Really really recommend this place!❤️‍🔥 Not only the food was good, prices were friendly, and staff were nice☺️ We were 6 people together for dinner, 2 appetizers and 5 main dishes. Everything was above average tastes. But some dishes I prefer: 🥢Tet noodles was my favorite noodle dish that day! Really like the texture of the noodles. Interestingly, this dish got a western-style taste for me, like pasta. But I liked it a lot! 🍖For rice and meat, I like my choice Suon Kho. Short ribs were well cooked with delicious sauce. It went really well with rice.

Absolutely delicious. Get the Tet Noodles! They are more expensive than everything on the menu ($28) but WORTH IT! They have this chard taste which is so delicious with the creamy sauce. The vermicelli bowl was definitely above average, but didn’t knock our socks off like the Tet noodles. Super fresh and light and yummy. The service was sooo friendly. They took the time to check on the details of ingredients for an allergy. We went on a Wednesday night at 8pm in June, no wait.

Just tried this place tonight and had the summer rolls, the crepe, and the madame pho. All were excellent but there were so many other things on the menu to try! As far as NYC eating spots go it's a little narrow so when crowded feels particularly packed but I wouldn't say this is a big downside at all. Also tried the Miss Saigon cocktail which was great - a little bit of tang, fruity tones, and sweetness. Would definitely come back here!

The Banh Xeo is delicious. The crepe is crispy and the filling is tasty. The mushroom noodles soup is good as well. The broth is umami. The server is so super and friendly. The spicy broth is their specialty too. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m really angry and I feel like it’s for the benefits of others to share this. We order the papaya salad and the shrimp is funky, yes the shrimps turn bad, not because of the fish sauce or any other seasoning, just pure sour/funky smell, and believe me as eastern Asian and someone who lived in NYC Chinatown for three years and tried many awesome Vietnamese restaurants, I know what fish sauce looks like. And the waiter is really nice to help us replace the salad, but the new one is mixed with good and bad shrimps too. I guess my advice is not to make too many premade papaya salad. And if so, please store them properly. The it’s the pho, tho the taste it’s not a good as many Chinatown ones, but what I’m angry about the most if the quality of the bean sprouts, please take a look at the image, 40% of the bean sprouts are rotten!!! The waiter said that’s normal, but the table next to us have fresher bean sprouts. They insist us to pay for the Pho still. For your own safety and health, think twice if you’re about to eat here. Honestly I feel nauseous after the food since I don’t want to waste the Pho.

Such beautiful decor, with lots of modern touches and westernised Vietnamese atmosphere. A short walk from the subway, our party of 3 landed at Madame Vo to experience some staple Vietnamese dishes. First n foremost the service recieved by the waiter was impeccable with such attentive and prompt service, he was joyful and made us have such a plesant experience. Our party of 3 started with crispy squid which as a 10/10 appetizer with an awesome accompanying green sauce, the batter was just right, and the texture of squid was perfect, the chicken wing in fish sauce appetizer really reminded me of Vietnamese street food found in southern parts, it was sweet with hint of tangyness to it. For mains we ordered a Pho with the extra spare ribs, Bun Bo Hue and Tet noodles. Pho: I was dissapointed to have such a signature dish which was meant to have very rich flavours in the broth become so bland, this is not what Pho should taste like in either the North or Southern parts of Vietnam, the brisket was so tough and rubber like my jaw is still cramping from the chewing that was required , a 2/10 (Maybe I am a bit harsh, but I am phosure this could be deffinetly improved.) Bun Bo Hue: The colour of the broth was on point but that’s probably the only thing that was right about it, a lack of accompanying herbs and lack of flavour and essential BBH ingredients was such a dissapointing dish also 2/10. Tet Noodles: I wonder if this is a dish found in the middle parts of Vietnam, however the flavours were as described on the menu, this was a reccomendation from the waiter and did not regret.

