It doesn't matter if you are a guest of the hostel or you are a neighbor or just stranger from the street - They will care about you! They can help you arrange everything across Sri Lanka in the best price! I was one of that person who went there for a beer and experience their amazing concern. Another big advantage for me was the location, because it is in the heart of small fisherman's area. Where you can still meet locals who's playing cards after the sunset and sailing in the morning.

Ship Faced is a hostel located a minute outside the populair Mirissa city centre, only 10 minutes away from the main beach and just 2 steps away from their only little private beach. Every night you’ll be able to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets right from your dorm room. 🌅 The hostel has clean and well airconditioned (dorm) rooms and little curtains for every bed which gives you a little bit more privacy. The bar and reception is right next to the dorms and every morning there is free fresh Sri Lankan tea and coffee. The showers are located in every dorm and you share it with 5 other people. Most of the hostel exists of an outside area but parts of it are covered in case of ‘bad’ weather. There is lovely dinning tables but also a common area with beanbags and sun beds to enjoy each other’s company and the sun. The whole set up is really social, there is always music playing and always people in for a few beers! This is the number one party hostel is Mirissa! The bar provides cold beers, drinks, cocktails and has a food delivery service which is available all day long. Besides from the hostel and their facilities, what really made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Luke and Holly who own and manage the hostel with mother Nyoli are the absolute best and helped us out with pretty much everything we needed. From small things like food delivery, laundry, restaurant recommendations and providing us with the perfect outfit for the full moon party, to helping us with getting the best deal on a scooter rental and making sure everything goes according to plan. Even when sometimes it is hard to communicate with the locals, these guys stay calm, professional and sort it out no matter what! In our opinion this is the perfect place to party, make new friends, feel at home and get lost in paradise. 🌺🌴

Spoiler alert! Lovely staff! The owner is so sweet. She makes sure to introduce you to everyone who is around. (Now this sounds like it could be annoying, but believe me you'll love it!). The location is amazing. The place has it's own beach and the sea here is really calm. Now don't get your snorkelset out of your bag, because there is nothing to see, but get a floatie from behind the bar and just float around with a beer in your hand! Enjoy!

View of the hostel is nice. But it is bit messy as they have one washroom shared among 8 people. Hosts are helpful. Secret beach is 2 kms from the hostel, party places are near walking 10 mins. Route to the hostel is bit confusing not much boards are displayed.

Newly opened place with wonderful, very helpful staff. Its located right on the secluded beach close to the harbor, which gives you not only more calmness and privacy, but also the possibility to grab one of their inflatable mattresses and start your day drifting on the water:) Only a few minutes away from the main Mirissa beach or the secret beach make it still close to the action and restaurants. Try for yoursef!

I can only recommend this hostel. The staff is friendly and will do everything to put a smile on your face. The sunset is amazing and the sea perfect. You get instantly the feeling of being welcomed to the family.

OK. If there is one place to stay in mirissa, it's ship Faced hostel!!!! Staff is so lovely, location is amazing with their private secluded beach, atmosphere is so friendly and fun, everything neat and comfy, it's the dream family business. Go there with your eyes closed (or wide open). Highly recommended!!!! 😍

Amazing hostel right on the beach! The owners, Naoli, Luke and Holly are so helpful and accommodating. The rooms and very clean with air conditioning. You will not regret staying here!
