Amazing hotel located in a calm bay directly by the water. The staff is very friendly and helps you out with anything. We enjoyed our stay here a lot and will definitely come back. We had a spacious and comfortable room with AC and warm water. The best was the amazing view over the ocean, which we could perfectly enjoy from our private balcony and which delivered us some stunning sunsets.

This was THE BEST Spa I have ever been to. The staff is friendly and attentive. There were 5 of us in our group and the bride to be wanted a spa day with massage, sauna, steam room, relaxation room, showers, pool and lunch. We were all completely relaxed, rejuvenated and recharged. I absolutely love this place and will be back 100%

BAY VIEW VILLA the Amazing Place We stayed here for 2 weeks... the beach is pristine, the waters are breathtaking. This is a more private setting than most! The staff and owner were wonderful!!! The food is excellent. The rooms very very nice....

The staff are so lovely, the views are epic (especially from our room), the food is yummy and a good price. This is the second time we have stayed here and totally recommend this amazing hotel. The staff accommodated for all of our needs yet again. The owner is extremely helpful and considerate. We enjoyed surfing, snorkelling and swimming in the crystal clear waters. The rooms are large with very high ceilings. There is everything you need in the rooms including a fridge, air con, wardrobe and outdoor chairs and table. It is worth the extra money to get the second level sea view rooms. It’s quite a secluded spot that is a surfers paradise. We will be back again for sure. Thank you New Bay View Villa for another amazing stay. We live Sri Lankan and everything

Such a hidden gem! Great location, with basically a private beach out front. Deck chairs overlook the ocean and has direct access to the beach. The bay was filled with schools of sardines when we were there! Incredible for snorkeling. Rooms were big and comfortable with AC and sea views

New Bay View Villa is an amazing place.The views from the top balcony villas are epic. A great place to surf for experienced surfers. The restaurant is tasty and are good prices. The staff are extremely helpful and considerate. The rooms have everything you need to live comfortably. I would definitely recommend this place.

Decided to stay in Weligama after a business visit instead of driving back to Colombo. The hotel is right at the end of a narrow path, so if it’s a wide vehicle you will have some difficulties getting in and reversing out of the property (neighbors are generally helpful and will remove tuk tuks from the road) Rooms are small and so is the washrooms but I guess that’s the case for most hotels in this area. Lock of access door to open area in the rear was broken so had to keep is tied up using some clothes. No TV / tea coffee facilities. Meals are off the menu and is pricier than average ! Also got to make sure that you get what you order ! - ordered fish & chips, whereas the menu mentioned a salad along with it, the waiter flatly stated it’s not. Once I asked him to bring the menu, he went off with the salad and declared he had not seen it ! Overall, stay was ok. Not really VFM. Property is on the beach and almost on the sea ! Not sure whether the reservation for sea had been eroded as there’s very little beach. I had forgotten my I phone charger and called a day later - both calls on day 1 were answered with extreme uninterest and was asked to call back ! On the second day, someone with better customer skills answered and later called back to say that the charger is not there !

Unfortunately very bad experience with this place. The hotel accepted telephone reservation after long negotiations. The employee tried to use an absurdly high dollar exchange rate, about 20% higher than the price on the street, or to force us to pay in USD while we wanted to pay in the local currency. We set a price below the one presented on booking.com and we agreed to the reservation. Then, on the day of arrival, 2 hours before check-in, the employee informed us that the pipe was broken in the exact room where we were supposed to be and there is no other room to accommodate us. A story like from a thriller movie ;-) I asked for a photo of the damaged room, of course any communication with the hotel was already dead at this time. I am pretty sure someone has booked our room for better price and the pipe for him was already operational… Therefore, I do not recommend this place. That's not how business is done.

first of all the location is perfect. it's directly on the sea, you hear the waves and it's a super quiet area, away from roads. the food is also very good, it was one of the best fish I ever had. they have good cocktails and the staff is super friendly. they have a restaurant area and a nice chill out area to have drinks. you can take a dip in the sea, they have a beach directly in front. totally recommend!

Breathtaking sea view at your doorstep itself. You’ll find tiny hermit crabs randomly walking here and there.. You get a private beach space and can snorkel too.. Staff is very friendly. Not too far from the main city. Don’t forget to take a mosquito repellent if you are planning to spend a little time at night outdoors enjoying sea breeze.

Amazing place with great view, location and friendly staff. 1 Meter away you can enjoy your almost Private beach. Some guests complain about ants. But you are in the Nature and its really fantastic. Really recommend this place.

Wonderful location and friendly staff. This place has so much potential unfortunately the features it offers have been rather a letdown. The New Bay View Villa runs at $50 per night. The most disappointing part are the rooms. They are worn out, old-fashioned and most of all slightly smelly. After waking up we discovered a huge bunch of ants running across the furniture and some impressive big cockroach in our room. Thats something that just shouldn't happen. We would not recommend this place to friends.