First time having Vietnamese, and wow. I need to go back STAT! Our waiter Kid was truly the best, he was really invested in making sure I liked the dish he chose for me, and that I was also enjoying my drink. Absolutely loved the service. Refilled my water before I even knew I needed more. Music was good (I am biased towards bad bunny ;) and ambiance was great. Highly recommend. Ask for Kid as your waiter!

It waa just ok. The dishes couldve been more seasoned, it was only tender. The spareribs especially. The pork chop was the only tasty meat, it was seasoned well and viet pork chop style. The ribeye was just tender, good texture but no taste. But that’s just our opinion! Fresh coconut juice was coool, and the summer roll was fresh yet small portioned. My hu tieu waa just ok, texture was good but is missing also some profile of flavor. good bathroom and cool plate.

Have been wanting to come here for ages! It’s quite popular as there was a wait. Though I have to say, the pho was disappointing. I suppose it’s been changed to accommodate the neighborhood? The broth was excellent but it was quite lacking in terms of noodle ratio and toppings. Although I absolutely adored the waiter that served us! He was so sweet and lovely and reminded me of family back home!

One of the BEST vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been in the whole entire US. 1: the atmosphere, environment, lightning , decorations and music is all combined and gave us a refresh when we walked in 2: FRIENDLY and professional staff. Fast pace kitchen, clean inside out. Professional full bar with great cocktails and wine list. 3: FOOD was amazing. We got Bun Bo Hue, and TET NOODLE. If you love lumps crab meat this is so you. It’s a mix between Italian and Vietnamese cuisine for this pasta dish. ONE OF A KIND only at MADAME VO! 4: pricing is AFFORDABLE and amazing with its quality. Will definitely coming back here The location is 30 mins away from near by airports, 10 mins uber to SOHO and 15 mins from timesquare!! TRY THE TET NOODLE and thanks me later!!!

Very authentic! They all tasted so much like Vietnam! The price was a little high but I think it totally worth it. I forgot to take picture of my limeade but it was our favorite! The staffs were very friendly. The place looked so cute. Everything was just perfect for us!

Madame Vo is a wonderful restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, a great menu, and tasty food. I tried Cha Gio spring rolls and the Madame Pho. Rolls were delicious, crispy and flavorful. Pho was tasty as well, with thin slices of brisket and a huge portion that I could not finish. Check for appetizer and noodles was around $43 including tips. To conclude it’s a great place and a descend alternative to my favorite Vietnamese spot in the city.

This place was really nice. The atmosphere was cozy but still enough where you had some space. The food was perfectly hot and fresh when it came out. It also didn’t take long for the food to come out which was surprising because it was so well plated and looked made to order. I got the medium spice and it was just enough and not excessive. Would definitely go back to try some different dishes.

SO good. I happened across this restaurant on google maps and noted the good reviews to total reviews ratio. I'm so glad I did! We made a reservation (just in case, since it was a rainy day and didn't want to have to wait outside if it was busy) for 1pm on a Sunday. We arrived a bit early and it wasn't too crazy, so we were able to be seated right away. Everything, from drinks to appetizers to mains, was fantastic. Not to be under-beveraged, I ordered a vietnamese iced coffee and their "First Kiss" cocktail. Both were great (and the cocktail was strong!) We then ordered the NEM NUONG CUON (Grilled pork roll with rice vermicelli, lettuce, mint & crispy rice paper—great) and the CHA GIO (Fried spring rolls filled with shrimp, crab & pork. Served with fish sauce—truly superb). For mains, we ordered the GARLIC NOODLES (Rice noodles stir fried with eggs, shrimp, scallions, and garlic—very good) and I had the TET NOODLES (GF, btw—Egg noodles stir fried with garlic butter fish sauce, topped with lump crab meat & prawns—A+). Service was great. Atmosphere was cozy. Definitely want to come back soon since there were many other items on the menu that we wanted to try!

Speechless!! Will definitely come back again! For appetizers: Madame Wings - 💣 20/10 (spicy) Entree: Short Ribs Pho - 10/10 Tet Noodles -8/10 Drink: Iced Vietnamese Coffee - 10/10 Lychee Martini something - 20/10 *i would suggest making a reservation. The place was packed. We were seated 1O mins past our reservation but we didn’t mind. It’s casual, great ambiance, and excellent service. Recommended!

