Double booked because according to the hotel stuff “the other guest decided to stay one more night”. What’s the point of booking then? That said, we had to move to another hotel and didn’t stay here. Location is perfect but the hotel itself looked outdated.

I got surfing 🏄‍♀️ classes from them. The instructor is quite knowledged, and I was able to stand on the board from the first session.

Stayed here three nights in November 2016. Room (with air conditioning) was very spacious and clean for reasonable rates. Location was great and right on the beach. Staff was friendly, but tried to convince you to use specific transportation services....but that's typical.

This is an amazing place to stay, to relax by the beach and to get surf lessons! The staff is super kind, the owner Arun is always willing to help in the kindest way. The rooms are clean, spacious and has hot water.

We did not stay here, but spend days on sun beds and enjoyed food and drinks prepared by Ima. He was very nice, frie dly and made best coffee making sure we were taken care of.

Location is fantastic because it’s right on the beach. Our rooms 9 and 10 were ground floor rooms with one facing the sea. So great location. Rooms were a good size with nice layout. Room 9 had ant infestation coming from window down to the toilet bowl as seen in pictures and we had to get the linen changed because it was so dirty. There are NO coffee or tea making setup like other hotel which was really disappointing. Breakfast was quite limited too but kitchen staff were friendly. We paid USD 240 and seriously think this place is overpriced for the ammenities it privides.

Samura Beach Hotel has been very very frienldy to our reservation conditions due to we could not enter Sri Lanka because of corona... They have responded immediately to our question whats about the cancellation and gave us full free charge! Very very friendly peolpe and very fast service! 5/5!
