My favourite and most local wild swimming spot. There's a wild swim club who come and test the water very often so rest in the knowledge that it's safe to swim here and free from any nasties. Swimming pools are actually filthy but create the illusion of cleanliness. For me, I prefer not swimming in chemicals that burn my eyes but each to their own. There is a really nice beachy looking side to enter from, next to the meadow. It's not called Sandwell for no reason, there is sand! The best time to swim is earlier in the year as later on, weeds begin to grow and it makes it difficult to swim through before getting to the deeper parts where it's too deep for them to grow. May until July is the ideal time for it but I'll often continue into September.

Best place to go with ur friends and kids and family, even pets, kids friendly, water is not the cleanest but it works, u can do picnic, bbq, play ball games, swim, it's very nicely laid for kids to go inside , from shallow to deep, very smoothly. Defo recomend, there is also car park, for a little cost. We spend every hot day there .

A good place for a quick dog walk or to take your boat out on the lake to fish. However, be prepared to come across cigarette butts, blue-green algae, peculiar smells, and the chance of a seagull stealing the ice-cream you were just overcharged for. This place needs maintenance (path relaying and general cleaning up).

Huge lake in Sandwell Valley which is home to not just swans, but also many kinds of ducks and geese. It's a beautiful space for taking a walk and clearing your mind, especially when the sun is out. We are very lucky to have this space in West Bromwich. As always, it's best to be respectful of the wildlife and their young.

Solitude in nature. In the middle of the city. My heaven.

Beautiful place. Cheap to park, which you can do via an app. Lovely walk around the lake. Then if you cross the road, there is another lake, that's beautiful too.

Swan Pool is OK, but part of a large country park with other varied pools and attractions. The whole thing is great.

I love swan pool. Always a great place for a walk and to feed the swans and birds.

I believe this is part of sandwell valley but this part of the park is a GEM. It's not really that flat in most places but for riding a bike or walking it's great. Few water animals to grab your attention. Park is clean however lots of dogs so beware of the scattered muck

Choice between a short quick walk around the lake, or exploring further into priory woods or over to the park farm. No café on site or toilets. Nearby forge Mill Farm and sandwell valley park Farm have cafés and toilets, but café is currently take away only and toilets are closed due to covid. Parking costs less than £1 for 2 hours or is free after 6pm. There was outdoor swimming in the pool pre covid (this was an organised event, please don't just jump in and start swimming, someone died not that long ago there).

Large lake at Sandwell Valley County Park. Worth a walk around it. Geese and swans. Didn't see any boats at the time.

👍👍 Great place for a decent walk. Cafe on site at the farm and animals to see and touch. Great little spot with reasonable parking charges.