Visited Madame Vo for the first time in person! Always ordered take out from here via food delivery. The food was amazing and bun bo hue was tangy and had a nice kick at the end. Pho was also very delicious along with their bot chien. Beef luc lac was a nice sharing dish, a bit on the saltier side but very flavourful! Lychee drink was also probably one of the best lychee cocktails I’ve had in NYC so far, will definitely be back!

New to the Vietnamese food scene. Got the first items in appetizers and noodles. ✅ Fried spring rolls came out steaming hot ✅ Madame Pho broth was flavorful. The aroma was heavenly. Reminded me of Southern Indian Muslim cuisine. So good 💯

Went here per the recommendation of several friends. Respectfully, it did not live up to the hype. As someone who comes from the DMV and Cali area, this restaurant and most other Viet cuisines in NYC I’ve tried are no match. The restaurant is cute, I’ll give it that, but when it comes to the food, I have a few critiques. First off, their “cha gio” is way overpriced for the 4 pieces of shrimp we got, and second, it’s not even authentic cha gio. Whoever told you battered shrimp is it completely lied to you (what we were served was a Thai dish if anything, not Vietnamese). We tried several other appetizers and were not impressed either. As for entrees, the pho was way sub-par. There was a good portion of meat served, but the broth was so flat. Bun bo hue was decent though. Overall, I would come back and get the bun bo hue if I’m craving this dish, but would not get any of the other dishes I tried.

When my foodie Vietnamese friend recommended this restaurant, I knew it was going to be great and yet I was still completely blown away by the quality of the Pho (I had the Madame Pho). It’s definitely the best I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to come back again and try everything else on the menu. Great wait staff, and overall vibes

This was my very first meal when I came to NY. The staff was very nice and attentive, the restaurant was nice and spacious to fit 12 of us at once. I had the chance to try the: Madame Pho Papaya Salad Madame Wings Vietnamese Coffee The pho I felt like I can have better and cheaper anywhere, but I really enjoyed the papaya salad and the wings. The salad was flavourful and super refreshing and tasty, the wings were crispy and saucy. Vietnamese coffee was also good, strong and not too sweet.

My husband and I ate here for dinner for a celebration. The drinks and the papaya salad were excellent, I love that the papaya salad was not too sweet and the shrimp were a nice addition. However I must say I was disappointed with the vermicelli beef bowl. It seems like the dish was trying to fuse Thai shaking beef with Vietnamese bun, but in my opinion the flavors did not mesh well together and I was really just wanting Hanoi style Vietnamese bun. The sauce (what should have been nuom choc) was too sweet, kind of like sweet chili sauce and was definitely not what I was hoping for. The stir fried rice cakes were pretty good.

The broth here was super unique! It had a somewhat cinnamon flavor which was weird on its own if you drink the broth straight but went really well with the meat and noodles. The noodles were the perfect texture IMO, and meat was super tender and fresh! Calamari was also great, though the sauce was a bit sweet. Would def come back :)

Absolutely 5 star service! If you go please ask for Jack, he was the best waiter I’ve ever had. We ordered the madame platter which was essentially building your own spring roll with rice paper, very delicious just a little pricey, but it did feed four of us. We also ordered the garlic noodles which someone in our group really wanted, however the waiter did suggest getting the wings instead, and wish we would have done that as the noddles were good but a little underwhelming. Finally we also got the fried squid which was also amazing! The avocado crème it comes with stole the show as well. We ordered two drinks 1. Weekend fling (very fresh summer day tasting, delicious lifht notes) and the madame spicy, which was I believe their take on a spicy margarita and was ask very good. All in all between the waiter, the platter and the squid, we had an amazing dinner and cannot wait to return for the wings!

Super awesome! We had the pho - delicious broth and super comforting. Ordered some tea (the teabags were SO cute, lovely) and a fresh coconut for fun too. Great ambiance, quick and sweet service, perfect food - will be returning!!!

