I turned up to my appointment on time, then had to wait over half an hour. I was then half way through a procedure, and the nurse assisting my (excellent) consultant asked him how long he would be, literally whilst he has a knife in me! and I am awake! I ignored it as it was quiet unbelievable, but 2 minutes later, she asked again! All whilst I am bleeding fresh blood and the knife is still in me? All whilst I am paying the equivalent of Β£1000/hour. I asked the surgeon to take his time, and he said he would, but cant help but feel the results have been affected. For Gods sake, who do these support staff think they are.. shareholders? Something is not right about this hospital. If you have left a 5 star review, then consider yourself lucky, as there are plenty of 1 star reviews too. Little Aston bit of a lottery.

Hi, I just felt so compelled to leave a positive review in regard to an MRI scan and stress test that I had on 21st October 2022, I felt safe and secure at all times thanks to both nurses Kirsty & Joanne. More importantly I was kept updated every step of the way even when the doctor joined it was not information overload but a gentle introduction. I know this is day to day for this department but for the patient it can be nerve wracking or an apprehensive occasion at the very least. I have always had great feedback in my line of work, but I have to respond in kind and say both nurses and the Doctor made me more comfortable than I could ever have imagined. Would I recommend Spire in the future? most definitely. Based on my experiences so far it has been such an easy journey and hopefully with a fully recovered result in the waiting. A special thank you to the reception team on the MRI/CT department and nurses Joanne & Kirsty.

Horrendous experience, after years of pain with my lower back and getting no where with the NHS I caved and decided to go private hoping I would finally get answers. I booked an appointment with Mr Hassan who was half an hour over his appointment time, only spent 10 minutes with me, didn't care, didn't take me seriously, was extremely rude and overall very unhelpful basically advising me to stick with the NHS. Definitely won't be using this service in a hurry, I'd rather see a vet!

In January 2020, I visited Dr Mark Gillett, sports medicine physician. He was highly regarded apparently, and as a self-payer, I can attest his services were not cheap. At first, he diagnosed me with an inguinal hernia. During the initial physical examination, he was rough and forceful, placing huge pressure in the front of my hips while making me do sit-ups. This worsened the pain at the time and in-fact, I was bed-bound for over a week afterwards - and my hip never really recovered from it. It was much worse after than before his visit. Not long after, I was correctly diagnosed with a labral tear with FAI. The pain he provoked in me was probably the the worsening of a torn labrum due to the severe examination he made me undertake - and it turns out there was no inguinal hernia. I suspect he physically provoked the acceleration of the symptoms of my labral tear: my belief is he essentially made me feel worse. He is the worst doctor I have seen to date and I have seen a few in my time. If I had a solid evidence base and I was more conscientious at the time, I would taken legal action. Sadly I do not think I have enough in the way of clear proof. However, I do have my own experience and I am sharing it here.

I had the most wonderful experience with the staff and medical practitioners at the Little Aston Hospital. I arrived to them after having a particularly difficult morning, the reception staff and colleagues were unbelievably generous with their time and resources, ensuring that I was comfortable and taken care of. During an extensive medical examination, every practitioner that I encountered was friendly, thorough, professional and knowledgeable across all aspects of their practice whilst being incredibly approachable - making me feel comfortable and at ease. I cannot thank you enough or recommend you more highly!

Adding to the 1 Star reviews! DO NOT TRUST THE ADMINISTRATION that runs this hospital. I provided all details in respect of my insurance in order to fund my treatment at the very start but I was still asked to provide a debit card for 'security purposes'. At the end of the month I was then horrified to see that the hospital had taken over Β£600 out of my account without any prior warning or notification this would happen. It has taken 5 separate attempts on behalf and 3 from my insurers to finally make contact. The phone would simply ring out, messages were left with other departments but no response was ever given.... Finally my insurers made contact and have now organised to settle the bill, however Spire Healthcare are still refusing to refund me until all their paperwork has been processed, which could still be another couple of weeks, despite receiving a direct call from my insurers telling them the claim was open and would be paid in full by them. Going private is supposed to take all this stress away from you. Well apparently not if you choose to see your Consultant at the Spire, Little Aston. See your consultant somewhere else - you've been warned!!!

