone inexperienced on there own isn't great for business.

Rooms are decent depeing on which ones you get given. Nathan on the front desk is really helpful, nice lad. The food is hit and miss depending on what you order! Service is very slow but staff are friendly and apologetic. Got the Katsu Chicken Curry for £16.50 and got 2 chicken tenders cut up on pack of uncle Ben's rice, I would have been embarrassed to bring it out.

Food is ok; although they never have any ribs in stock, might as well remove it from menu. The rooms are OK. The location is ok; with a tesco, kfc, mcdonalds and fast EV charger nearby. But other than that. Nothing iconic. The service is ok. My issues are they have all these TVs for "sports" and sky sports, but they have the same game kn every TV or just two games. As opposed to having the volume direct from the TV at each location. You either get generic music or one volume from one game. Which is frustrating. It definitely should not advertise as a sports bar. None of the staff know how to sort out the volume. There are 4 TVs around the bar and TV giant TVs in different zones. So they could have the giant TVs set to two different games with their own volume. The TVs around the bar set to whatever but silent and the bar with its own music. However the managers all appear to be female with no interest in sport. And when you ask for the volume the staff just can't be bothered. I feel this is a problem the management should address. In short it's good for food and accommodation. The drink is obviously cheaper next door in tesco. But if your looking for a lively bar or a sports bar, go elsewhere. There is none of that atmosphere here. From what I hear the locals go elsewhere. Could be better. Just think the management aren't interested. Hence the review. I bet they pay more attention to this review than the multiple times I have seen people ask for the volume for whatever game they are watching to be turned up/on. All they need to do is isolate the audio and TV to the two giant tvs. Play thr 2 main games on. They would instantly increase sales. As for the other tvs and bar audio. They can play whatever.

Great accommodation at the Village Hotel. Couldn't fault anything at all. Comfortable rooms with all amenities that you would need. Fabulous shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be back for sure 😊

Can never go wrong with Village hotel, especially in Dudley. Great value for the money. The rooms are modern with large TV (including sports channels). Always clean. Great restaurant/bar area with large screens. Starbucks inside the hotel also. Gym and swimming facilities top notch. Plenty of parking spaces available. Definitely recommend and will stay again next time I am in the area!

I have been stopping at this hotel for the last 5 years and thoroughly enjoy it. Lively atmosphere, good leisure facilities and pleasant staff. I’d like to give a special mention to Nathan in reception. During my recent years stay, he has gone out of his way to be helpful, polite, friendly and accommodating. He is fantastic at what he does and the hotel honestly speaking, are lucky to have him as one of their own. A stand lout member of the Village Dudley team!

Bog standard hotel with large sports bar serving usual chain drinks and food. It has gym and pool and plenty of parking, which is free on a Saturday. Was there for a wedding where they tried to squeeze 100 people into a room that was not big enough which left no room between the tables for easy movement of the guests requiring attribution accessibility space. It also left 5-10 guests standing at the back of the room because there was not enough seats/tables (8 tables of 10 + 6 on top table doors not equal 100). The ventilation in the room was also not sufficient for the numbers either. Buffet food was horrendous with soggy sausage rolls and chips, basic sandwiches and nibbles and not much else. A fair few of the guests ended up in bar for a more substantial meal and some air. To make matters worse their payment system went down at various points in the night so it was cash only during these parts. Who has cash these days? Staff seemed unprepared for the evening to a point where when asked what the nibbles were, that they were walking around with. When asked, they responded with "Don't know what these are, we don't get told". Let's hope there were no vegetarians, vegans or persons with allergies. Typical large hotel chain tapping into wedding market without any interest in making sure the day goes smoothly... Definitely one to avoid for such occasions.

Overall a good stay. I would recommend it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was a good size, just a little cold. The family changing rooms were decent. Note, you need a padlock for the lockers. The room was okay - the sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable, but for 1 night was okay. The restaurant was quite impressive - large with good seating and TV's for watching sport (football was on) and it wasn't very busy when we were there. The waitress was very good with our order - making sure our order was correct. The food was a decent size portion and good quality - but it was expensive (all hotels are), we spent almost £100 for 4 of us. There are restaurants nearby (Nando's, Franky and Benny's. etc.). The car park was large and not even half full.

Attended for a meeting from work. A few of the toilets were blocked with toilet paper. Food was tasty and there were plenty of drinks available. Room was clean and spacious

Great location. Beautiful spacious room with king sized bed. Staff were excellent and really helpful. Bar, restaurant and room reasonably priced. Will definitely use again.

