Such a good food! The vinaigrette of the salad was a dream, everything was fresh, the fish was so delicious. If you are looking for a good restaurant in this area, then you are right here. The location is a bit hidden, but I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere far away from the street. At these day/moment I was the only person there, what feels a bit strange. But it is off-season now. The neighbor's dog was a bit annoying in the moment I arrived. The woman from the house next to the restaurant called for the family, because the door was first closed. So, be not shy when you are there and it seems like it's closed. Make noises - it is worth it.

Chef Akila and his family are just the sweetest hosts ever. They serve amazing food in their backyard after their restaurant at the beach burned out. I highly recommend this place. Great people, amazing food and a good atmosphere!

A lovely Chef, fantastic food and a sad story.. Akila and his son nearly survived a gas explosion at his previous restaurant. Now he is rebuilding his own restaurant and cooks at his house for guests. Had an amazing lunch here and will come back.

Everything is great. Want to give special mention for the salad which is beautiful with shredded leaves, julienne veg and a fantastic dressing. A tasty fresh salad is something I hadn't found in Sri Lanka until now. 😋

Akila's kitchen is something amazing. It was the best seafood i have ever tried in my life. Everything is delicious and tasty. Akila is very kind and hospitable. I immediately warn you that the portions are unrealistically large (because Akila wants to make happy everyone of his guests), plus you'll get a lot of additions to the main dish. And it's all incredibly delicious!!! We was at Akila's three times and every time we were imbued with the atmosphere and food.

The best food you will get in sri lanka!! Akila is an amazing host and an even greater chef who cooks out of his private home because his restaurant in weligama was destroyed by an explosion. He and his oldest son were in the building when it exploded and are happy to be alive. It‘s definitely a must visit if you are looking for great authentic food! The fish and the curry are mindblowing!

Awesome place, finally somewhere quiet when you want to rest of the noise of weligama. I knew his place before on the cliff, the food is as good as before, the vibes are the same. I strongly recommend going there for a moment of chill and good food at reasonable price.

Where should I start? Driving into a quiet neighborhood, not expecting this at all. Best singalese food we’ve had in the whole country. Akila is ao unbelievably sweet. Sitting at his place, eating his delicious food and having a chat with his family will be an everlasting memory. We hope that he can reopen his restaurant one day.
