Our overall stay was spoiled by 2 facts. For our 7 days stay we were supposed to pay 589$, I wanted to pay by card and was told that it will be a 3% fee, I accepted the fee and I expected to pay around 607$. There was a conversion in LKR and after I payed and looked in my account I was shocked to discover that I actually payed around 700$. I imediately complained about this realising that the exchange rate was "creative". I was told that the exchange rate that I am seeing online is not the correct one as the Sri Lankan Goverment has a different rate for hotels. The next day I complained to another employee who told me the same lie. I have stayed in Sri Lanka in total in 7 diffent hotels in this period and in all cases the price was in USD and NEVER was the exchange rate so outrageus. The owner casually told me that I should pay in cash in USD next time. I believe this is a scam and I feel that money was stolen from me. After beeing scamed, I noticed that my kitched did not have a gas tank for the stove. I asked for one and was told that I need to pay extra. Again, I believe it is unaccetable to book a room with a kitchen and have to pay extra for gas. It is as if you book a hotel room and they charge you for the water or electricity you use. On the website it is advertised "strong Wifi" and we booked this place because we wanted to work from there. In reality, the wifi was not strong and the owner said that they only offer wifi "to check emails and small things". Eventually they helped us to buy a 4G rooter (we payed for it extra). The room is spacious and equiped with a small kitchen. Each villa has 2 appartments, we stayed on the ground floor and at times we could hear our neighbours. It is not very well isolated. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom could have used a bit of maintence but overall it was a comforable room. The villas are in a beautiful garden that is well maintained and there is a pool that was not very clean. The water was cloudy and sandy. Even if the place looks ok, I was utterly dissapointed by the attitude of the staff and I feel scammed hance the 1 star.

Spent a month here with my family in January, out of our 3 months on Sri Lanka in 2023. The place itself is quite good and comfortable, but the management here is something to be aware of. When we booked our apartments, we asked for a family room with extra-bed for the kid. Once we checked in, it appeared, that the extra-bed they could give us for free, was a baby cot, which is only good for 2-3 years old kids. We have 2 kids: one 6 months, who sleeps with mother, and one 5-years old, who appeared to be just too big for that baby cot. When we asked for a normal bed, they said it's going to cost us 10 USD per day - 300 USD per month just for an additional bed! Ridiculous. Our 5-years old ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. When our first month was coming to an end, we were seriously considering to prolong our stay, but when we asked about it, the manager said that the next month was going to cost us +20% more, and that they already had someone else, ready to book at this price, BUT, if we pay 20% more, than we can have this room for another month. After that, we just packed our stuff and got ready to leave. The next day, when we were about to leave, they came to us, and said, like "OK, you can stay for the same price". That looked so desperate, I almost felt sorry for them. Luckily, we had already found another place, which was twice as cheaper, and had been happy to move there. I base my rating of this on 2 factors: 1. The place itself (rooms, location, etc) - "5" 2. The management - "1". If you come here, be ready that those people will try to rip you off any chance they get. Overall rating - "3".

Outwardly, a beautiful villa, but the staff is disgusting, and we were convinced of this immediately on the day of settlement, when, after the agreed amount for accommodation and making an advance payment, we were told that the amount was more than the original and that we needed to pay extra, and since we were already on the territory with our things and we urgently needed to find housing, we had to agree, which we later regretted very much. The lies did not stop there, the owners of the villa promised that the generator would work every day, but they never turned it on, and then they took it away altogether, arguing that they needed to save money. They promised free, stable and fast Internet, but this turned out to be a lie: the Internet constantly disappeared, and as soon as the traffic ended, the owners began to demand a fee for renewal. They promised that there would be a new bottle of gas in the kitchen, but even here they deceived, the gas ran out in just a couple of days and at the request to renew the bottle, the owners demanded an amount three times higher. The same applies to washing, the price is one, but in fact they require more, while the quality of washing is terrible. But the most interesting thing was a few days before check out, when we discovered that cash had been stolen from us, after talking with neighbors, it turned out that they also had money stolen in different amounts. And at our request to look into the problem, the owners just laughed in our face. There can be only one conclusion here, the villa is beautiful from the outside, but rotten inside. And if you do stay in this terrible place, take care of your money and be prepared for the worst attitude from the owners

