very friendly. food was great too really enjoyed the onion soup. would be even more awesome if they had more beer taps. oh, the fries aren't "homemade" but wasn't a concern for me.

If you’re looking for an authentic Belgium experience, look no further. Best mussels I’ve ever had and best beer my whole life. Staff is super attentive and friendly and I couldn’t recommend enough. This is a must visit on your Brussels trip or even as a local looking for some good food and great beer!

If you want to try Really great Belgium Mussels, you definitely should come here and try them. They are absolutely delicious, the actual size of the mussels inside is proportional to the mussel shell and not empty. Great portion as well. Each dish on the menu comes with recommended beer pairing which is also fantastic. The service was great and very friendly with a nice and quieter part of Brussels. Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed.

The food was so tasty and prices were much more reasonable than any other place in the centre. We loved the service, we had a few experiences of bad service in Brussel, but the owner of this wplace was so friendly, smiley and kind. We will be back!

We stumbled upon this cafe, and it was our lucky day. We ordered 5 main dishes with local beers. All tasted delicious yummy. Mussels with fries is a must try dish when you visit Grand Place. It is 1 kg of mussels with tasty broth. We loved so much. Thierry was very friendly and funny too, we tried their best of the waffles with creams. Another must try if you are still not full after the main dishes.

Popular, laid back restaurant serving up classic Belgium cuisine and beers. Not sure what to pair with what? The menu has suggestions on the best beers that compliments the entrees. The stew beef is solid and so are the mussels. While the ribs were a bit overcooked the plum sauce was finger licking delicious. Portions aren't large but they're satisfying.

We found this restaurant through Google reviews and I think we really did not make a mistake in our choice. The waiter was extremely hospitable and friendly. The food was delicious and was ready quickly. The atmosphere in this restaurant was really excellent, a positive local atmosphere. I assume the prices are quite correct for Western Europe and it seemed ok to us that the we paid €38 for lunch for two people. Allr ecommendations!

A great dining experience. Both mussels and waffle are very tasty, and the restaurant owner is very nice and helpful. The only caveat is that there might be a few fruit flies lingering when eating inside.

The owner or the server lady was so nice and friendly! Amazing! Everyone said how amazing the stew is, to be honest, nothing special for me (it’s not really tender as others mentioned, the flavour was not too special either) Good that the portion is not too big, now I can continue try other restaurant for more lunch 😂 But honestly the service is top notch!

This place was great. I walked past in the afternoon and was intrigued so I did a little investigation. Saw it has really positive reviews and 4+ star rating on google so I decided to book it for that evening. The service was excellent. The server actually checked in on me a few times to see if I enjoyed my starter, French Onion Soup, and again for my main course which was Vol au Vent. I been accustomed to not really seeing the server much after they take the order in Europe, but not the case here. The server also helped me choose a couple beers that I had during the meal and they were both great recommendations. I would definitely eat here again and can confidently recommend you do to.

I went during the lunch time on Sunday.. there were couple of tables filled. I decided to check out the place.. it was good choice, the restaurant is very clean and staff were really nice. They had a English menu, i asked for a vegetarian options he suggested me this and good Belgium beer 🍻. The food was very tasty and so is the beer. It is located in the center. Do visit if you are looking good food and nice prices.

We came here with a group from work. We received a very warm welcome. Friendly owners that make you feel right at home. The menu is a typical hit list of all the classic dishes Belgium has to offer. Carbonara with fries, moules frites, meatballs, and waffles as dessert. You can wash it all away with Belgian beers. Maybe not so exciting for a Belgian native like myself. But if you're new to Belgian cuisine, go for it.

What an actually really truly wonderful little place! Very unassuming but honestly some of the best food in Brussels! Serving excellent classics like carbonnade, vol-au-vent, ribs, mussels, onion soup (have tried all and would recommend!) Come here for great food and a really kind and funny owner.

We ate at this restaurant last Sunday. I ate a very good portion of mussels cooked with wine. The host was very nice and funny. We had a very good time there.

Staff was really friendly and they spoke at least French, Dutch and English. It is a local restaurant with really delicious food. Photos don't look that great but the food was really delicious.

Never been a fan of mussels and beer. But I'd like to try out some Belgian dishes, and I never regret ordering them! The mussels are absolutely fantastic. The owner is friendly and helpful and recommended some nice beer that is lighter and less bitter. Overall it's a very nice dinner and I highly recommend this place!

Good place, okay value for money. The food was good. I ordered the beef stew and it was really delicious. However, I found the portion size small. If you are a small eater you will be satisfied, otherwise you may need more than a main course. The waitress might had to handle a few awful people because she wasn't that nice to us either. Beer selection is good

The location of the place is a little bad. You have to walk quite a bit from the city center. The owner is an incredibly rude and racist person. First he begged us to be seated, then he kicked us out of the restaurant, saying that the quantity we ordered was too small(we ordered waffles and coffee). It wasn't any rush hour and the tables were empty. Really rude behavior. Very high in price. I even don't understand what an American style restaurant is doing in a city like brussels. Total waste of time and money.