Previous had a hip replacement at this hospital and the care that I have received is nothing short of a disgrace, I had a full replacement using the mako robots. I was told the operation went well after waking up from surgery. Then returned to the hospital eight weeks later to then be told that I have a 5 cm steel rod fused into my pelvis and then had another scan several weeks later to then be told that this rod is sitting outside my pelvis and sticking into my muscle. The surgeons have tried to persuade me to leave it in as they believe the pain I was getting is a result of my recovery from the hip replacement i am now nine months in and am still suffering with the same pain and discomfort and now they have told me to seek help elsewhere, and to search for a specialist myself. I am fully aware that people make mistakes, but how you deal with these mistakes and how you look after people after should be a standard procedure but they have not looked after me since this happened. I would be very cautious in using his hospital for any surgery.

Absolutely shocking.. my dad went in for a knee operation.. it seems its like a hotel here, once your planned stay is done your out! Sent my dad home with a bag of morphine and a catheter still in with no follow up... just a speak to your gp and get on a waiting list for the eurologist! Less than 24 hours later ambulance had to be called. Paramedics described it as a shocking and failed discharge.. they should he ashamed of themselves

During the last few years this hospital has nose dived from patient-focused excellence to shabby, uncaring shambles. Endless waiting, staff standing around chatting and laughing, patients struggling. Spire Parkway it is not.

Cannot fault this hospital. After shopping around various private hospitals around the country I chose this establishment to carry out my medical work. I saw Dr Preeti Jain and Dr Ajit Walnut for an invasive procedure. Their bedside manner was great. They made the whole patient journey from start of finish so amazing considering how nervous and anxious I was. The nurses Shadrack, Emma, Tracey and many more worked tediously tending to all the patients day and night. They are all assets to this establishment. I cannot fault them. Even the catering staff were so pleasant. The whole team worked endlessly to ensure that I was looked after properly. I cannot thank you enough. 21.01.2023 2nd review I attended in October for a hysterectomy and left positive feedback then. Again I cannot praise the doctors, staff and establishment enough. I contacted yesterday with a niggling pain. The nurses contacted me straight away and managed to get me in today with the doctor. Such a welcoming reception from Dr Jain who examined me and reassured me there were no issues. She has always made me from start to finish feel at ease. Her bedside manner is so empathetic and considering what a stressful profession this is she always has a smile on her face. Just wanted to say thank you to Dr Jain and all the staff at Little Aston. Keep up the good work

My daughter was admitted last week for a surgical procedure and l was thoroughly delighted with the treatment she received from the front door to being discharged. She was treated with total professionalism and kindness and her every need was met, thank you for doing such a wonderful job often under difficult circumstances. one relieved mum.

Spent two hours waiting for a procedure - only to be told it had been cancelled due to equipment being 'out of order'. Plus the nurses do not seem to have the concept that when you ring the assistance bell, it needs to be answered!

The consultants are attentive and truly at the top of their profession. The physiotherapists are kind, knowledgeable and go out of their way for every patient. I have attended this hospital many times for numerous concerns and can not fault it at all. I will continue to attend.

Had bunion surgery in May 2018. Knew something was not right from day one as I compared my progress to similar operation on other foot in May 2013 at NHS facility. Asked to be referred back as not happy with progress and informed surgery had not worked as well as expected and would potentially need another operation! Extremely disappointed with aftercare did not even get xray to get on progress. Majority of staff on day of operation were unhelpful and offish would seem to be an issue with staff morale. Catering was appalling cheapest nastiest bread and cheese ever tasted. Had yo ask for cup of tea. Visits to physio critical judgemental and unhelpful. Referred myself to work physio and Good Hope who were much better. Well over hour to get stitches out as not taken out properly the first time. Overall would not recommend this hospital. I am of the opinion surgeon cut corners as he informed me that he would not undertake the same surgery I had on my first foot putting metal pins in to correct bones. First foot took same amount of time to heal and 5 years later no issues. Would recommend NHS facility anyway over this place. Update: informed surgery did not go as well as expected. Soft tissue not healing properly. Foot worse than before I had the op. Extremely disappointed I am of the opinion surgery was rushed and I shod of had the metal pins inserted to ensure bones aligned properly.