I had originally left a 2* review and now 11 months later, management is trying to suggest I didn't even stay there. I absolutely did, and now that we're here and I'm updating this review, I'd like to go ahead and reduce my rating to 1*. - The WiFi was driven off of mobile networks on prepaid plans that weren't topped up, so data didn't work. - I arrived on a Saturday for a 2 day stay, then was told on Sunday that I was supposed to move units. Nobody had informed me of that at check-in, so I changed accommodations completely. - Their recordkeeping is quite poor.

Beautiful new villas. Well designed and quality accommodation with great air conditioning, kitchen facilities and large comfortable king bed. Pool was also prefect for a relaxing afternoon dip. Breakfast each day was cooked fresh and varied slightly each time. Staff were extremely helpful, all round we've been really satisfied.

Amazing place with awesome rooms/appartments. The owner and staff was really helpful. We stayed with our one year old child and they had everything we needed for him. Its also close to great surf spots and restaurants. Can warmly recommend this place!!

Where do I begin!! We stayed early September for two nights and we were the only guests then. This place has 5 villas ( 10 double rooms altogether). 5 rooms are delux doubles and 5 are superior rooms with jacuzzi's. Each room is ensuite and equipped with a kitchenette, free wi-fi, and there's a shared pool for the villas. It's a great chilled out location to spend good time with your loved ones, I'd say it's a romantic getaway from the hussle and bustle of touristy weligama. And if you fancy the beach it's just few minutes on foot! There are many surf schools in walking distance, and there's a nice turtle conservation you can visit in habaraduwa ( about a 20 min drive from the villas). Also, Mirissa isn't too far away for whale watching. They didn't have a particular menu when we there, but they'd cook whatever we requested. We requested for Sri Lankan breakfast and grilled fish for dinner, the food was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good too. The resort is managed by the lovely couple Wasantha and Yamuna. They'd always check up on us to make sure we were doing well. We were looked after by Sumith. He was a great assistant who took attention to detail. Also I simply cannot forget the lovely dog Rex, he was one beautiful obedient dog! He was friendly and liked to be petted. All of this gave us a holiday to remember for a long long time! If I come back here I know where I'll stay!

Amazing ! <br/>We stayed there for 3 nights to enjoy the south of Sri Lanka and this place was absolutely perfect !<br/>The room was spacious and really clean; with an amazing view in the swimming pool ! <br/>The breakfast was really good and you can even enjoy massages; pool or even yoga class.<br/>You can as well rent scooter if you want to visit the coast; and it's really easy and quick to go to Mirissa; or the different nice spots Sri Lanka can offer.<br/>Shan and Toni helped us a lot ; making special lists for where to travel and where to stop eating ! <br/>Definitely one or our best memories in Sri Lanka !

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Away from stressy Weligama center. Very clean and tidy facility. Nice pool and perfect to relax. Apartments are well equipped and have everything to make the stay comfortable.

Beware! The rooms are ok. The place looks nice, although located a bit far from the main road. We called the place beforehand, asked about the price for a family room and tried to bargain for a longer period. On the phone the price was 30$ (9230 rupees). When I requested the price in rupees the lady said 13,000! We talked and agreed on 9000 a day, and I told her we were on our way with 2 kids. After we drove there, they put one extra child bed in the room, and demanded 10$ more per night for the bed 😡 To top that, we asked about the wifi, and they asked if we're working, cause if so, they charge extra for it 😡😡 In short, I would avoid this place at all costs, cause I can't stand being lied to.

Hi all! very chic, cozy and lovely hotel. excellent location. calm and quiet. lived for about 3 months. very kind and understanding hostess of the hotel Yamuna. I recommend to everyone.
