A really beautiful restaurant with some unique sharing dishes. The food was fantastic but they really lacked a strong service to compliment it. Introducing the food and the pre dinner snacks would have been ideal and common for the type of price tag this comes with; the food is great and they really should be shouting about it.

I had an excellent lunch here. Frankly, the best swordfish I ever had. It should be packed every day of the week; lunch and dinner.

Fabulous restaurant with beautiful, super tasty dishes and great service. The scallop starter and mushroom main is superb. Very fair prices. Even do "beer" pairing with the many great Belgian craft beers. A real joy. Update: came again March 2023 - service not so good, shrimp croquette quite horrid, even the scallop carpaccio looks different ... oh oh

This restaurant is a study in contradictions. When I walked in, the CHEF was super nice and greeted me. But then I had to wait 25 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant for anyone else to acknowledge me. They gave me one piece of bread and, when I asked for a second, seemed offended. The food was also contradictory. The salmon tartare was excellent, but only after I removed a giant pile of arugula from the top. The fish in the main dish was possibly the nicest and most perfectly cooked cod I’ve ever had, but it was on a bed of “mashed potatoes with olive oil” (from their menu directly) but those potatoes were 40% cilantro, which is an ingredient that many people have strong feelings about. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t listed on the menu as I’d never have ordered if I’d known it contained (especially so much) cilantro. Then, I had to wait so long for a server to come back that I eventually just took my check instead of ordering dessert. The chef is clearly talented, but I wouldn’t go back because of the service and menu confusion.

Fantastic foodie find. Creative, eclectic menu (like the "cheese dome") from a hands-on chef who even helped serve. From the first whipped goat cheese and pickled carrot amuse bouche to the Belgian chocolate "lava" cake and each course in between, everything was delicious and beautifully prepared.

Great surprise and hidden gem 💎! Excellent food, good wine by the glass, super staff and very cosy atmosphere. At some point in time will go back. Excellent call if you end up at this place.

How I came across this place (on the Michelin Guide might I add) was thanks to my craving of the Ile Flottante. I was traveling to Brussels again and this time I would not be leaving the Belgian premises unless my taste buds had revisited this sweet confection. It turned out that Comptoir des Galeries surpassed my expectations. I was so happy that I had stumbled upon this cozy restaurant with its wooden chairs and tables. If I had to choose one word to describe Comptoir des Galeries, it would be: neat. Everything was neat and tidy. The food was presented neatly, the service was as it should be, and the environment was squeaky clean (even the bathrooms were as clean as they could be). I really enjoyed the whole meal; it was delicious and I will definitely be back for more. Finally, the long awaited reunion was here, and I will leave you with the picture of a light airy white floating dessert drizzled with a hint of caramel. May it linger in your thoughts…

By incident we discovered this restaurant. We were attracted by the open kitchen and the nice gallery atmosphere. But displayed menu card made us finally deciding for this restaurant. In the end our instinct has been confirmed with excellent food and a very good service. We picked the menu what had a perfect value for money. For sure we will come in at our next stay!

Great food, friendly service, located in Les Galeries. From the outside you’d miss it if you don’t know it’s there. Luckily I went there with great company :) we have fish soup, ‘maigre’ fish as a main course and the chef treated us to “joux confit” which were exquisite. Certainly going back!

The pork confit was the best I ever had. It was just absolutely delicious! The service was amazing and they gave us great advice on places to see in Brussels! Definitely a must try in Brussels!

Tried this place last minute and looked nice from the pictures. Staff were very friendly and somewhat attentive. The food was very disappointing and wasn’t very flavourful or seasoned. The food come out and seemed to have been plopped onto the plate like a school meal. Wouldn’t go back.

Starter (canneloni) was ok, main course was the worst tartare I have ever eaten, (mushy consistency, probably through the meat grinder). My companion's steak was well cooked but poor quality. All in all, not recommended.
