What a service in this hotel. Beyond expectation. Amazing staff. So helpful. A bit pricey but so worth it. Food is also so good. Anything we ordered for lunch breakfast or dinner I wanted to order again. Cocktails are super nice. I would love to come here again. Definitely!!!! And look at the views in this hotel. Unfortunately they advice for parents with kids not to hook this hotel, in fact kids less then 12 they don’t accept the reserve. I guess security reasons for the infinity pool. Other wise - one of the BEST hotels I have visited!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Malabar Hill, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. This exquisite villa exceeded all my expectations, providing a luxurious and memorable retreat. The highlight of Malabar Hill was undoubtedly the stunning villa itself. The design and decor were simply breathtaking, and the attention to detail was evident in every corner. The plunge pool was a delightful addition, offering a refreshing and private oasis to relax and unwind. It was truly superb, and I couldn't get enough of it. The staff, led by Eran and his team, were absolutely fantastic. They were not only attentive and professional, but also incredibly friendly and warm. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Eran and his team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Their personalized service and genuine hospitality made us feel special and well taken care of throughout our time at Malabar Hill. Speaking of service, it was exceptional in every way. The staff was prompt, efficient, and always ready to assist with any request or inquiry we had. Whether it was arranging transportation, suggesting local activities, or providing recommendations, they were knowledgeable and accommodating. The level of service provided truly enhanced our overall experience and made us feel pampered and valued as guests. The food at Malabar Hill was another highlight of our stay. The quality and taste of the dishes were outstanding. We had the pleasure of enjoying a floating breakfast, which was an absolute delight. The presentation, variety, and flavors of the breakfast spread were top-notch and undoubtedly the best I have ever experienced. Every meal we had at Malabar Hill was exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed the culinary delights prepared by the talented chefs. Overall, my experience at Malabar Hill was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself was stunning, the plunge pool was superb, and the service provided by Eran and his team was truly outstanding. The food was delicious, and the floating breakfast was a unique and memorable experience. I left Malabar Hill with cherished memories and a strong desire to return in the future. If you're seeking a luxurious and unforgettable retreat, I highly recommend Malabar Hill.

Spent the day here to enjoy the pool, restaurant, and views. The experience was 10/10 and a true 5 star experience! It is a very peaceful environment and the hotel is tastefully designed. The pool and views were stunning! Most importantly, the food was perfection! I ordered: panko squid, chicken salad, twice cooked pork belly, grilled lobster, and for dessert, the chocolate cake slice. Absolutely no complaints! The staff is also very hospitable and treated us very well. We will be back! Photos attached for reference.

Stunning place with great design and landscape. We were staying at Malabar Hills with my girlfriend and it was the time full of peace and serenity. The view from cabana was charming. It’s worth noticing that the place is surrounded by a lot of beautiful birds which are always around and you can see them very close. Big thanks to the staff of the place to be invisible and highly professional. I can do nothing but recommend this place to stay if you’re looking for something high standard, beautiful and calm.

Eran and his team's hospitality were unmatched. Truly a wonderful experience that should not be left out during your stay in Sri Lanka. We've been all over the world, it's really hard to offer the best service, ambiance, accomodation and food under one entity. These guys nailed it. Kudos to the owners who whole heartedly worked on this beautifully architected experience inside out. 👏🏼

First visit to the hotel. Staff were very kind and gave us a quick tour before seating us at the restaurant for our Christmas dinner meal. Lots of choice on the menu and service was impeccable. The hotel is beautifully designed using local materials. Even at night the views and sounds of nature are calming. I must return during daylight hours!

Staying at the Malabar Hill is the sort of experience that is so wonderful, so perfect in every way, that it's tempting not to leave a review in case the hotel becomes too well known and the magic is diminished. The staff are, without exception, outstanding and there is nothing about the rooms, the restaurant or the situation that could be improved (well apart from the Marriott Hotel that blots the landscape in the far distance).

