I was at Parangi for three days with my friends. We were here for three days. Parangi is a beautiful cozy villa with a stunning view of its pool and the beach. I was in love with its interior. We booked the quadruple room and the double room with the sea view. The quadruple room was quite big and spacious. Even the bathroom was very spacious and have been designed properly in a way that it won't get wet other than the bathing cubicle. The room had a 59" TV which really added a value to the room. The two single beds in the quadruple room was in a partitioned area with more privacy is really a good concept. When you book the 2 rooms with the sea view you will get more privacy with easy access to the lobby, dinning areas, pool and the beach. The place was super clean including their pool. The pool was quite big and deep enough for a good swim. The beach was right in front of the villa and a perfect place for a sea bath. The service was also good. Indunil from the staff was the only person who was always with a smile and with a good sense of hotel staff etiquette. He made sure we were having a comfortable and relaxing stay and we felt homely thanks to him. His service was almost equal to a 5 star hotel. We ordered rice and curry for the first day lunch and it was exceeding our expectation. There was a big range of curries and the food was so lovely. Sadly every other meal except the said lunch was not good at all. Chef was very demanding and not flexible at all when it comes to ordering food. We were not given a menu and asked to request the food we like for all 3 meals but chef was always reluctant to make the food we asked saying it's hard to find ingredients like fish, prawns and cuttlefish which surprised us as this was in Weligama. Even though we were on FB, we had to pay LKR 1800 extra for a BBQ dinner and it was such a disappointment. True that it was raining in the evening and we ordered a late dinner around 9.30pm. It was not raining at all after 7.30pm but chef didn't put an effort at all to set up the BBQ station. Instead he served us a half baked chicken poured with some BBQ sauce which doesn't fit the standard of theme resorts at all. What surprised us more is all 5 of us got bad tummy, a skin irritation and sick after that so called BBQ dinner. So food was the only negative side of our stay at Parangi. This place allows BYOB. Rest of the staff other than the chef was good and supportive. No matter how much we loved the place, we will surely not visit this place again just because of the food as we don't want to be sick after a good holiday.

It was really a great stay at Superior sea view room at Parangi. It has very attractive view and room is very clean and spacious. They have outdoor bar 🍺 and small restaurant, which is very close to the beach 🏝️. Very friendly and kind staff✅ They are helpful too. All over its a very calm and quiet place. Highly recommended place to stay. ➡️The variety of food items for lunch and dinner can be upgraded.

This place is kind of a hidden gem in Weligama; comparing to most of other expensive places, Parangi gives the best service and food. Food is just amazing. The staff is very helpful and go beyond just to full-fill our requests. I have stayed three times there and all of them were amazing. There is a pool, but what is impressive is that we have direct access to Weligama beach. Also, this place is close to Kurumbay bay as well.

The rooms and beach were excellent!!! Great staff and great service! I hope they have more variety of food on the menu though.

This place is literally a gem where you can have your own privacy with a superb and delicious foods. Very special thanks to the manager Mr. Lakmal to the service that he provided with a very friendly manner where he cares about the customers a lot, the service him and his team provided was amazing. Great location in the heart of weligama. Rooms are nice and worth the price. Excellent food for the money they charge.However garden and beachfront was dirty (specially the beachfront) service could definitely improve , felt they treat locals differently.

Visited the property in October 2023 and had such a lovely time. This is a very small boutique hotel in an idyllic location. The food was delectable and the service was extraordinary. There was easy access to a long stretch of beach in addition to a cozy pool at the premises. The staff were very friendly and keen to help out. The rooms were perfect other than a malfunction with a curtain pole which the staff fixed diligently. Certainly another gem in the Thema Collection.

A lovely guesthouse in Weligama beach. We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The staff are respectful and attentive. We had to book 2 nights on the same day since a different hotel cancelled on us last minute. They were very accommodating and even provided us with a discount. Breakfast is simple but amazing, with fruits and omelettes. Great quiet place to surf, unwind and dine at beach bars while you’re in Weligama. Recommend!