No frills Vietnamese restaurant with a great pho and the soft shell crab was fantastic! Definitely recommend for a chill date night. Madam vo will not disappoint. Also try out blackbird if you’re planning to go there

My first time here in my new hunt for the best pho in the city. Started with some shrimp rolls which were really tasty. The pho came out hot with generous cuts of meat and nicely flavored broth. Only a couple minor points - they don’t have the range of meat options of some other places and I wish they’d had the birds eye chiles to give it more kick. The larger ones they had were rather mild. Excellent service though.

I got the first Pho on the menu, I dont remember the name of dish. Madame Pho?. It was good but the meat had quite a lot of fat. Non fatty meat is my personal preference. My bf's fried rice was okay but nothing special compared to other fried rice dishes. But when I first came here, I still had nice memories about this place. Anyway, this was my second time to come here.

Man, I come from Paris where the Vietnamese community is huge and Pho is probably the best in the world (yes, better than in VN in my opinion) HOWEVER, the pho from Madame Vo blew our mind. The broth was neat, clean, tasty, comforting, well balanced, hot. You could taste that the beef used for the broth was of good quality. The meat was also really good, it definitely exceeded our expectations!! I recommend 100% this place if you’re looking for that Asian goodness. Also, you should book in advance, it gets packed if you don’t come at the opening time!

Walked-in, no reservation for two, and we were able to sit immediately on the bar. Ordered the fried spring rolls and the madame pho dish. They were able to accommodate my request with no cilantro. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and very fulfilling. The service was amazing. Our server was recommending plates, practicing spanish, and being the nicest server. We were served fast. The espresso martini was delicious. Perfect place for a date, and to eat delicioua pho during the cold weather months in NYC! Muy rico el platillo de Madame pho! El servicio excelente y la comida fue servida muy rapido.

Great customer service. I was recommended here via an app. I was trying to take advantage of a sale. And to be honest I had no idea how it worked. But the host and 2 servers were kind enough to try to help me but ultimately could not. Then a younger looking gentleman came by who I believe runs this establishment. Even tho English is not his first language he spent 30min helping me get a discount. Can you believe that. I mean great customer service. NOW about the FOOD I ordered the Special of the night a $135 lobster over noodles. It was delicious 🤤. I was sucking on the shell because it was so well seasoned. The noodles were so flavorful. Think the best crb fried rice you’ve ever had but with noodles. Different and maybe even better. I checked out other items on the menu like the pho, noddle and much more. The place smells so good. High quality from service to plate. Check this place out

Food was ok IMO. The Pho was good but I had better. The flavors fall flat after a few taste of the soup. The Bun Bo Hue didn't come with the side of veggies and no pork knuckle/feet or blood cube. Service was super nice and friendly. The price was on the high side because of the area but this place is nothing speical.

Ordered several dishes including the Madame Pho and Tet Noodles for lunch. Everything was tasty and of higher quality than most Vietnamese restaurants I been to. However, the price is higher than average so I took a star off for value. However, I do recommend trying this place at least once to decide for yourself if it is worth the extra money. Edit: Updated to five star based on value.

The Pho is perfectly prepared, the meat still pinkish, the broth (I asked for extra hot) is well made, light but tasty. I prefer the Pho than the Tet noodle (crab, shrimp garlic noodles) it's a bit too rich and filling. The spring rolls exceptional fresh ❤️

  • 5/5 Al C. 10 months ago on Google
Great food! Service was great and the price point was well worth it! Definitely recommend getting the short rib with your pho. It becomes well worth it. Autumn roll is good if you love peanuts. A little heavy on the peanuts. The ribeye was so good and well-flavoured. Highly recommend mixing rice onto the dish and eating it hot so the steak doesn't cook well-done and the yolk is still runny. Pho is so good with the broth from short ribs being slow-cooked in that broth. Espresso martini is really good, a nice kick but so good you can't taste the vodka at all. Would highly recommend!