Our stay at malibar hill was perfection. The entire resort is stunning and the food is unbelievable, the best we've had in Sri Lanka. What makes the resort though is the staff, everyone was so friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for you. I genuinely cannot think of any faults or room for improvement. We didn't want to leave.

We stayed at Malabar Hills last week and it is one of the nicest places we have stayed at, and are super lucky to have stayed in many fabulous hotels. From the second that we got to the hotel and whisked to our room everything was perfect. The room is so much more than just a room. It has 16ft ceilings, with doors that open out completely onto our own plunge pool. The decor is simple but luxurious and with such surroundings you wouldn't want more. The service is discreet but friendly, and never snobby! The food is completely delicious, modern and interesting. We hopefully will be back at a later date!

The best resort I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been to a lot of places on this beautiful planet! The food was out of this world (breakfast was wow) with the freshest produce…extensive wine list, unreal and uninterrupted views from all angles with stunning swimming pools. Words can’t describe how serene and luxurious this boutique hotel is! If you want nature and complete disconnect this is the place to choose yet only a 10min toktok ride to a beautiful surfing beach…staff were there 24/7! And the list goes on…Sri Lanka is a gem along with its people…

This is a really special hotel. The setting is fantastic - peaceful and set apart, with fabulous views from all sides of the property across 'valleys' and to the sea. The staff are wonderful and so warm and friendly. They create a really relaxing environment where nothing is too much! The managers were extremely gracious and always took the time to talk to the guests and check in on everything. Rooms are large and beautifully laid out so you can be comfy inside and outside on the terrace - either way enjoying the views and your private pool night and day.

Malabar Hill is an extraordinary place which has placed itself at the top of my most memorable stays. Located atop a hill, spectacular views stretch over cinnamon plantations and paddy fields to the sea. From a delightful villa we watched a pair of endemic Ceylon Green Pigeons. Attention to detail and thoughtful touches are everywhere from the design of the villas to the helpful staff, from the Moroccan style arches and terracotta tiles that blend in with elegant Indian wood panels. The meals were delicious; freshly prepared, artistically plated. The extensive menu included lamprais (fantastic!) , fresh seafood, a wonderful passion fruit jam and sourdough bread. A big thank you to the dynamic GM Sanjiva, chef Romesh, and the whole Malabar team.

We came to Malabar to spend a day at the pool and have dinner. The most beautiful and extremely peaceful location! The service and food are also outstanding. It’s 100% worth the way, the effort and the prices. An experience on its own even if just for a few hours. Especially recommended to enjoy the sunset drink on the terrace - magical!

Our last restaurant visit in Sri Lanka tour turned out to be an adventure into the jungle and a treat to our senses: breathtaking views, magnificent landscaping and interior decor and almost perfect food presentation. The drive to Weligama was treacherous, to say the least, but once we got there, no time was enough to explore the premises. A special shout-out to the General Manager Mr. Eran Gamage and his most attentive staff. I came back with lasting memories of Malabar Hill. Thank you!

My husband and I celebrated a belated honeymoon at Malabar and it was one of the most exceptional experiences we’ve had. The location is perfect - tucked away in the hills so you can enjoy some true serenity, but close enough to explore the beaches nearby. The grounds are idyllic - from the architecture to the natural landscaping to the open air restaurant with amazing views. What made this stay truly perfect, though, was the staff. Rarely have we come across a team that was so professional, attentive and on top of every single detail. They made everything look easy and seamless but we know how hard they must work behind the scenes to make that happen. Each staff member took the time to talk to us and get to know us throughout our stay, which allowed them to predict our needs and proactively take care of us. Each one of them was so personable and warm, we felt like we were part of a special little community. We would love to return some day.

Just incredible! We stayed at Malabar for the first part of our honeymoon and loved everything about our stay. The rooms and views are stunning, the food is soo good, probably the best pool I’ve ever swam in, and last but not least the team was amazing, made us feel so welcome and special. Thanks everyone!

