Exactly as advertised. Perfect dive shop right on the beach: great dive masters, high quality gear, good mix of dive options, convenient to West Coast. Edwin, Sim and Lennie took great care of us and our kids, taking them through their final certification dives.

Best dive in Barbados so far! Edwin was a brilliant dive master, we felt so safe under his wing and he also made us feel relaxed which contributed to this being our best dive. Thanks to Edwin and the rest of the team. We’ll definitely be seeing you soon.

We booked the open water course dives for 2 with Hightide after completing the online and pool components in Canada. We sent our Padi information ahead of time and were asked to confirm once we were in Barbados. Unfortunately rough conditions / surge threatened to derail our plans but we were lucky with windows of good weather and spent 2 half-days with the Master Diver Trainer, Edwin. We had an absolute blast. The process was efficient, informative, and fun. Edwin’s sense of humour kept us on our toes. Equipment was ready for us, the dive boat is ready to go, the staff were helpful, safety was first. Re other recent reviews… I think if you expect perfect administration from a dive shop on a beach in Barbados… These guys are on the water all day. If your group is derailed and you rally each individual to leave a 1-star review… From my perspective as a new diver who has done a few dives around the world before finally getting licensed, these guys, and certainly Edwin, were very good at what they do. Definitely deserving of 5-stars.

We were diving by ourselves privately, but we asked if they rent life jackets out, to which they let us borrow two for free for as long as we wanted! I then asked if they rent flippers, but was disappointed by their 10USD price point for one hour, which seems extortionate. I had to leave my ID behind too, so they could be sure I'd return the flippers, which is standard practice. Staff were friendly though! They do take card payment.

Cannot give this place enough stars! We came with a group and the Hightide team helped us organize a full week of diving. We reached out in advance so we could communicate the number of divers and our certification levels. They even helped coordinate a surprise party on one of the dives. We felt so welcome and at home with these amazing people. Pros: Well maintained equipment Safety oriented dive practice with conservative, well trained guides Highly knowledgeable about local sites and currents Wide variety of dive options from deep and shallow wrecks to seahorse seeking and night diving Friendly staff Helped arrange transportation for us each day, including coordinating with our hotel Great value for the service Cons Honestly the only downside is not knowing how long it will be until I can dive here again

Great dive center in Barbados! We had a wonderful few days diving with Sim, Lenny and the rest of the crew. We booked a few months in advance, and had a group of divers of varying experience to wrangle, including 1 doing his open water certification and 2 that hadn’t dived in a while so needed a refresher. Edwin helped us arrange everything via email. Upon arrival, they helped us arrange transport from our resort down the coast. They had all the equipment we needed, each dive was wonderful and safe, and we had such a fun time hanging out with the crew. Will absolutely dive here again next time we are in Barbados.

Could not recommend these guys enough. Our instructor, Edwin, was amazing and made our first diving experience easy and fun. Very professional, very funny, all round unreal experience.

We enjoyed two magical dives with HighTide watersports. The team went out of their way to personalize our experience and I look forward to diving with them on our return to Barbados.

This week we dived few times with hightide dive center. The equipment provided was excellent quality, the staff is nice and very helpful. Good variety of dives sites which are not too far. Very convenient!

This place was an incredibly poor experience. The driver who picked us up was charming and polite but the good experience stopped once we arrived. The dive instructor was rude and treated us with contempt and followed that by not accepting a dive ‘fit to dive certificate’ from one of the top dive doctors in the UK (who specialises in dive medicals). I’ve dived several times before (in Mexico most recently). Such a pity as the chap who we spoke to the first day at the shop was also charming. Maybe the instructor was just having a bad day! But beware…