Place is great. Very clean and large space in the bedroom. Only bad thing is there was no lock available for the bathroom when we visited.

Unfortunately, the manager with his narrow mentality completely ruined the experience. I was working on my laptop on their terrace after having lunch, for maybe a couple of hours, when he came to tell me that lunchtime was over. If I wanted to stay I had to order more food. I understand if this would be a basic local restaurant where the staff is not educated, but in a place like this where they should understand customer service it is unacceptable. His narrow mentality didn't allow him to see that I could perhaps come back regularly for the restaurant, or that I could recommend the place to my friends, or that I could write a positive review. Actually, I was planning to do all that. I was even planning to order dinner as well. But now, instead, I'm writing a negative review, all because of him pushing their customer to order something, because he thinks a customer should be ordering food all the time to be in their facilities. What a pity. On top of that, they had no other customers ordering food, except for one couple. Instead of appreciating the only customer that showed up out of the blue they basically ask him to leave.

We stayed at Parangi at the end of May 2022 and it was such a lovely experience. We got sea view rooms, those were comfy and nice bathrooms. Location is awesome, with very spacious pool and easy access to Weligama bay beach. Rooms and whole interior was gorgeous. Food was not what we expected, it was tasty though but lack of variety. Staff is very friendly and Indunil who served us did a marvellous job!!! This place is good for families and groups of friends, hope to visit again!

Great hotel, centrally located in Weligama, perfect for a morning surf. Very friendly and attentive staff, clean modern rooms and very good breakfast and dinner. Will definitely stay here again

We visited parangi bay last Thursday. Stayed there for couple of days. The hospitality there was amazing. Well maintained, clean and tidy beautiful place. They treated us like family. Compliments to Suresh, Indunil, the chefs and all the staff members who attended all our requirements with a smile every time.

Amazing Place to have a relaxing holiday! We are writing to express our sincere appreciation for the quality of service that the hotel staff offered us during our stay at Parangi Weligama on 19th November 2021. It was our very first time at Parangi Weligama and had an awesome stay, we enjoyed up to the max along with two wonderful staff who went out of the way to make are stay memorable.. These two staff by the name of Roshan and Chef Lanka are amazing humans who honestly doing their job to keep the guest utmost happy and they are a good asset to this property. From the time we entered to the property we were well looked after by Roshan with his courteous service in every minute along with Chef Lanka who has an amazing talent for culinary which we enjoyed to the fullest. Thank you very much my very good friend Chmain (CEO Theme Resorts), Roshan, Chef Lanka and entire hotel team that they personally did for us to make my wife’s special day extra special. We had a quality time at Parangi Weligama even though it was only one night stay, we will definitely recommend Parangi Weligama to all our friends, colleagues and family. Went there in July. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Space is bit limited. For a family to spend their time privately, this is an ideal hotel.

Visited Parangi Weligama Bay on 13 November with my family and friends. It’s a very nice 4-bedroom villa with a pool and direct access to the beach. Fabulous location. Had a great, relaxing time. Rooms and the attached washrooms are specious and very clean. Beach area is also clean and good for surfing. They got limited staff right now, but they are very helpful. Very personalised customer experience and the staff made us feel at home. Prepared every type of food we requested as per our timing. Special thanks to Mr Roshan, Suresh and Chef Lanka for taking care of us. Would definitely visit again.

Small villa like hotel with an excellent architecture. Awesome food with friendly service. Must mention Mr. Indunil and the co workers who work hard on maintaining the guest satisfaction. And loved the personal space available with a small garden and spacious room

A relaxing place with an incredible view… The rooms are beautiful with a nice decoration and the beach is visible through the glass doors. The food was also very tasty (hats off to the chef). Regarding the staff, they were very smiling and friendly throughout our stay. Special thanks to Indunil for his services and courtesy then Suresh for his kindness and his talent as a massager.
