The best hostel I've stayed in with the best owner, felt more like a shared house than a hostel!!!

Extended my stay 4 times and couldn’t be happier about it. The hostel feels like one big family! From hostel dinners, joined surf sessions or nights out, it’s always fun when Mahesh, the owner, and the hostel family come together! Stayed in quite a few hostels/guesthouses in Sri Lanka, and this one by far is my favorite and felt most like home away from home! Greetings and see you again soon, Sarah!☺️

Very nice hostel! Mainly for the social and the host, he was very kind! First hostel I’ve stayed at with a really nice social vibe, you can all go for food, do surfing and activities together. We had a fire and swam in bioluminescent plankton! Truly such an incredible memory. The beds have mosquito nets, there’s lock boxes for your belongings, friendly dogs, charging points, Wi-Fi, a guitar to use, a kitchen (I didn’t use it though) and good vibes all around. The shower head was broken but taking a shower was still fine, nice cold water :) The social area is great for them late night deep talks 😄. Mahesh the host also makes his own kombucha which is super cool! Thank you 🙏 ❤️😀

The best place in Sri Lanka. Really feels like home away from home and Mahesh (owner) is one of the sweetest and kindest person you will ever meet! so many great memories with amazzzing people here ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely loved my stay at Wake up!! Such an amazing, friendly & cozy atmosphere and the best host you can ask for. He’s always there to help and organizes fun activities. Already miss this place!!

Lovely intimate hostel. Mahesh is the cutest host ever. Forever organizing and looking after you. Homemade kombucha and cheap beer! Highly recommend this hostel slightly out of the hustle and bustle of weligama city! 🤗

I loved this hostel. So friendly and relaxed it feels like home. The location is perfect, a 2 minute walk from the surfing beach and just out of the city where it’s quiet. Mahesh is always planning fun activities which everyone is welcome to join. Would definitely recommend

Fantasic hostel. Out of all hostels I visited in 4 months, this one felt the most like home. Mahesh, the owner, is super friendly and organized many activities: from dinner on the beach to parties in the surrounding towns. I love this hostel, definitely recommended!

Nice chill vibe and friendly stuff. My fav is vegan fried rice. Its really good.

The best place to come free and its owners are a good man at heart

It was home not it was like home. I feel like im at home. You can cook and you can hang out with guest also even with host. I recommend this guest house to stay long. I will definitely come again when i will come again to weligama. Good to stay here!