My Fiancé chose Malabar Hills for our proposal, and I must say he couldn’t have chosen any better than he did. It’s Undoubtedly one of the most serene and romantic locations I’ve been to in Sri Lanka. The staff was incredibly supportive and went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible experience. The food was delectable and certainly out of the ordinary. So grateful to have spent such a special day at this stunning location.

I wanted to share my overall impressions of my recent stay at your hotel. Overall, I must say that my experience was exceptional and exceeded my expectations in several ways. From the moment I arrived, the welcoming and attentive staff made me feel valued as a guest. The check-in process was efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly, professional, and eager to assist. Their warm hospitality set a positive tone for my entire stay. I also want to commend the hotel's dining options. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the variety of choices ensured there was something for everyone. The restaurant staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent service.

Malabar Hill is a very special place with breathtaking views everywhere including from your room, the staff are so friendly and there for you for whatever you need, and the food was delicious. We didn’t want to leave but we will definitely be back next time and just want to thank Malabar Hill for the memorable holiday we had! Highly recommend everyone to come stay here when they visit Sri Lanka!

A Marvelous destination with the sea view and the forest view. And unique architecture with the delicious meals. Happy to travel there with my wife.

Malabar Hill was the single nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in over 20 countries. Sanjiva, the General Manager, was an exceptional host and the attention to detail was impeccable. Some thoughts: 1. The food was outstanding, including Vietnamese Beef Stew, beautifully presented selection of beets, passionfruit jam with homemade sourdough and an impressive assortment of desserts from berry cheesecake ice cream to coconut pannacotta. 2. The views of the ocean and surrounding nature were spectacular across the hotel. 3. The staff were responsive and helpful at all levels, continually accommodating our requests. 4. The main pool was a pleasure to swim in, fresh because of the natural saltwater chlorination and had a fabulous view of the sea. I have a small number of minor quibbles but these would give a false impression of a fantastic experience. I warmly recommend this to other visitors and would happily have stayed for a week rather than two nights. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nobody is answering the phone. I now have tried calling 20 times and messaged as well to modify my booking, but no one is responding. Highly skeptical about our stay that we have booked.

What a fantastic place to finish our trip of Sri Lanka. The staff here are incredible and make you feel at ease as soon as you enter the premises. The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning with a good sized plunge pool overlooking the paddy fields. You feel at ease and relaxed right away and we highly recommend Malabar Hill. The chef was kind enough to come and speak to us and make us food off the menu and that was another brilliant touch that we weee not expecting. All the staff from the reception to management are interested in your plans and suggest different ideas to plan your day. You are only about 10 mi it’s away from different beaches down at the coast so you are close enough to that and far enough for a bit of tranquility. Malabar hill is a fantastic way to start or end your Sri Lankan itinerary and we will definitely stay again!

Absolutely beloved place in the whole Sri Lanka. Perfectly trained personnel, exceptional foods, relaxing rooms, well planned and looked after territory. Thanks to all the team for making my stays so memorable and changing my whole life. Good luck and all the best to the property and the team!

Some might argue the place is too expensive. During my stay here with my wife, it was an unique experience, food were exquisite. If you feel like too expensive, don't visit to this place and make negative comment on the hotel. It's how they run the business, we have to respect it. A lot of people would like to go for expensive places to have their own privacy, and this is one of the best places to enjoy a vacation with privacy. I like the place a lot because of its calming atmosphere, service, food and very unique architecture which is perfect for photography.

Definitely the best hotel and restaurant in the whole South of the island. Close to perfection, no faux pas, just peace, calm and classy luxury. Not to mention the attention of the staff for your comfort.

One of the most spectacular properties in the south, was fortunate enough to spend Christmas Eve this year at Malabar. The ambience and surroundings of the hotel were the beyond expectation. Eran and the team were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Definitely looking forward to staying with you again!
