Although this casual restaurant located along the beach in a similar fashion to the many other stands. The food quality was a little disappointing. Even though the raw ingredients were fantastic and extremely fresh, the only cooking method is where all the ingredients are boiled in a pot and not changed between dishes. They are then quickly fried after being boiled with some soy sauce and spices. This results in cuttlefish being chewy and not infused with much flavor. The whole fish also became overcooked and not much flavor was infused within.

Very good attraction to Waligambay area, you can buy fish, cuttlefish, crab or any seafood from local market (10m away). This location prepared those for you. Taste good, reasonable price different experience. And love it.

Recommend! Friendly and not pushy. We are fairly cautious about sanitation/freshness of food and they keep their catch in ice in boxes rather than display out in the heat! Fresh and preparation was excellent. We ate here twice. Highly highly recommend.

Got nice fresh fish, 2 huge lobsters 🦞 - very nicely prepared, actually we did not expect such a tasty meal. All if this, feet in the sand. Great Great place

I don’t think I’ve ever had fresher and better fish. The price is really convenient and the quality is amazing. You choose your own fish and then locals will cook it to perfection.

Fisherman's Father is a beachside restaurant that serves decent quality seafood! First time we went there, the food was good and we were amazed by the freshness and flavour of the dishes. Amazed at the quality, we went there a second time the next day. The main cook (the father) wasn't around, and the seafood was not as nice nor as fresh. Tip: do make sure the father is the main cook!!

The fish was perfect! You can choose your fish on the market behind the restaurant and they will prepare it for you. Ask for French fries. I think it was the best fish i ate!

We had an excellent meal at Fisherman Father last night - prawns, lobsters, red snapper and calamari all very fresh and cooked very well. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend!
