Had an amazing time with my family here. Great for all ages! This ranch has a beautiful mission and is an impressive undertaking by the owner. The animals we met were so friendly and clearly are being taken care of with great love and thoughtfulness. We learned so much here and I would come back many times again. I wished I lived near this ranch so I would be able to volunteer. This is by far one of my favorite stops on our west coast road trip!

This place is amazing. We were so thankful for the opportunity to have a hands on experience with all these different animals while also having it be so educational for both our kiddos and the adults. You'll get to interact and love on, horses, ponies, cats, chickens, turkies goats, llamas, pigs and a dog! But honestly the best part is getting to learn about all the different rescues and their stories. Both us and the kids loved it and would definitely come again.

Staff provided a safe and fun environment for both kids and adults to learn about farm animals. Very interactive tour with lots of opportunity for hands on experience. They had great covid-19 safety protocols as well.

Visiting the ranch was a great bonus when we came to visit leavenworth. It was fun learning about the rescued animals and gave a me a different perspective about farm animals. I could see the passion and love at this farm and I'm glad we came to visit and pet the animals. 10/10 and I highly recommend and support the community

We didnt know what to expect bit WOW what an amazing place and what an awesome mission raising these rescue animals. We stayed at the rental and it was perfect. Right by the river and had everything our family needed. Kitchen, bbq, grassy field, hot tub, and comfy TV area. But the tour was the best part learning about animals and feeding them also. They are close to town and totally worth the visit!

Staying in Leavenworth with friends, we checked this amazing place out on a whim, and so glad we did! There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids ages 10 - 16 - and we all loved it!! It was not only FUN to be able to interact with all the animals, but it was educational as well. Our tour lady explained all the ins and outs of the rescues, what they go through on a daily basis, the hope they have for these sweet animals. And ended the tour with pictures with kitties and their dog Duke! I'd highly recommend visiting and donating to this awesome place, it's heartwarming to see they love they have to give!!

I'm not a big animal person, so I wasn't sure how much I would like this tour. However, I had a fantastic time. The animals were unique and fascinating. We got great guidance on how to not distress the animals, which showed a great amount of care goes into keeping their lives happy. I met the sweetest kitty I've ever met on this tour. Bottom line, this is a true animal rescue that you will feel good supporting.

We ended up going here to Refugee Ranch and had a blast! This place really is perfect for everyone. If you love animals and you don’t mind getting dirty, this is a ton of fun. The animals were so so sweet. It was a one of a kind adventure. It was clear all the animals were enjoying it too. You got to feed the horses, Hold the chickens and kittens, feed and pet the goats, get kissed by the alpacas. There was also some wonderful piggies. We had a lot of laughs (The tour guide and ranch owner was so funny and personable. She loves all her animals so much!), got some great pictures. For the price, this is a bargain! The kids in the group had a blast. My group was adults and we may have had even more fun than the kids! I already want to go again!!!

We had a great time visiting the ranch. Jody was great host. She’s got so much knowledge surrounding her rescues and animals. You can tell she puts a lot of love and time into this place. The animals were so sweet and obviously used to people. My daughter especially liked the chickens. They were so funny! We would def come back. Worth the trip!

This place was awesome. It was a guided tour throughout the farm and the lady was very nice and informative. It was fun getting to feed the horses, watching the chickens zoom around and getting kissed by an alpaca. There were lots of families in our tour group but I thought it was just as entertaining going as an adult couple. Definitely recommend checking it out!

My stay at Refuge River Ranch was such an incredible experience, better than I could have imagined. The area was blanketed in snow, just beautiful and peaceful. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the hostess was gracious and attentive, making sure all needs were met and the guests were comfortable. The ranch itself was charming, clean and the animals are well cared for and loved. The tour was informative and entertaining. And the animals were happy. The whole experience warmed my heart and soul. I found it hard to leave. And I miss them already. Definitely going back.

The Refuge River Ranch Experience Tour was amazing and incredibly educational! Jodiek, the owner, is so knowledgeable and you can see how much she cares for her animals that she rescues. It is a beautiful place and all the animals are so well loved. My husband and I went with our toddler, and we all had a great time! We got to feed horses and goats, get alpaca kisses, pet pigs and dairy cow calves! Highly recommend!

This was a great experience. The host/owner is very passionate and informative about her rescue animals. The animals are adorable and there were plenty of opportunities to interact with them, pet them, and feed them. Our four year old enjoyed seeing the various animals. Definitely recommended, and the tour fee goes toward supporting the ranch’s mission.

It was one of the most adorable and educative experiences of the year. The owner was an amazing storyteller and had us experience the animals one by one. She educated us how to treat animals and how they ended up being there. There were horses, chickens, cats, pigs, alpacas, goats, baby and large turkeys, and a beautiful dog. We got to pet them and feed them. So much fun. We also got the organic eggs that were still covered by egh bloom so it won't go bad as soon as ones we buy at the grocery store; they remove it so eggs go bad sooner. I am not even a kid but I loved the whole experience. If you have children, it will be an awesome place to visit. It also feels great to support local refuge that is working for great purpose. Highly recommend.

Fantastic! The tour started on time, cost wasn't obnoxious & we learned that the proceeds go towards helping the farm run. The owner & guide was Fantastic & super friendly. She answered all of my kid's questions (even the silly ones!). A decent variety of animals to see & pet. Feed horses & goats, get kissed by an Alpaca & pet their SOFT fur, hold and pet a chicken, pet the goats... etc. Duke the dog was a great compliment to the tour as he was sweet in following us & keeping us & the animals in line haha I highly recommend. My kids 4 & 8 absolutely LOVED it. About an hour and a half tour for us.

What a fun and fantastic experience!! Fun for the entire family and a beautiful learning experience. These rescued animals each have a special story and are so lucky to end up here at JodieK ranch! They each get the care, love and support they deserve! Please go! You won't regret it!

Our experience was absolutely delightful! We got to feed horses and goats, hold chickens, snuggle alpacas, and pet pigs. The owner was very knowledgeable about her animals and clearly had a big passion for making sure they were treated very well. The tour was well structured to be able to see and experience everything, ending with a free family picture and a gift shop. Thank you for the wonderful time!

This house and experience on the ranch was just pure magic! We had a wonderful stay, complete with the introduction in the (purchased separately) farm tour to all the animals on the farm, which are rescues. From having alpacas (really, "camelids"), chickens and pot bellied pigs sometimes frequent the lawn in front of our home, to a playful romp between my kids and the rescued baby fawn, to the kitty who loves to be petted and picked up, it was so much fun. All the animals were well behaved and loved human attention. The host was very safety minded and did a great job letting us know which animals would not be appropriate to interact with. It also didn't hurt on these hot days we stayed here, that in just a few yards you were able to access the most beautiful, picturesque icicle creek, complete with a gorgeous view of mountains while you swim (the creek was nice and calm when we were there, but it changes seasonally, and might not be safe for kids, depending). The AC was wonderful, as well as the amount of space. With the TV/living room away from the bedroom it's nice as the kids can go play in the morning without disrupting the sleep of whomever is sleeping in. The only recommendation I would ask the owner to consider is adding these to the kitchen: a peeler, large nonstick frying pan, salad spinner, blender, and for sure a dishwasher.

This place is so perfect and fun! I highly recommend this. It's a fun intimate experience that is fun for the whole family. They take safety seriously and ensure all Littles and adults alike are safe and have fun. Horses, alpacas goats and more. It's a non profit rescue where all animals are loved and kept care of. Support this lovely place and make room for some cute animals in your heart!
