Careful, if you go there you may never leave… I initially booked for 2 nights and ended up spending 3 weeks there haha. Rizzee is a natural host, he makes everybody feel confortable and after a few days the place feels like home and the group staying feels like family. Well located in front of the beach 5-10min walk from the surfing spots. There is a kitchen you can use and a nice garden to relax. Thank you again for everything, I will come back for sure❤️

I was actually quit disappointed with the stay. Due to the amazing reviews we expected a really nice hostel. But the rooms were dirty and especially the bathroom was disgusting. Also after “cleaning”. The host was very welcoming and als the breakfast was good. Still, it was just too dirty for me, even though I always stay in hostels and am quit easy going with that. Also, when we charged our powerbank while being out someone (probably the staff, because we had the dorm with just our friends) came into the room to turn the electric off. That happened more than once which was annoying.

The host is amazing, the location is excellent, literary in front of the beach, if you wanna do some surf that’s the place you want to stay, the vibe is great in general, we did some dinners together in the hostel sharing the expenses and the host cooked very very well honestly. 100% would come again!

Docrict hostel was my favourite place that I stayed while in my travel. I would say it's the best hostel in weligama. The place was really quite and cool with the front garden serounded by fruit trees. Was really cool and quiet place. Its actually feels like a home for me. The rooms and beds were comfortable. I was staying there for almost more than one month. It was an amazing experience. The owner was very friendly and such a nice person. He was always helpful with any situation. Even the problems we faced in outside. I made lot of really good friends there. We were like a family... The location is perfect to reach the surf points. And also I was staying there and covered other areas like mirissa, midigama, galle. Every week we had Sri lankan cooking activities. And we had dinner all together. Also we had some funny games too. While im staying there I was partying alot. Every week the whole hostel were going to the doctors house for partying.! I have really nice memories with this place. I'll definitely come back again. For me docrict is the best in weligama.!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Docrid hostel and I have to say it was an exceptional experience for me. The host is an incredibly kind and welcoming person. From the moment I arrived, he went out of his way to make sure I felt at home and had everything I needed. He gave me great recommendations for places to visit and eat and how to go to nearby places. The hostel itself is beautifully decorated and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well during my stay. In addition to the comfortable and facilities, the location of the hostel if fantastic, it’s right on the beach, short walk from bus station/railway station and close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. But what really sets Docrid apart is the amazing hospitality, after I checked out and reached Colombo, I realised that I had left my power bank and adapter in living area as it was on charge. I contacted the host and he offered to send them to me. However, instead of mailing them over to me, he went above and beyond by personally bringing them all the way to Colombo to hand them over to me. This level of service and kindness is truly rare and made my trip to Sri Lanka even more memorable. If I ever go back there I’ll stay there again for sure. Overall, I would highly recommend Docrid hostel to anyone visiting weligama. With its wonderful host, comfortable beds, and prime location, it’s the perfect place to call home during your stay.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Doray Hostel und haben jede davon genossen. Rizwan hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns gleich seine Hilfe angeboten ohne sie uns aufzuschwatzen. Er war immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben. Das Hostel ist ist ganz neu und man merkt, dass Rizwan alles richtig machen möchte. Er hat uns viel zu unserer Meinung gefragt und ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Die Zimmer waren für den Preis super und vor allem sauber! Die Betten waren total bequem. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und auch hier wurden unsere Wünsche erfragt und erfüllt. Am Ende hat er uns sogar umsonst mit nach Unawatuna genommen. I had such an amazing stay here in the Docrid Hostel!! I felt comfortable from the first moment on, had nice talks with the owner Rezeee and all the other guests. We danced, cooked, ate together and still everybody felt so free to do his/her stuff during the day. The hostel is perfectly located next to the beach and a few meters walk from the authentic city center of Weligama. I wanted to stay for one or two nights, in the end I stayed nearly a week and even then it was hard to leave. People I can only recommend you this hostel, it‘s great and worth a 5 star rating!

Super nice hostel in a perfect location. It's on the beachfront in Weligama so you can fo surfing in the morning and it's clis to the city with all the good restaurants and shops. The owner Rizwan is a very nice and caring person. He'll help you with everything you need and loves to chat to people and exchange about culture and stuff. Perfecr for solo travelers. You meet nice and like minded people. The sri lankan breakfast is also very good and you get something else every day. Comfortable mattresses and aircon in the room. Every dorm. Has it's own bathroom and you can use the kitchen. 1000% recommended you'll have a great time and don't want to leave.
