These guys are simply the best on the coastline! If you are new to surfing and gonna catch your first wawes, Thushan and his team will guide you thru very professionally. They have huge experience in assisting beginners. If you look for surf guiding at Sri Lanka, they also have appropriate experience for that. Probably more important - these guys are very warm-hearted, generous and will never trick you! I know them more than 5 years already and every time we come to Sri Lanka first we go to this place!

The best surf school on the coast 🌊🏄‍♀️ My friends have been friends with the guys from Surf'n'lanka for a long time. I met this year and immediately went to an individual lesson. I am glad that I went to train with a coach. I didn’t know how to swim, so I was afraid to swim in depth, but Tushan promised that by the end of the vacation I would already be catching green waves. And so it happened. After a few lessons, I confidently got on the board and OMG: I learned to swim and go to depth without panic. Tushan is the best teacher I have ever met. Very understanding, patient and supportive. When I didn’t do well, he got upset with me, but every time he cheered me up 🥹💛 Now I can say that I can surf and very well! We had the very first class of surfing in our life in surf’n lanka. During 1st lesson we both managed to caught the wave and stand up on the surfboard. We are absolutely amazed by surfing and by our teacher who’s attitude and engagement made us feel safe and challenged. We truly recommend you this surf school.

We enjoyed our staying at camp and surfing lessons so much! Our host and teacher Manju was super friendly, helpful and kind. At his place you could really feel like you are the part of one huge surfing family. There are many foreigners at his place so you could also meet new people and make friends. Training were two times per day and lasted for at least 1,5 hours. Also great meals two times per day! I'd also like to thank our teacher Rohan that helped us to catch the green wave only on the 4th day! Surfnlanka teaches you quickly and carefully. If you really want to master surfing I would definitely recommend this camp. Choose season carefully because Christmas and NYE are super busy because of overcrowded beach. Thank you so much!

I can highly recommend the surf school! At Surfn Lanka I‘ve had the best surf lessons in Sri Lanka! I had most of my surf lessons with the owner of the surf school and I‘ve improved my surf skills a lot (Level: Between Intermediate | Advanced). It was a 1:1 surf session. He gave me important tips that helped me to understand HOW to improve my my surf skills and he explained the „WHY you have to do that“ that. If you practise your surf skills by yourself, you can also rent a surfboard there for a good price!

We had a 1.5h lesson with a positive and friendly teacher. He showed us the basics on the short and then we practised in the sea. In the water, he helped us get on the board and catch the right wave. We were able to stand on the board and ride the waves at the end of the lesson!

I had a 1.5 hour lesson with Ashan. The booking process with Manju was smooth and the lesson was a great time. It was my first go at surfing! Ashan is a lovely, patient and helpful instructor who gives great feedback to help you catch those waves and stay on the board longer. I briefly met Manju, the owner, who was very friendly and came to introduce himself. I highly recommend booking your surfing needs here! Every staff member was very friendly and welcoming. It has a great atmosphere as well as a great surfing experiencing.

Very good surfing school. It was our first experience, our trainer Ashan gave good explanations and always provided feedbacks about how to improve the technic. The prices were also good, when we were there the cost for couples were better than in other schools we looked, 1,5 hour lesson + 30 minutes self practice. Highly recommended.

If you really want to learn or improve your surfing, I highly recommend this school! All the teachers are very experienced and know exactly what they do and how to teach. Finding a good surfschool is not always easy but this is definitely one of them!

Great spot to surf &rent a board, cheaper than all the rest and the staff are very chilled. Nice spot to watch the locals surf at the end of the day too. Went back 4 times just because it was so easy

We recently had the pleasure of attending a surf’n Lanka surf school and I cannot recommend it enough! We have chosen the package deal that included a 1 hour 30 min morning surf lesson and approx 1 hour long evening time lesson. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about teaching us how to surf. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The school provided us with all the necessary equipment, including long-sleeve wetsuit tops, surfboards, and leashes, and made sure everything was in top condition. The lessons themselves were incredibly informative and fun. The instructor gave us clear and concise instructions on how to paddle, catch waves, and stand up on the board. He also provided helpful feedback and encouragement throughout the session. Overall, our experience at the surf school was fantastic. We have learned a lot, had a ton of fun, and felt confident and safe in the water. If you're looking to learn how to surf or improve your skills, I highly recommend surf’n Lanka surf school. The instructor is top-notch, the equipment is top-quality, and the experience is truly unforgettable.

Manju and his team are the best. Pleasant in communication, give a lot of advice, point out mistakes and how to fix them. I took more than 5 lessons with Manju, he told me about the theory, there was a lot of practice, I learned safety rules and etiquette. Their rental boards are very good, there are no defects, every time the board is rented, the wax is worked out.

Manju was the best surf instructor we ever had. We have been surfing in Costa Rica, Bali, Peru. But no one gave us as many incredibly helpful tips as Manju. If you have certain patterns in surfing that you want to get rid of, he gives you an answer to every question.

The Surf'n Lanka team is so great, kind and patience, their school is perfectly located at the amazing Weligama Beach. I improved my surfing in just a couple of days with their advise. I highly recommend taking classes with them!
