Half the price of some other restaurants in the area and the food was amazing, we had the vegetable rice and curry which was a plate full of different things to try all were very yummy and not too spicy. We also had the potato coconut milk curry which again had an amazing flavour! Highly reccomend! 😋

Delightful little spot dishing out wonderful platters of different curry items for super reasonable prices. Considering the location, they’ve done their best to shut out the roadside noise but you’re never going to get it completely quiet. The service is extremely prompt & the food that is served is delicious. The Meewitha special curries are the star on the menu as they give you a broader selection of flavours to put together. Would honestly give a 4.7, the food truly speaks for itself, my only qualm is no card function for payment and I wish the portion sizes were a little larger, but only because it was all so damn delicious, would 100% recommend you go their for dinner if you’re in Weligama.

Nice curry with prawns and tuna curry was also good. Although it was a little noisy. As you see, owner send me kind rude reply, because this place has clients mostly from positive reviews. So, dear friend. Yes your place is noisy. And you refused us to go inside. More of that, there was strong smell of sewerage right during eating. Try cleaning your place. You and your friend were eating and give us no attention instead of bringing us our bill. Yes, food was very tasty and good. But your service and your attention to clients, your reply to my review - this is rude, you know. Probably, first you should go through some service lessons.

Awesome restaurant, excellent traditional food with super friendly stuff. Quick serving, fair pricing. Spicey fish and curry was very spicey so they served another portion of rice for free. I recommend the fish curry - it comes on a huge plate with lots of tasty vegetables and other sides. It's next to a street so a little loud but the atmosphere is still sweet and authentic.

Delicious Sri Lankan food at good prices! We ordered the vegetable rice and curry, and what a lovely dish it was! Loved the serving tray, which had all the different dishes segmented. Everything tasted great and on top of that the service was excellent too! Food arrived in good time and the waiters were friendly. Will definitely be coming back at least one more time before the end of the holiday.

By far the best rice and curry we have had. The passionfruit and soda was also very delicious. We wish we stayed longer in Weligama so we could go to Meewitha Weligama again!

The food was really good in our humble opinion and we came back for a second time! We had a fan to keep us cool and the sound from the street wasn’t too bad. Friendly server and even got a chance to compliment the chef herself!

I found this place towards the end of my time in Weligama and I came back everyday! It is SO tasty and su budget friendly! Yes it is noisy as it’s on the side of the road, but I didn’t mind as the service, quality of food and price make up for it! 100% recommended!

We’ve been there twice during our time in Weligama and we enjoyed the food very much! The Kottu and the vegetarian curry were the best we had so far. The pancake is very tasty too. The owners are super friendly, the price very reasonable and the location clean and welcoming. It was our favorite restaurant in this city! Definitely a recommendation ☺️

I love this place! While I was in Weligama, I came here every day. Because of sweet family that works here, because of tastiest food I ever tried in Sri Lanka (we asked for no spicy). Really tasty curry (had the prawns one), the buffalo curd is also great. Prices are very fair and service is nice and quick. One of the better places in Weligama.

Very disappointing. I tried this place a few years ago when I visited Weligama and food was excellent. We went there back yesterday. I had deviled fish. It was very dry and tasted old. I still have the after taste the following day…my wife had a potatoes curry. Very average, not much flavor. The only nice thing we had that evening was a wood apple juice with coconut milk. A pity for a juice to be a highlight of the dinner though. Prices are higher than in other local restaurants, and unfortunately the place is full of mosquitos.

Good for quick local dining. I looked for something traditional, quick, cheap and tasty. So menu is very native srilankian - chicken or fish combined with rice or noodle, some soups and salads, ice cream based desserts and choice of fresh juices. My spicy curry chicken was nice but IMO chicken was overdone. I was here at close so suppose that chicken was cooked not to order. Spicy curry sauce was great. Special mixed fruits juice was really fantastic. Thick and naturally sweet. Well adds to curry after test. Service is good quick and respectful. As it said many times here, location is not that romantic, road noise and co2 are the major cons.