This hotel is absolutely terrible. I travelled from Canada for a family wedding. Most of the brides family was staying at this hotel for approx 3 days. I was very disappointed in the front desk service, the quality of the room was extremely poor and run down, towels were old and the bedsheets had stains on them, electric sockets were no where near a mirror, walls are paper thin, the elevators were not accessible - the elevator had been broken for weeks, we were never told of this issue in advanced - my senior family and small children had to struggle down the stairs daily. Not to mention the staff were not accommodating. In the middle of the night there was a fight on our floor which involved violence. I did not have a phone in the room to contact front desk to let them know what was happening. We were left praying someone in one of the other rooms would call the front desk or police. My family was woken up by the noise, night staff attended to hours later and nothing was resolved. The night staff were rude and minimize the situation. My small child was up most of the night. Hotel staff did not allow for a late check out - I had asked for an hour tops and we were told no. Beware of this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Unable to comment on rooms as did not stay . However other villages have offered good rooms . Often doing some good packages worth joining on line . Good venue and well staffed at the wedding we went to . Everything ran smoothly. Drinks are pricey, but you expect that at this venue . On a hot evening the rooms where not uncomfortable and doors were left open for circulation . Would recommend

Stayed here a lot due to work. Van got broken into and tools stolen while it was here one night and another night two youths tried to climb into my window at 1AM while shining a torch in my face, obviously looking for stuff to pinch. Both of these happened while the apparent security officer was on duty but no where to be seen. I informed the staff on both occasions to be told ‘sorry it happens all the time’.

Had a great stay here with my partner great rooms, service, and lovely comfy bed. Also had a lovely breakfast next morning. Really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. Only one thing the lift wasn't working so had to lug our bags up to our room. So please get the lift fixed ASAP. Thank you.

I have visited this establishment several times, each time the staff have been the star of the show. They are attentive, professional and incredibly welcoming. The facilities are 1st rate. Dudley is not the most beautiful of towns in the UK but the hotel is set in a very picturesque location with a view of the castle. Highly recommend.

Attended a wedding fayre here, car park was a little confusing but found it it’s 4 hours free parking, you enter the hotel with Starbucks on your right and the smell was lush, very inviting. The staff were friendly and for the wedding fayre it was so lovely, spoke to lots of lovely people who had stalls up and made everyone feel included with the bride to be getting so lovely freebies and info packages to take away. The gym and pool looks so fab, sadly can’t review it has never been but looks so wonderful.

Stayed here overnight after attending office Christmas party. Staff is very cooperative, they did last minute adjustments for me to accommodate my kids. Room was quiet spacious ,clean, warm and cosy. Nice, clean bathroom. Only thing that no exhaust fan in bathroom which makes it difficult (for me at least) to use bathroom after someone especially when there are no windows either. We had a good night sleep and also enjoyed the breakfast next morning.

It's a Village Hotel, same as all the rest. Nice, but expensive for what it is. Lovely big pool and wee kept leisure facilities. Rubbish menu if you want to dine in. Breakfast was not the best, but was adequate. Would have given only 3 stars but the staff were excellent and really went out of their way to help. The 4th star is for them.

We had booked into the old glasshouse for dinner only to find it had gone bust and not informed us. We rang round loads of places and the village said that even though they had a wedding on, all 15 of us were welcome to come down to the bar/grill. Great response by all the staff and chef to accommodate us at short notice, 6.00pm on a Saturday. Thankyou

The Village hotel seems very busy at all times . The car park can get quite busy at times with free parking for upto three hours. I have only used the Starbucks coffee shop and the toilets though. The coffee is the usual Starbucks taste and quality , the prices are higher in these franchises and you cannot use your reward card . Plenty of seating if you use the hotel lobby too. Easy access for all.

Went to the village tonight with my cousin to have a meal and watch ladies England game ! Ordered food, both had fish a chips !! It was the best fish and chips I've had in years !! Compliments to the chef. I was just annoyed about the surroundings ! Children running about in their pajamas, reception staff looked scruffy wearing trainers and also other staff wearing trainers, this really isn't a good look. Glass on doors were filthy. I except that they get dirty but I was there for 3 hours and someone should be sorting them out every couple of hours. The meal we had wasn't cheap so I would expect everything to be clean and professional. I will look forward to your reply . Thank you

Mike is a top man and sure is a credit to the company, yesterday I tried to cancel my gym membership due to other commitments and the lady wasn’t very helpful at all… I then spoke to Mike today (manager) who was so positive and polite he was eager to get the query sorted! Because of this experience with Mike I will definitely sign back up to this gym in future! :) Mike you are well and truly the best! :)

Party night event was great - room was liad out well, food was great and disco was a real throw back. However communication with all guests wasn't great - Party leader had a phone call, but I would have preferred an email with timings etc to me to check my details. Didn't stay over, so can't comment on rooms, but for a get together with friends it was a fabulous night, well worth the money.
