Extreme dissatisfied with the room. The pillows are not normal pillows and are infact cushions, like a normal pillow was cut in half and the quilt too is cut in half and doesn’t cover you fully. I don’t know what the idea behind that was. The towels and the bed sheets are filthy and had brown stains on them which I found disgusting. Even after complaining about the pillows and the sheets no one did anything to rectify it. And not to forget the million mosquitoes in your room. If you’re in Ahangama I DO NOT recommend this place. Udaya, who was at the Villa tried his best to attend to the above complaints however the Manager- Thanuja after promising to attend to the above did nothing and did not check or follow up in anyway. We understand that things can go wrong but being ignored by the Manager is simply not acceptable.

Our stay at W15 Escapes was anything but pleasant. We checked-in to the hotel on a Friday evening, and was taken to a dirty room. The pillowcases were torn, the headboard was stained, and their were bugs on the bed. The bathroom, unfortunately was no better - the sink was full of bugs, the paint on the toilet seat was peeling and there was no hot water. As it was quite late night, we had no choice but to continue to stay there. The next morning we explained our situation to the staff, who kindly offered us a new room. This was marginally better but had the same issues. No hot water, no proper towels and bugs on the bed. I understand that this property is undergoing renovation soon, but that cannot be an excuse for this kind of experience. It was advertised as a five star hotel, but was anything but. Additionally, the breakfast menu had a range of options, but what was served was very basic, with half of the promised accompaniments on the menu, missing. I understand that these are difficult times for everyone, but this is not the type of place I would recommend staying at.

⚠️stay safe⚠️ The location is beautiful as seen on the pictures… However the experience slowly died down waiting a minimum of an hour for a club sandwich. Then getting into the shower as much as it’s a beautiful and open air. The floor was very smooth even felt like it was polished and knew it would be dangerous when damp and yet while getting down the big stairs to the shower i still slipped and ended up under the wash basin lucky I got out with minor injuries. (Take a towel and place it on the floor) stay safe! Finally when I woke up in the morning i noticed a bad decomposing like smell. I later found it was the bed side area had been bleached and not cleaned out well and my shorts had got bleached out and lost its color!!! This made me VERY UPSET as it could have been my expensive clothes if I had placed it there. I had no way to speak to anyone when checking out at 530am there was no one on site just a security guy. And later management just apologies as it were a minor issue… if we had kids and they had touched the surface and wiped there eyes it could have got very bad. This is in no way acceptable to have active bleach laying around in rooms. See images attached.

loved this place, Great location, really lovely rooms, attentive staff! The restaurant is good and it’s a great spot for a cocktail at sunset. Would highly recommend. Amazing place, atmosphere was excellent. Food was fabulous.Clean rooms.Everything exceeded our expectations since we’ve arrived to the hotel.

We booked the enire villa for a family vacation over the weekend. While the place is lovely, there has been NO maintenance of the property. 1. No curtains in the room 2. Lights were burnt-out in the garden and pool area. The management only attended to these after our first night of stay. 3. There are also very large mosquitoes during the evenings and the villa didnt have any burners, coils or mosquito spray. We had to rush to town and purchase these items. 4. We shared a menu two weeks prior to our booking and were given an approximate figure for ration. Unfortunately. the actual bill was 60% more than the budget indication. We didnt change a single dish on the menu. Also, we had to go the supermarket 4 times during our 2 night stay as the cook kept ad-hocly informing us of items he needed. 5. Last but not the least, the food was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! We requested for a complete Sri Lankan menu because how can Sri Lankan's get there own food wrong!?! But trust me, the food in the villa proved us wrong! Also, the security, gardner, pool cleaner, house keeping were NOT wearing masks and we had to keeptaking precautions when they were round.

Very clean and spacious rooms. The bathroom was very clean and we loved the real hot Shower. A place to relax. You can see the beach from the garden. The Hotel is about 20 min away from Weligama but with an Tuc Tuc no problem. We can definitley recommend this Hotel.

Good place to spend your weekend away from the busy work days. Great long pool mice, cosy big rooms love the white ambience. If they can put glass to the bathrooms instead of polithine covers, it would've been much better.. Will definitely go back. They have very Polite staff as well

The location is great. The view is amazing. It has a beautiful and huge pool/garden area. The staff are also both friendly and helpful. The place definitely has a nice ambience. It's a true gem.

