I have purchased 2 fish tanks and many fish from Pets At Home there is a good variety of fish and all of them are in good condition. The staff are all very helpful upon arrival as they give good tips on how to take care of the fish and answer any question you may have.

Purchased 2 Guinea Pigs from the Oldbury store. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Today I've been to collect item that I ordered, the staff was not really nice, the guy who went to collect my order came with it and just pass it to me and said "HERE" ... After that I get some more stuff for my kitten and I payed with £50 note, the guy who took the money gave me nasty look and looked at his friend she took out the blue light machine to check it but they wasn't nice to me at all, not good customer service!!!! Be a bit nicer to customer! Never will go to this store again, not in Oldbury!

I love pets at home staff are really polite and helpful and the pets grooming corner is superb , really go out there way to help and make our fury friends feel good ,i will always take my dog there wonderful .

I’ve been to a few PaH’s and this is the best one surrounding Birmingham Central. All PaH have the same general set up & layout, staff uniform and procedures but stock is overall always better here, as well as queuing and customer service. There always seems to be more fish in the tanks to purchase, more tank options, different varieties of pet foods/toys/medicines etc than other nearby stores that I’m a regular patron of. I also have noticed a drastic difference in the customer service being much better here. They give you the time of day and don’t seem huffy or fake-nice when you ask for help or advice. They seem to *want* to help you. I work for the NHS and they never forget to apply my NHS discount when clearly wearing my NHS badges/lanyards whereas other stores - it’s like blood out of stone and you can see it blatantly grieves them. Parking is extremely easy here, plenty of space even when busy; you’ll still find a space albeit further away from the store as it is in a shared retail unit and in a corner. You will get loud kids running under your feet sometimes so if you don’t like kids, have anxiety or a physical medical condition making you vulnerable to potential knocks or bumps, go super early in the morning or towards closing time during holidays/weekends and during school hours on school days. Prices are same as other stores I’ve been to and it’s one of the stores that closes later at 8pm as some stores close earlier at 6pm like the Quinton branch. Hand sanitiser available on payment counter which is immediately ahead of you as you enter store. Does have a service to carry heavy goods to your carry like big bags of dog food, fish tank or gravel for example. There’s a pet groomer service here with a cute human waiting room i though was a nice touch. Standard PaH vet and advisory service in store. VIP Card is of course, accepted here. Click and collect service here if you ordered something off the PaH website.

Prices a little on the high side but an amazing variety of pets stuff. Pet grooming Corner znd a vet office is also a great addition 👌

Good store for all pet needs big or small just a shame you can never find a member of staff for assistance. But it's in a good location and plenty of parking and an on site Vets4pets.

Wonderful staff who are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. The shop is (for the most part) incredibly well stocked with both comments not required and specialist stock. I highly recommend this store for all of your pet needs.

Favourite pet store by far. My girlfriend has two rottweillers and they are taken car of at the on site vets who are very diligent and knowledgeable. I also keep rabbits at my mom's and I always get their foodstuffs and toys from here. i have only ever had one issue when a large nugget bag had some mould at the bottom of the bag. I too it in for advice and the manager came down and even though it could have been a storage issue on my part he replaced it without issue and also threw in some free toys for the rabbits. Amazing service. Massive amount of free parking and other stores on the retail park. I like the prices; I like the fully stocked shelves; I love the cleanlieness and I love the care they take of the animals in the store. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

Really good store, I love how we can see real life animals, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pig, fishes etc . The staff are are really friendly and helpful. They do know a lot about their products and also gave advice on pet care. Their was only a few issues I had but one with the actual store itself. 1st issue I saw was some customers came in with their pet dogs. I'm not a dog person myself so I won't understand this much but two dogs which came in started urinating on the floor. Like I said im not a dog person I do understand dogs pee but that was nasty. So I think the store should have some sort of rules in place like no dogs allowed in the store. The second issue is the retail park. Oldbury retail park has free car parking but it's limited to 3hrs. The issue with this is you can easily overstay the time limit especially if your doing shopping and then want something to eat. The retail park has so much to offer but I didn't see if there was any options to buy a ticket. We wanted to stay longer and have some food after shopping but after looking around we just left. Second issue has nothing to do with the store but just a heads up guys. Apparently you will get fined if you overstay the 3hr time limit. So just bare that in mind ! Hope this helps 😊

Everytime I go here they always have the items I need also if they are short stocked the members of staff do warn me, but there has never been a time when they haven't got what I need so I would highly recommend this lovely place for their love of animals. Very polite staff very welcoming 🙂

Over all there is nothing to complain. However they seems to have a limited choice of fish tanks equipment. Also it looks like buying a fish here is more difficult than adopting a child

Yesterday I visited the store to purchase a microchip catflap , the young lady who advised me on which one to get was really professional and friendly, she also helped me with the app to qualify for a great discount ,will visit this store again .

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and give good advice. I bought a corn snake as a first time snake owner and the member of staff was extremely helpful and gave me some great tips and advice on how to care for my snake.

Brought some Spotted Danios, Ember Tetras, all healthy and doing well. Wanted some Red Spotted Snails was hard to find some without any damage on the shells in the tank as they all had some damage i chose 2 with minimal damage. After looking into these snails breeding habits i came across a YouTube video discussing snail care and the shell damage. It turns out shell damage occurs due to a lack of calcium and other snails will attack the other snails shells for calcium and because they are calcium deficient the shells will be brittle so they are prone to damage during transit, so this would explain all the damaged shells in the shop, not the shops fault but the breeders. They just need calcium blocks to eat and it maintains a healthy shell, maybe worth putting in a few calcium blocks guys.

First time at this vets and they was amazing with my girl really helped Bella nerves fully checked her over cuddled my Bella had a long chat about what to do the vet was amazing 😍 defo going to them now on thank you so much

Good shop for pets a bit expensive. The Vet are not a good experience alot vet unprofessional. The grooms are not that good at all it's I'd they dint to do the work. I brought my pet for nail clip did one clip on the whole paw made me pay full amount of money.

Not keen on reducing an antibacterial dog shampoo(on vets recommendations)with a broken pump as it was the last one on the shelf and they couldn't be bothered to look out the back to see if they had anymore,instead they wrote on receipt that I could 'take it back for a refund' if it didn't work,Douxos shampoo,quite expensive and now found it on Amazon much cheaper!

As always, the staff were really friendly and helpful at this branch. They had everything I needed and they're open till 8pm.

Not happy. 1 snail still alive but we got fish 1 year ago 1 week later the fish is dead...☹️ Appalled Alr I signed my cat up and on his birthday he got a couple vouchers. Still don't buy fish from there guys...unless you want a dead fish in 1 week.
