John is the most caring and empathetic therapists around. He makes you feel that he truly cares about your pain. His expertise shows through his work and I appreciate the clear explanation he provides with every step of my recovery. I couldn’t do any of the exercises without pain when I arrived. With the correct strengthening and stretching exercises I was able to heal. Now I’m pain free and do my at home exercises to stay that way. The receptionist, Kathy makes scheduling easy and doesn’t over book patients which allows John to give his all to you. She is a very friendly and competent receptionist. I highly recommend Rutherford Physical Therapy.

Rutherford is lucky to have such a wonderful Physical Therapist in town. Dr.John Talty is a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable physical therapist. I was recommended to John by a family member after I broke 2 bones in my shoulder. Best advice I ever took! John always listened to how I was feeling and tailored my therapy and exercises to my specific needs at each phase of my healing. As a result of John's expertise and pleasant manner, I made tremendous progress and always felt that John was doing his best for me. We are extremely pleased with care our mom has received. Mom was paralyzed after stroke, and a few months later she started walking again. John is great with the patients.Mom says, she didn’t think she was going to walk again but he helped her with getting her confidence back. He really is an exceptional physical therapist . I had a very positive experience with RPT. Must first mention that the place is very clean and and has a friendly or family like atmosphere. I suffer from shoulder and knee osteoarthritis and needed help to cope with if not reduce the pain I experience from my conditions. After a thorough evaluation, John had me follow a planned exercise regimen to help strengthen my legs and arms muscles in order to improve flexibility. I am glad to have chosen RPT for consultation and therapy. After a few weeks session, I was able to manage my day-to-day activities with ease and less pain. Those exercises really helped and I continue to follow them. Thanks to the team of John and Cathy. I will always highly recommend Rutherford Physical Therapy.

There are no words to express the greatest experience by this office. The staff working there is absolutely amazing. They do accomodate your schedule, they give you the best treatment ever, they treat you like you are their family member. Are always positive and you feel happy as soon as u step foot in there. I went here after having some pain affecting my running. John took the time to examine and explain what was happening, answered all my questions, and gave me plenty of rehab to keep up with at home so that hopefully pain free running continues. Cathy at the front desk was always wonderful to interact with and so welcoming, the office is very flexible to fit scheduling needs.

I highly recommend rutherford physical therapy.Dr John gave me a step by step plan and does not force me to do heavy exercise from the beginning..at first I started to lift a wood stick and at last I was able to lift 3 lbs dumbbells.whenever I felt too much pain, he offered an easier exercise. The office atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.Cathy is the nicest receptionist I have ever seen.Both John and Cathy are compassionate and caring. If your insurance is out of network,they can arrange it.But you should make sure your insurance company how to pay the bill because it took a while to figure out for me and had a bit trouble with the office. Other than that ,what a great physical therapy!

Very Professional approach, thanks a lot. I am very grateful to be your patient. Let me , however, be more specific. When I was , first , diagnosed with Parkinson's, I was in shock. John helped me with his attitude and expertise. He was optimistic and hard working at the same time, I never felt abandoned or left aside, John was always there to help me correct whatever I was doing wrong. Also, I knew he had a plan and every session was a part of this plan. I only attended his sessions for 2 month , unfortunately, I had to go overseas. I am doing his exercises every second day and I feel much stronger and much more confident. It is possible that I will find a physical therapist here, in Saxony, however I think that John's method and work may be to hard to achieve by anyone

I’ve received wonderful help from John, Emily, and Cathy (the entire staff) and attended physical therapy for about 8 months due to lower back pain. John was my main physical therapist, and he was the absolute best! He always caters his approach to the patient, and I always felt that my needs were heard and attended to. John’s extensive experience, encouragement, and positive mindset played a huge role in my recovery, and I will definitely be recommending him to my family and friends if they need a physical therapist in the future. I signed up with Rutherford Physical Therapy to treat a minor hip issue that was gradually getting worse. I had a wonderful experience right from the start, Emily is lovely and I truly felt listened to. After the first visit, my hip already started feeling better and she shared some great exercises that I was able to do at home, too. I visited the practice twice more during a 2-3 week period and shortly after my third visit, I was able to close my case since my hip became pain free. Highly recommend this place and all staff is so caring and lovely!

After my knee replacement surgery, I chose Rutherford PT for the necessary physical therapy. I found it to be a very friendly and relaxed environment. John and Emily are very professional and extremely knowledgeable at their craft! Cathy also gets honorable mention for being the happy, friendly force behind the front desk! My first session with Emily was just 5 days after my surgery, and with her kind and gentle way, my sessions became an enjoyable experience, rather than a chore! Next year, after my other knee is replaced, I plan on returning to Rutherford PT for the necessary physical therapy on that knee also! I highly recommended Rutherford Physical Therapy!!!!!!!

I am such a big fan of Rutherford Physical Therapy! I was having balance problems after falling twice and got too attached to using a cane. In addition to the physical therapy to improve my muscle strength, my therapist, Emily, helped me get my confidence back.
