I've had some difficulty finding a thin, New York-style pie in the area that feels it hits on all fronts. Sweet Tomatoes has proven to be exceptional in quality. The crust is chewy and toothsome with a crispy handle on the end worth eating. The sauce actually makes itself known (rather than others in this style I've had that seem sprayed on, so thin and lacking was their presence). The ingredients taste fresh and of good quality. Nothing but impressed and will absolutely be back.

You need to hire workers that know what they are doing. A man came in to pick up 2 pizzas he ordered...The girl didn't even check if they were paid for. Luckily the man was honest and told her he needed to pay. I ordered a sandwich, the girl put so much bacon on it. It would have been swimming in grease. I cancelled the order. I did not have this problem at the location in Needham. The sandwich was excellent. They seem frazzled..If I owned this place I get rid of them...Totally absent minded..

Small town feel pizza shop. Friendly service. Not too crowded. Pizza by the slice, fair price for Newton. Municipal parking a block away.

Needed lunch and ordered their "beet" arugula salad. It was tiny, had maybe one mushy slice of beet and a tiny amount of blue cheese. If you eat here maybe go for the pizza as folks seem to love it? (I gave an extra star since I know I'm reviewing a salad at a pizza joint) But I'd steer clear of their $10 handfuls of lettuce they're selling as salads...

Stopped in for a quick dinner before a movie on date night. Got the pesto splash medium pizza and it was glorious. Crust had a wonderful crunch. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly and attentive. Pizza was made fresh and quickly. One of the best pizza places in Boston

I love the neapolitan pizza here. It is delicious and the toppings are so fresh. I order a large pizza myself and almost eat it all!! I like to change it up with the toppings, from meatball, bacon to extra cheese, really depends on what I am feeling. I would definitely recommend going here, I really enjoy the food and the freshness.

The pizza here is a thin pizza. The dough is very thin, so very tasty. It’s not salty. Very chewy and delicious. The staffs are very kind.

Pizza made me throw up and caused horrible indigestion. I normally can eat pizza just fine but this pizza legitimately had me hurling hours later after eating it

If only they would offer a smaller reg crust pie, wouldn't care if it's a higher price just don't want it sloppy/soupy/disgusting in the middle so a 10 inch regular crust(not cauliflower or GF)would be great!! Tried the Gf but it tasted like literal cardboard I've had frozen pizza crusts that tasted better

The pizza was good and they made it fast. They also have gluten free pizza and sandwiches which are delicious.

This is a nice local pizza place where the pizzas, though a little doughy and oily, hit the spot in the right way. Food (4/5): There is a large variety of pizzas, from which you can buy slices, or pies ranging from medium to large. I got a medium pie for a 20$ that I was able to eat over two meals myself (I got the clam pizza). The taste of the pizza was very good, but it was a bit oily for my tastes. Plus, the dough was a little chewy; I like to eat the crust, but it's a full mouth workout to eat. Although I think the 20$ price tag for a medium pie was a bit pricy for my tastes, it's definitely better than what you get at a chain. Service (5/5): The people who work there are very friendly and are rather quick in producing your order. Sometimes they strike a conversation while you eat or wait (only if you want to though)! Atmosphere (4/5): The vibe is of a local pizza joint, which I appreciate; it feels very local. However, there's not much seating around; only about 3 to 4 tables inside, 1-2 outside, and 2 hightops with no seats. Great if you're just picking up, but eating there might be a bit cramped. Overall, a great joint for some non-chain, local pizza!

Terrible pizza. Should be called Bread-sticks or Crust cause there was nearly ZERO sauce on the pie. A few chunks of tomato is NOT A SAUCE! Cheese was so salty it gave me a stomach ache. Pizza was like chewing on leather. Hands down the worst pizza Ive ever had, even frozen. When i called to complain they pretty much said too bad, that's the way we make it. Business shouldn't be named Sweet Tomato, very very misleading and disappointing. Artisinal bread is NOT PIZZA!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Great sandwiches! Great service! Recommended for the great pizza as well. Good selection of toppings and something for everyone.
