The review of this place is considering it as a museum that it is not. This is a advanced STEM oriented play area for middle school kids. Kids should enjoy this place. Sufficient parking available in front of the building. There is a canteen with two vending machine, but you have to carry your own lunch. The planetarium is medium size and attended to shows that are very ordinary. I traveled for an hour. This place is not worth driving that long. If you are in the neighborhood enjoy the place with your kid.

Came here on a weekday, so it was pretty empty. We spent about an hour here. Adults are $18; media pass for the planetarium is an additional $5. I had a library pass so up to 4 kids are included for free. The museum is still a work in progress, so while it was fun, I look forward to its growth and expansion over time. I saw a poster of the sun and planets that was completely “not to scale” - the sun and gas giants were too small compared to the rocky planets, and Pluto is no longer a planet… hopefully they’ll update it soon.

I was a bit skeptical after reading the negative reviews, but after speaking with a staff member and getting more info, I decided to push on. We, my 8 year old granddaughter and her 10 year old friend, arrived around 1 pm and left shortly after 4:30 after thoroughly enjoying the visit. The science demonstrations and the shows at the Planetarium were the highlights in addition to the individual hands-on exhibits. There is a nice mix of exhibits geared for younger children as well as for slightly older ages. We took our time and lingered at some exhibits longer than others and returned to the favorites. When mixed with the demonstrations and shows that lasted about 25 minutes each, the afternoon flew by.

We visited this small science museum as we were in the area and it was a delight. It was close to Halloween when visited so there was an impressive themed exhibit of a murder mystery.

We took our 3 yr old for about an hour on a Sunday. Everything was just dandy and we had such a great time until the end. Before we left my child wanted something from the gift shop. We purchased a Rubik's cube that was on display with the empty box behind it. The worker who helped us was Hispanic as are we. The white worker behind the other counter proceeds to ask the other worker to make sure the box was empty. We told her it was and so did the worker. “Just to make sure” the white worker asks for the box and asks my child for the cube as he was playing with it, so she could put it in the box and he wouldn’t “lose” it on the way out 😑. This is why I gave the rating that I did as this was very unpleasant and made us very uncomfortable. We will NOT be returning EVER.

The front desk staff was very pleasant. The place is more for 5 years old and under. My son is 11 and was expecting more from a science museum. They need to incorporate more teens programs. Also even though it was 10am it was filthy and dirty. Many broken items too.

We absolutely love the Discover Science Center and Planetarium! It's an incredible facility with a wide range of engaging exhibits that cater to children of all ages. Our son, in particular, is completely hooked on the space interactive game – he asks to go back daily! The center provides an enriching and educational experience that's also loads of fun. It's a perfect blend of entertainment and learning, making it a go-to spot for family outings. We appreciate the thought and effort put into creating such an engaging environment. Overall, we can't say enough positive things about the Discover Science Center. It's a fantastic place for kids to explore and discover the wonders of science. We absolutely love coming here and highly recommend it to families seeking both entertainment and education in one place, especially those interested in science and space!

If your kids love planets, then this place is amazing. There are also other things such as dinosaurs, science in motion, etc.

We used the Discovery Science Center as our wedding and reception venue and it was a nerd/geek's paradise! The museum's event coordinator Tana is incredible! She helped us throughout the process of planning and setting up the venue for our wedding day. She put up with our many many many visits to bug her on site and was a pleasure each and every time. Pricing to book the venue on a holiday even was very reasonable and we felt like we were given the 5-star treatment every time we went to the venue. The day of her staff was also incredible and all were a huge reason why our special day went so smoothly. The venue itself was an incredibly unique experience for all of our guests just like we wanted! The exhibits were open and accessible throughout our event and everyone had a blast! Plus a custom planetarium show during the reception. Such a one of a kind experience all around. If you are someone who enjoys space, tracking weather, D&D, and other "nerdy" enjoyments you will feel right at home getting married here or for any other event you might have!

We came on a Wednesday so it wasn’t busy at all but for $51 dollars for two adults and one three year old was very expensive especially when many of the exhibits were closed for repairs/expansion or they weren’t open. That and the air conditioning was only working on one floor. They had industrial fans which helped but maybe lower the cost until the whole museum is done. This isn’t their fault but seriously, until people learn to park there should be painted lines.

We just had my son’s birthday party here and had the best time. The room was beautiful, our host was amazing and the kids loved the planetarium show! The facility is really clean and full of interesting things to do.

Good museum for kids of all ages. Some space could be better utilized like the Dino area. Light presentation is not good. Some areas are still under construction. All that said, my toddler was very entertained. There is a cafeteria but no food so bring lunch.

Came here with our 2.5 year old and had a great time. Erica and the staff were helpful and Erica showed my daughter how to build and launch a paper rocket. We spent about three hours here. Overall a fun way to pass the time with a toddler.

Worst science musuem . Terrible displays and kids activities are a mess. Super dissapointed. You have to pay extra for the plantarian show. This musuem is laid out all wrong and cost way too much for general admission. Would not recommend

Many of the exhibits are closed or not working, table of stuffed animals ,some wearing masks and I saw some kids wearing them, ew, $17.00 for an adult is ridiculous.

My family and I went here for the first time today and this is truly fun for kids and adults both! It's well worth it to go and we hope to go again soon to see a planetarium show!

Went for the first time, for a Saturday was pretty empty. The price it is not worth it. Many things were broken or out of place. There is a section that is under construction right now. Also planetarium cost extra money to see it. I would not visit again or recommend it.

Meh. Mediocre displays. Many exhibits not working. Extra $ for the planetarium. Definitely for kids but still. Lotta cheese for so little.