As an anxious person I cannot praise Spire Little Aston enough for my treatment. I had my initial consultation with Dr Alastair Brookes back in June 2021 for my Hernia and he was wonderful, kind, patient, put me at ease and I felt very positive. Fast forward 4 months and my Hernia repair was carried out in October (day case) and it couldn't have gone better. From the moment I arrived all Staff/Nurses put me at ease, completely looked after me and made the whole process relatively easy for me and as someone who hadn't had an Op since my childhood I was naturally quite apprehensive.but my worries quickly evaporated. I arrived at 12.30 lunch time and back home by 7.30 later that night. Yes there was discomfort for a few days which is expected but within days I was up and about. A final follow up appointment took place in January this year with Alastair and now all is looking good. I cannot THANK you all enough for the care and attention in helping me get back on my (Dancers) feet.

Very disappointed with the Eye Clinic function today at Spire Little Aston for a planned/verified appointment with a consultant. Whilst it was acknowledged a mistake had been made and apologies were made, nobody really listened and ensured priority was given to have me seen. Two hours later I was told I’d have to wait. This for a private appointment. All the simple things were not handled well and has left a patient concerned not only about their current health position but also that Little Spire are just focused on money and not care.

I have recently had a total hip replacement at Spire Little Aston Hospital. I received the most amazing , safe care I could have wished for. From walking in through the front door for my initial consultation where I was greeted by excellent admin staff with great customer focus. to my admission last week. The most lovely ward clerk took me to my room and put me at ease with her calming and informative words. The physios - who get a bad press due to the nature of their job, worked me hard but always in a cheerful positive way and I am now reaping the rewards . Hostesses who went above and beyond and even gave me menu choices that weren't even on the menu just because I fancied something different. The medical doctor who I luckily didn't need to see much of but the interaction I had with him was one of utter confidence that if I needed him he had extreme competence. Theatre staff who put me completely at ease and treated me with care and compassion . Nursing staff- what can I say, kind ,professional, highley trained with obviously excellent standards from the health care assistants, nurses to the ward sisters the whole team were like a well oiled machine, efficient ,nothing was ever too much trouble I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times. Angels all of them. Finally my surgeon and anaesthetist , I cannot thank them enough, I had complete confidence that the treatment I received would be top class and I wasn't disappointed . I feel very lucky I have such an amazing Hospital that I can access and would recommend Little Aston Hospital to anybody .

Absolutely the worst clinic ever ! Doctors are useless. Charging so much and going with the same pains and symptoms that I came with and they send me home because they can't figure out where the pain is coming from . And of course they charge before the consultation and you can't take the money back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I will never ever go to this clinic!! Avoid!!!

Incredibly rude reception staff. Stuck up and acting like they own the place. They seriously need to learn communication and people skills. Long wait times, waited long after given appointment time on many occasions. Chopping and changing appointments last minute. Unprofessional all around.

I recently underwent hand surgery as a day patient with Mr Shyamalan and cannot praise him and the hospital staff enough. The care I received was fantastic. Due to Covid I was a little apprehensive about going for the procedure but needn't have worried as everyone was reassuring and organised. As for the surgery itself, the outcome is amazing. For years I had been suffering with osteoarthritis in my left hand which had led to thumb displacement, constant pain and the inability to use my hand hardly at all. I was extremely self conscious of my deformity and depressed. Mr Shyamalan removed my trapezium bone and realigned my hand. I am now pain free and my hand has returned to full use. I can lift, do up buttons and zippers, unscrew jars...all tasks I was unable to perform prior to surgery. As for scarring....there's barely a mark. Thank you team, you have changed my life immeasurably.

I recently have a hernia operation here and I have to say they made me feel so welcome from start to finish every visit I had was very welcoming and reassuring. the staff are marvellous and attentive. everyone that I had contact with was so friendly and put me at ease every step of the way. I saw several nurses during my time there all of which were highly professional and made me feel at ease. my surgeon was great and kept me well informed and very friendly. I had a student nurse who was also very friendly and professional. I found the whole experience so relaxing and I would highly recommend Spire Little Aston to all and thank you all so much for making my operation smooth and friendly. I appreciated that very much.

I cannot fault anyone connected to Spire Little Aston. Anyone I've spoken to on the phone has been really polite and so helpful. Mrs Jain, my consultant has been brilliant from the day I met her. She listened to me, showed such empathy and has been so caring throughout my treatment and operation. On the ward, all the nurses were amazing. Despite being busy, nothing was too much trouble for them; they helped me when needed and took time to care. The catering ladies were also so lovely too and always had a smile on their faces. Thank you to everyone at Spire Little Aston, I'm extremely grateful for the care I've received.

