On
May
18th
around
8:40
p.m,
I
visited
the
bar
with
a
companion
of
mine
because
he
saw
a
friend
of
his
inside
and
wanted
to
greet
her.
Originally,
we
were
going
on
the
beach
nearby
to
sit,
drink
alcohol
and
relax
so
we
bought
the
necessities
(alcohol,
juice
and
cups)
beforehand.
When
we
entered
the
bar,
the
receptionist
told
us
we
can't
take
outside
drinks
or
food
inside
and
we
understood
that.
We
are
not
unreasonable
people.
She
further
told
us
how
disrespectful
we
were
and
was
trying
to
accuse
us
of
bringing
drinks
in
the
establishment
for
our
"friends"
(to
avoid
paying).
We
tried
to
explain
several
times
that
that
wasn't
the
situation
but
she
refused
to
listen
regardless
of
our
defense
or
means
to
convey
our
apologies.
I
was
going
to
leave
but
my
friend
insisted
we
stay
and
asked
her
if
we
could
leave
our
things
with
her
instead.
She
accepted
them
but
was
very
upset.
A
couple
of
minutes
later,
she
came
to
me
and
asked
me
if
we're
going
to
buy
anything
to
drink.
I
told
her,
"No,
we're
good"
and
she
rudely
AND
pettily
replied,
"Oh,
because
you
already
brought
in
drinks".
Even
on
our
way
out,
she
kept
going
on
about
how
disrespectful
we
were.
I
have
no
complaint
about
the
restriction
of
outside
food
or
drinks
within
an
establishment.
If
you
go
to
any
other
establishment
in
Barbados
that
adheres
to
similar
restrictions,
they
kindly
say
no
entry
or
ask
you
to
put
it
away.
My
friend
and
I
were
not
there
as
customers
but
it
was
our
first
time
at
the
establishment
and
we
were
utterly
appalled
by
this
behaviour.
