Stumbled in here by accident looking for a cold pint on a hot day. Expectations weren’t sky high to begin with - you don’t expect the Ritz - but we’re completely blown away. Mainly - but by no means entirely - by the warmth and generosity of the owner (a young local guy who is clearly put his heart into this venture). Colourful cast of locals and tourists alike run along well - highly recommended.

Good place. Nice location front of the sea. Service little late. If you are going to drink dont order bites too much.for example if you order pork curry you will receive carrot and potatoes more than pork. Just 10 pork pieces . Always cheating with foods. But price is not reasonable . Not recomended for drink.

The country's Health guidelines were not followed as "most" staff were not wearing masks even in enclosed spaces and they had to be reminded of the same.rooms are spacious and clean inside but balcony areas seem neglected.T&Coffee facility is available in room.Hotel seem to be mainly for functions.breakfast menu has western and eastern choice.lacked communication when it came to ordering breakfast.front desk/ reservation making was easy and helpfull as it was made directly with staff Lukshani.

The restaurant is situated on the main road (opposite the beach). You have parking space available for a few vehicles. The staff is friendly. The tables are small but you can request them to combine 2 tables together or more if you are dining here with a group of people. We had chilli paste, sause and a spicy coconut based sambol served to our table as condiments. It took about 15 minutes for the food to be served. The sweet corn soup (LKR250) was served warm with two slices of toasted baguette. It wasn't a clear soup instead it was a thick and creamy soup. They were very generous with the corn. It was very tasty and filling. We had a chicken fried rice(LKR750) and a seafood fried rice(LKR800). Both tasted good. The seafood rice had 3 deep fried prawns as a garnish and the rice was mixed with fish (NOT WHITE FISH) only but the taste was balanced quiet well. There weren't any prawns or cuttlefish in the rice so I'm not sure why it was called a seafood rice if they mix only fish 🤷‍♀️. The chicken fried rice had shredded pieces of chicken which was fresh and juicy. But the rice was slightly oily and you could taste a hint of MSG. The deviled prawns(LKR1100) was also tasty. It wasn't oily or too saucy. But the prawns were small and was over cooked slightly. I enjoyed the prawn dish because the produce was very fresh. The wait staff told us that one rice portion (full) is for 2pax but honestly it is enough for 4pax. It's a spacious and a clean restaurant. Would recommend anyone to dine here.

I have been there recently place is really Cool but the way there are treating to local guests is really bad 😞

Tasty food and it took more than 1hr & 40m to deliver. You need to have extra patients as staff take their own sweet time to serve the food. Also, you have to become a VIP customer to get the usual service.

This place is Highly recommend for traveling individuals ,couples & families in Down South in Sri Lanka. Very friendly staff , very clean accomodation rooms, delicious meals. Their pub is awesome to have a social drink in a nice atmosphere. Very important thing is their reasonable prices. Thank you so much Centhara team for your nice hospitality.

Terrible experience. It is not a 5 star hotel, they do not deserve even 1 star. You cannot pay with card, only cash in " 5 " star hotel, they are saying that the machine is broken. Room was not cleaned for 3 days. Tea, towels,water never refilled, you must to remind them. Breakfast - basically you do not have what to eat, margarine instead of butter, diluted coffee with missing coffee, not fresh fruits. Wifi in the room frequently not working. The so called hotel is in front of a very busy road, you cannot sleep because of the noise. I was shocked to see how much money they want per night. We are travelling a lot and never until now we saw something similar. Avoid at any cost, save your nerves!

we oder some breadcrumb foods but they didn’t issue white sauce (Mayonnaise) when we ask them about it they said they can’t issue it and they issue a sauce some homemade sauce 🤮. also sometimes there’s no A/C very hot inside.sometimes when we want to talk to manager there’s nobody, but sometimes one guy is coming but he doesn’t care customer, he is always staff side as i see it’s not good sign from there side ) but basically service is good here also sometimes when we ask something from them they don’t care us 🙂🙃 there’s one guy who is ashoka (security department) he is best he is know everything well and he knows how to deal with people )

Centhara Beach Weligama is one of the best places in the area. They have a Very friendly staff. We had a warm welcome by them during the arrival. Dont forget to chill with nice music at their newly open pub with mouth watering seafood menus. If you are looking for a awesome travel experience in Weligama area for affordable prices, Centhara Beach is the best place for that. Highly reccomended.