Poor customer service, they' ve booked me to a doctor chosen by them and when I've got there I've been told that this doctor cannot see me and I have to go home or to come back in a different day to book another appoitment. I made a complaint over the phone and they were very kind to take the complaint as the person who was dealing with this matters wasnt present but I was assured that they will contact me next day which never happen.

Called to get a quote on Corneal Cross-linking for keratoconus. This procedure is even listed on their website for Spire Little Aston. After being connected to the third person within this Spire Hospital for the quote, the person did not know what the procedure was and how much it would cost. Instead of asking a colleague for clarification, the person gives me, the prospect client, the task to get clarity on which internal "code" the procedure falls under!! The NHS has gotten unbearable, but admin staff at this hospital is not not very far behind. In business, the front end that is responsible for getting the money is usually well-trained to provide a smooth experience. Not so at this private hospital. I guess they don't need to because people are fleeing the NHS and will embrace anyone who could at least provide medical relief. This is the state of affairs in our Great Britain. Race to the bottom.

Your better off going to the NHS. It's the same basic service but overpriced. I paid Β£200 for basic consultation. I was told I needed a scan but that the doctor who referred me has to be there physically. Some time passed and the appointment is no where in sight. The doctor apparently can not be reached and you can forget about contacting his secretary. Nearly two weeks in and I'm still in pain with no help.

I recently had a hip replacement at Little Aston. Unfortunately due to me having an auto immune disease it was a bit of a struggle for me and I was ill afterwards. However I cannot compliment the Dr's and staff enough. They attended to me regularly and ensured that I was kept comfortable and as pain free as possible. The nurses were kind, caring and compassionate they even looked up the auto immune disease I have so tnat they could give me the best possible care.. It was a beautifully clean hospital and I am only 6 days post op but I feel good and my new hip seems to be working well. The physio's are fantastic and really helped me to walk after the op. I could add compliments all day as although this was a very difficult experience for me the hospital looked after me brilliantly.

Inside walking routes are clearly marked on the floor and there are lots of hand sanitizers available. Hospital is efficient and the staff a friendly. Also there is a plenty of car parking available too.

I had an appointment with Mr Dezso regarding problems with my ear and he was very helpful. He referred me for an MRI which was done efficiently. I couldn't fault the service and it was all very quick and easy.

Visited Spire this morning and found it to be really good as I was seen quickly by a very helpful consultant and the staff and hospital itself looked really nice and just what you need, hope it continues as I got to continue using their services soon, but only 4 stars as its not going to be cheap Update have had the treatment now, and it was just what I needed and everyone there was very helpful and were there for me and my partner when I needed them

Not a good experience today with this hospital. If your machines are faulty, say they're faulty. No good trying to explain later WHEN my anxiety is through the roof and I'm no longer absorbing information! I'm very angry. The doctors however, were amazing.

Lovely staff even though I was late to my appointment the reception staff were very forgiving. I saw Professor Richard Powell allergy specialist and couldnt thank him enough. He gave me a diagnosis that would have took the NHS years to figure out.

Every time I have been a patient here myself and my family have had excellent care. From personal experience - Mr. Harland, Mr. Ingle, Mr. Minhas and Dr. Bhatt have all been excellent. Actually all the staff are really friendly and helpful, outpatient booking and reception as well as all the nurses. I can't recommend this place enough to get treatment.

Disappointing. Doctor doesn’t seem to have communication with their own department at the hospital as I had a wasted appointment. Also had a text message saying my appointment was delayed to 213rd August (literally). I’ve had 6 months of delays to appointments for my painful shoulder. Call them up, can’t get through. Choose the option to leave a message and it won’t record. Pretty diabolical really.

Surprised to see so many low ratings for this hospital, whilst I'm sure they're all valid my experience was excellent. From the pre-op assessment to the (hernia) operation itself everybody was extremely friendly and professional. Their online portal was useful and updated regularly, and the staff were always happy to answer any questions between the pre-op and my operation date. I would certainly use this hospital again and would recommend to others for future procedures.
