I made an appointment at 3:30 and got there on time, but after one hour waiting there, they still hadn't started working on my car. In the meantime, they helped some walk-in people instead and one had her car done even way before they got finally noticed my car sitting there forever. Just be aware that you still have to provide all your personal information including your name, phone number and home address even when you decide not to use their service. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I dropped off my family’s car because it wouldn’t shift out of park and expressed that this was the main reason for dropping it off. Come to find that it needed about $4000 worth of work, none of which related to the shifting. I expressed that I cannot afford the $4000 repair and stressed that all I need was to be able to put the car into drive to get to and from work each day, only about a 20 mile drive each day. They topped off the oil and power steering fluid and did nothing about the gear problem. When I got there to pick the car up, it was sitting outside, still stuck in park. Nothing was fixed. When I asked them why this was they said they didn’t know that’s what we needed to fix…. Astonished by the lack of common sense I said what good is a car that’s stuck in park and can’t move. After paying for the oil change, they agreed to fix the shifter and charged $200 for a 10 minute job that should have been done in the first place. The excuse the guy gave was they had to run a diagnostic test and charge for labor. It’s not the price that I’m dissatisfied with, it’s the sheer lack of common sense and horrible customer service. They also took my tools I had in the car and when I asked for them back, they said “sorry I thought they were ours”. I urge everyone to avoid this mechanic at all cost. Go to a true professional.

So only came here for the conventional oil change last minute on a friday morning. Took 45 minutes to complete. Total paid $24.99. You are able to see inside the shop while work is being done on your car. The place can use a little tlc inside for the waiting area but for the most part they get the job quick and fast. No gimmicks. Straight forward. Small free parking lot located in front of store. Close to stop and shop and subways if your hungry.

Was once a nice place to use, but has devolved into a revolving door of rude staff members who must have moved boxes around in their past career. Avoid and look for less desperate locations.

The service was quick & gave me honest answer to my tire issue without any hint of deception. I’ll highly recommend customers to come here for good service.

Making an appointment was easy and quick. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. The wait wasn't bad at all. They assessed the situation, checked my car and I was out the door very quickly following that. I would highly recommend them. I made it a point to get all of their names so if I ever need something in the future, I can address them accordingly. Super nice guys!

Went in for a tire puncture/leak. They were very professional and fast. Got my tire fixed in 15 mins or so. Very friendly as well. Will come back here for other services in the future.

I made an appointment to perform a diagnostic on my daughter's 2012 Nissan Versa. I asked the lady that made the appointment for me if there was a charge for the diagnostic and she said no. I had Googled " Free diagnostic for check engine light in my area" and Midas came up. When I got there, the first thing the guy at the front desk did was hand me a bill for $109 charging me for the diagnostic. He claimed that they work on the car for about an hour to perform the diagnostic. I told him what the lady on the phone said about the charge and he said "I'll take your word for it" and took the car. Five minutes later he comes back with a paper stating that whatever was wrong with the car they don't perform the work there and suggested I go somewhere else. How can you determine that in 5 minutes when you initially told me the diagnostic runs for about an hour? I always give places the benefit of the doubt regarding negative reviews. But a think that these negative reviews are spot on. The young man at the front desk was very standoffish and gave the impression that I was wasting his time. I will not be taking my vehicles there again.

Great service. Called to get my car's battery replaced, they had a few different options. When I arrived I paid for it and it took less than 20mins to be installed and I cannot remember the guy that helped me but he was wonderful, great customer service. Will def be back!!!

When I called to ask if I could bring my car in for a muffler estimate, Devine in a friendly welcoming voice said, “ sure bring it in.” When I arrived he immediately took in my car and within minutes told me I needed a new muffler. Although I wasn’t overly excited about what I was going to pay which by the way was lower than average, I was impressed with the friendly and immediate service. The next day I brought my car back for the installation. Once again Devine greeted me and took my car in. While I waited he was mopping floors, sweeping outside, and handling customers. I rarely see this dedication. Even the bathroom was clean! Anyway Within an hour my muffler was replaced. I really appreciated this rare customer service and dedicated worker that takes pride in his work.

I was apprehensive to bring my car here for new brakes because of recent negative reviews. I only did so because I was approved for financing by a third party lender they work with. My experience was absolutely wonderful, and it is time to flip the narrative. Devon worked with my budget to give me more than brand new brakes (the pads themselves having a lifetime guarantee), but also oil service and new filters. After paying, my car died on the way out and they spent an hour fixing a battery wire harness issue the dealership neglected to take care of. Basically, for the price of new brakes I drove away in a car that is in better shape than when I purchased it. I hope this place succeeds with the new crew so I can be a customer for life.

I give this store more than 5 stars. I've been going to the Dumont Midas location for over 10 years and I have met 5 Store Managers. By far Kim who's the current Store Manager is the most professional and courteous I have dealt with. She will work with you with pricing and your highest satisfaction is top of mind. I went for oil changeand tire rotation, rear rotors and brake pads replacement and emergency foot brake repair. The services were done faster than I anticipated and they were all done right. I would really hope Kim stays there for a long time.

Awesome service! Although my 2012 Suzuki is challenging to repair due to difficulty of finding parts, Miguel worked his magic in locating and obtaining the parts to complete the suspension repairs in a timely and professional manner. Miguel communicated every aspect of the procedure as well as locating of parts, delivery and completion of the repair. Kim, at the front desk, like Miguel, was also very attentive and friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I would also like to thank Danny, the mechanic, for his kindness and input. Thanks again guys!

I got an oil change and took the first appointment they had and Kim the front desk Advisor was so kind and caring about my tight schedule . She was attentive and made sure I was able to make it on time to work . The rest of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They always take care of all my car necessities and makes getting an oil change a smooth process !

I had a special offer for synthetic blend oil change for $25. I end up paying $70 for the synthetic oil change. They claimed they do not have synthetic oil. Also they try to get you do unnecessary jobs to your vehicle.

Great location. Went in for an alignment, and noticed my steering wheel was still off and the car wasn't tracking straight. I called them, let them know and they asked me to come back to look the car over. Without question they brought the car back into the bay, and readjusted it perfectly. Amazing customer service from this Midas team.

Alex did a great job installing and welding new resonator and pipe. Cost was reasonable. Most auto repair shops will not do welding on exhaust systems but Midas will so you don't have to replace everything.

We got here 15mins before closing and they squeezed my car in for an oil change. Very professional and courteous staff. The manager was very helpful, Price was awesome! Best part is the wait was so short! Definitely plan to come back here.

Went in for a flat tire issue. Service was very prompt and staff is very honest & professional. Had several experiences in other places that just putting a plug into a flat tire took hours, in this shop it was done in 15min. Highly recommend.
