Gabe's for lunch (takeaway only). Get there early for full selection (slightly smaller menu on Sundays). Food is great - Jollof Rice, Jerk Chicken, Lamb / Chicken Curry and Oxtail (when he does it). The owner is great, good customer service and such a friendly guy. Food is always great when we go and always good to see Gabe. Never had a bad meal and is good to have him there serving his food to add variety of food options to the long week. Support local.

Tried this place by accident as the place around the corner was not open as advertised. Delighted I did. It's a food van in the shopping centre car park. The queue for lunch was reassuringly long, and with good reason; the food was tasty and generously portioned. Curry goat was lovely, as well as the jerk chicken. It was served with jollof rice rather than rice and peas but that made a nice change. Really nice Owner too. If I'm in the area will be sure to pay him a visit again

Visited here yesterday just by coincidence, what a lovely guy and when I say the food was amazing it was! Jollof rice with chicken curry was banging, the coleslaw was out of this world and the chicken wings were spicy and fell off the bone, absolutely 10/10. Very generous portions too! We will definitely be back! Even got us an extra table so we could sit and enjoy our food ♥️ Thank you!

Walked past and saw a big queue, jumped in and by God was it worth the wait, Had the Jollof rice with some curried chicken and some Jerk Chicken pieces. All of it was amazingly well seasoned, chicken fell of the bone and just melts in your mouth. Made my day, will definitely be stopping by when I come back! Michael (I believe that’s his name) is an absolute lovely guy, customer service is certainly not lacking. No pictures as the food did not hang around for long enough as I devoured it all!

If you have not visited Gabes, you are missing out. The food is amazing as well as the coffee and the cake are unbelievable! I love this place. The prices are reasonable and the quality and quantity of food is great! The owner is a breathe of fresh air who is always smiling and keeping his customers happy. Absolutely fantastic food. Great portion size, lovely spices. £10 for lots of food. We had coffee too and wings, both of which were also very nice. The guy was really nice too

The man is a hero. Amazing curry goat and jerk chicken. Never would you expect such a feast in an Orpington car park. Came to buy cat toys from pets at home, will come back for Gabe's. Soundtrack also on point

Came here a few days ago, and the food is genuinely Michellin Star quality! Amazing quantity at a great price and a very very nice owner! Will definitely be back for more Jerk Chicken and Jollof! :)

The guy is so kind and helpful trying his best to help his clients and the food is suberb. He also confirmed the chicken is halal. I will definitely come for the food again.

Amazing food. Really friendly guy. Had jerk chicken with rice and peas and chicken curry with a coleslaw type accompaniment. Huge portion for £10. Authentic Caribbean flavours clearly prepared and served with love and enthusiasm. Will look forward to next time I'm passing.

Highly recommend. I had jollof rice with jerk chicken. The guy also gave us a small amount of curry goat to try. It was all gorgeous, the meat was so tender, and soo flavoursome. Also had a really nice heat to it. The guy who served us who I believe owns the business was really lovely aswel. It was £10 for one which we shared, well worth the money though as you get a decent portion with good quality food. I Highly recommend this place. Me and my partner will have to get this everytime we pass its too good!

Gabe's is a firm favourite of our family. Excellent Jollof rice, jerk chicken and goat curry with generous portion sizes and always a warm welcome. Overall, a happy guy serves delicious food in a food truck in the Nugent car park.

I really wanted to like this! But I really didn't. I was really looking forward to trying Gabe's and in the end I was so disappointed. When I arrived they only had chicken curry and rice left. This was at half past 2 in the afternoon. No sides, no jerk chicken, no salmon nothing. The guy was nice to knock £2 off since I didn't get any options but I was still disappointed because I really wanted to try the jerk chicken. The chicken curry was grainy and I really didn't like the flavour. The rice and peas was bland. The jollof rice had a bit of flavour but was cold. Overall, I was gutted. I think that maybe I caught them on a bad day but from what I tasted, the food was nothing like the flavoursome, authentic afro-caribbean food I'm used to. It was just very average food.

Couldn't wait for some lunch today, but closed when we arrived at 12:15pm. 3 Very unhappy shoppers. Please provide a contact number so we can check it is actually open before we make the 15minute journey from the office. 30 minutes wasted.

Great food, great prices and a very friendly owner. This is exactly how a business should be run. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area.
