No kettle No towel hanger No towel No shower head No safe No air conditioning No hairdryer Waited 8 hours to get the room ready. We were sitting in the room for 3 hours while they were fixing it. After we requested for a concession on price, the lady Madhu who runs the place was very unprofessional in her response and told us that if we didn't like it that we could go somewhere else. " If you don't like my hotel, you can go somewhere else." Those were her exact words. This is also the first review I have ever done. So you can imagine I was super unsatisfied. This is my experience, not saying that you should or should not come here. They did go out of their way to make amends after being disrespectful. Still didn't change my mind about how the customer service was. [

Very large nicely designed room with NON-working TV. Poor wifi. Attached is an enormous! balcony with a table, chairs, and vegetation. All beautiful. However, the balcony has no drainage so when it rains, water gathers to a long-standing puddle. Attention should also be paid to 🦟mosquito🦟 habitation to eliminate the standing water in poolside planters. The swimming pool is wonderful with umbrellas and comfortable loungers. Big plus! Staff and management are very kind and efficient with requests. Location👍. Hotel is in woody habitat, a short dirt road walk to the dusty and noisy main road. Cross it to Mirissa Beach for food 🍻 and swimming ⛱️ fun.

The first hotel with no generator I see here. For 66 USD per night... Not worth it. And no one at the reception... It looks like an abandonned hotel....

Great location in Mirissa, tucked away from the main street with a short 5 min walk to the beach. Modern complex with a beautiful pool at the front. No parking for vehicles but they were able to assist with the luggages, going up the stairs. Upon entering our room noted that the air-conditioning was not turned on and the room was therefore quite stuffy. We wanted to have a shower as we'd been travelling for 5 hours, unfortunately they had run out of hot water. While debating our predicament, there was a power cut which lasted about half an hour. Not a great start to our first night. Some of the plug points did not work and there was no phone to contact reception, which involved multiple trips out of the room. Manager was very apologetic the following morning and moved us in to a functioning room upstairs. Day two went without any hiccups, except for the water cut in the evening where the water completely shut down midway through our toddler's shower. It took about an hour or so for it to return. The staff at the property are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are modern and spacious. However, we would've enjoyed the stay a lot more had it not been for the issues with the property that kept propping up. It looks like the property needs further QA checks to bring it up to scratch. If you are not too fussed this property would serve you well. Price we paid was not cheap, so we expected more.

Very specious room with a super comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious. Nice view of palm trees from the balcony. Huge pool. The hostess and her staff were very nice and friendly. The location is super close to the beach and other attractions, restaurants and bars.

This place was very nice and comfortable! We extended our stay here for several days because of its location and good service ☀️ The design of our room was very classy, as well as the bathroom. The pool was also a great place to chill. Breakfast was incredible, you had so much to chose from! From fruits, bread, cake, pancakes, string hoppers... ✨ I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

Guests are always trying to find some defects in the property, so it's up to the management to avoid such situation in the hotel. Especially when the guest asking to visit every inch of the property, the management should be careful to allow the guest to visit areas where even a small defect available. Though the property is good with better hospitality and food, there is a greater impact on rating, when they find out a defect in that.

An absolutely beautiful & lovely hotel to stay at. I have never been so loved and cared for by the staff. This is a family run hotel who make you feel right at home. Top level hospitality. They went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Even when I became under the weather, one staff went out and brought/prepared me a tea pot of hot lemon and ginger water. And make sure you try out their restaurant ‘The Roti Shop’ across the way. Lovely home cooked food :)

Amazing stay at Ballena Regency Mirissa. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of food options even for vegetarians. The service is efficient and the staff responsive and kind at all times. The swimming pool are brilliant and it's definitely a good place to a quiet comfortable stay. The views from the place are breathtaking and couldn't recommend more this place for a nice holiday alone or with family ❤

Odd experience. Not terrible but seemed as if the hotel was only 95% finished. Raw timber skirting, holes in the wall and all seemed a little unfinished. Staff were friendly and eager to help, but had little training and not quite sure what they were doing. Rooms were large and bathrooms were nice but just needed some finishing touches. Lovely pool area.

Most awesome breakfast ever!!! Super friendly staff & very spacious rooms, including the big bathrooms. Comfy king size bed & very calm. (2 min to the beach) anyone who visits Mirissa ; choose this hotel!!

Excellent Staff! They were like family members. From the entrance itself it shows the standards of the best 5 star hotel in Mirissa. Food was also delicious. Well worth the price. Surrounding was attractive. Currently this is the best luxury hotel in mirissa. I can recommend for anyone this hotel.

Had a very pleasant stay at the ballena regency mirissa Got the 2 bedroom. Was well worth it! Very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. The food was tasty, Will definitely stay here again.

I forgot to say about the linen provided. It was dirty and the pillow case was not changed before we came. We could not feel our own sweat in the sheet but could feel it was not washed.

The only minor issue were with the bathroom door, which couldn't be sorted during the stay, but it didn't affect our pleasant stay.

It is a hidden gem. The hotel is at the end of a small, dark road but once you are there, you won't regret it. The building allows for views into the green side of Mirissa. It's unbelievably quiet. You wake up to the sounds of nature, it's very nice. Rooms are spacious, beds are big and comfortable (I'm 6'4!). Breakfast is good (but also huge!). Hotel management is very very helpful and friendly, I loved chatting with them. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