We stayed here for 5 nights, it was very quet, peaceful atmosphere,which was very pleasent to us; Not crowded at all, seemed like we rented the own villa for us with a huge and nice pool. It is not European level 5 star but it is quite nice. The only thing was the food quality, which we recommend hotel to improve.

Eventhough the architecture is beautiful the cleanliness is so poor. We stayed at the no. 2 garden suite where it was so disgusting to see the uncleaned bedsheets and pillow cases. There were hair in the pillow cases which clearly shows that the hotel hasn't removed after the previous guests departure. That was a horrible experience. Then the towels to curtains were very dirty. Also the straw of the juice which i was served had stains inside and had to ask to change then and there. Overall we did not experience a good service from the hotel and will not recommend either.

Beautiful and a quiet place for a family vacation But it seems like the management has totally failed to maintain the place. The curtains were super dirty, the towels were not laundered well, the cups not cleaned, and it seemed like they were missing out totally from a cleanliness point of view The hotel staff had no uniform or dress code, where they were walking about in shorts and casual T shirts.. and we were not even sure if these were hotel staff or some visitors to the place The room did not have sufficient tea/ coffee, and when requested, we were told that there was no sufficient stock available. It's a shame that the management has missed out on details pertaining to a guests stay but only considered the external look and feel

Nice and calm location. We visited with friends and family. This is small but nice location. The staff is polite and supportive. They tried to provide us the service as much as possible, though there are few areas to be improved. Rooms are clean and nicely arranged. Bathroom should be improved, specially the curtains. No TV available. Swimming pool is small but well maintained. There is no kiddies pool available. Nicely maintained garden. They could improve the Sri Lankan breakfast, but the English breakfast is up to the expectation. Good place to relax with your family.

Booked this properly based on their beautiful photos and it ended up being a nightmare. Arrived here tired and ready to relax, only to find an empty eerie place with dirty, disgusting rooms. The place looks nothing like the photos. Dirty and stained bedroom and bathroom floors. Curtains and bed linen were stained. Both the bathroom and bedroom were full of bugs. Upon calling the manager he offered to switch us to a different room, which also turned out to be the exact same only with a musty smell. All the rooms we looked at were exactly the same: rundown, dirty and poorly maintained. We had to keep calling the manager who offered us a room at another one of their properties for well above the rate we paid for this room. We ended up taking that room and paying a lot more than we expected to. Not sure why this hotel is still operating and even more so as to how they are charging over 100$.

This is a very nice place with delicious breakfast. With its Inner-Garden it is quite and beautiful. They were very open to our wishes and very friendly. To put the previous comments in the right context I think you need to know that Sri Lanka had a difficult time just last Easter and bookings all over the island drop to zero. Understandable that as a Hotelowner it is difficult to maintain a less booked hotel directly after. When we were here there were plently of friendly staff.

Made a last minute reservation for a spontaneous weekend trip and it turned out to be one of the best! Beautiful location surrounded by greenery and amazing food! The villa is conveniently located two minutes away from the beach. If you’re looking for a nice and quiet place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you’ve come to the right place..

Very poor hygiene conditions. The room we stayed in had unhygienic pillows and sheets with big stains in them and smelled as though sheets were not changed. The bath towels provided were not fresh and had brown stains on them and were changed after pointing it to the staff. The fridge was not cleaned out after the previous customers to the villa who stayed. They had mouldy pizza, drinks and few open chocolates inside them. The water bottles were mouldy on the inside in the bottle cap and tasted like tap water. The shower area had fluffy worn out curtains and were placed outside with lack of privacy to the neighbours who had visibility to the shower/toilet making it very uncomfortable. There are no toilet accessories, so bring your own. The pool had broken and sharp tile edges making it unsafe for kids. The dining area had a steep fall surrounding it with no ledge and was unsafe for families with small children. Even though the staff tried their best to accommodate us comfortably, the property manager too agreed that the facilities were below par and mentioned he joined very recently. All-in-all, absolutely not worth the money spent on the place and we cut short our booking to one-night due to the horrible hygiene conditions and poor maintenance of the place.

We loved our short stay here. So peaceful and calm- just what we needed during a busy week. We went out for cafes and restaurants near by most of the time-as the location was ideal- there was no hassle. Would come again!

We traveled as a group and occupied all 7 rooms at the property. The service at the hotel was excellent, Sarath, Dushmantha and the chef were very accommodating with our requests. The property was value for money, however some of the facilities at the property were dated, but with the scheduled refurbishment this should be a great accommodation option in Ahangama.
