It definitely is not your typical beach. If you are looking for waves and shallow to deep water look elsewhere. The water is basically stagnant and there is a ton of seaweed. But if you looking for a place to just sit and watch the sunset this is the perfect spot away from the busy bigger beaches. They have a nice seating area to enjoy a meal, barbecues if you want to cook. The bathrooms are also nice and clean and the parking is free. Nice little area

Yesterday I visited this beautiful place, I loved it and the reason is because I am a disabled woman and at last I was able to find a place where I can walk with my walking chair and I also really liked its ease of being able to go to the bathroom, and the areas to eat there really is the first beach I visit and it has everything I need so close to my needs, thank you for understanding the disabled, because we also deserve to have amenities so that we can enjoy our beaches here in Florida. beaches were like that. Thank you.

Very quaint beach. Didn't have to pay to park. Very peaceful spot! Lots of jetskis leaving from this are but wasn't obnoxious with noise. Enjoyed watching people kite surf as well.

Not really a beach, more like a lake type vibe. There is no waves and the the water is mostly shallow. Tons of seaweed that goes up and covers the sand. The sand is all completely wet. Nice and easy space for the boat ramps. I saw many children finding different types of crabs, hermit and horseshoe! This is a place to just sit and watch the sunset!

Nice 11acre park. Beach is out on a peninsula with a small strip of sand all the way around. The end has a wider beach with Pavillion and volleyball net. There is a boat launch, multiple small pavilions with grills, a playground, bathrooms and free parking. Although I was here early in the morning on a cold day I will definately be back when it's nicer or to catch a sunset.

Wonderful beach offering up fantastic sunsets. There is decent parking, restrooms, boat launch, volleyball court, and picnic areas. Parking fills up fast on nice beach days.

What a beautiful beach! I'm sure this place fills up quickly in the summer months, so I would imagine not a lot of parking. It has a wheelchair ramp, picnic tables, plenty of beach, It has a boat launch, a playground, restrooms, benches, beautiful birds and trees. I went on a cold, gloomy day but will be back on a nice day!

Mixed feelings about this place. Nice park, clean restrooms, but the sunset activities are a circus. Only one road in and out. Signs clearly say no parking on the sidewalk, which is completely ignored. Cars parked on both sides of the road, plus in the parking lot, all trying to leave at once. Cars on the sidewalk are on the road trying to get on the exit road while everyone else is trying to drive out. Didn't see any kind of organization to help traffic flow. Only one police officer was there in the park, so I can't say if others show up to help with the traffic. Wouldn't go again. I've bto Mallory Dock in Key West, that's so much better because everyone walks there.

Sunsets are amazing. The park has restrooms, picnic area, boat ramp, beach area, and playground. Only downfall is no pets allowed. Would have loved to relax on the beach with our dog. We visited several days in a row, and it was very peaceful and kid-friendly.

Absolutely loved this little island! Free parking and bathrooms. Found a horseshoe crab we helped back to the ocean as the guy was left high and dry once low tide came in. So peaceful here.

My absolute favorite place for sunsets! I appreciate the free parking, convenient bathrooms, shower stations, picnic shelter and boat ramp. Not the best place for swimming but other than that very family friendly.

What a beautiful sunset! On the map this beach does look small. There was plenty of parking when I got here around 730PM. Sunset Beach does have bathrooms and parking is free

Definitely a piece of paradise. Tropical and absolutely relaxing place to visit. Easy to find with GPS. Be sure to bring some beach chairs and a camera. We arrived after 4pm and there was less that 20 people I could see. Nice and quiet. This is a must visit place for sure.

This is a beautiful beach and a perfect place to watch the sunset. Clean bathrooms, showers to rinse off sand, pavilions with grills just a beautiful beach in all.

Stopped at Sunset Beach while visiting the Tarpon Springs area. This awesome little park is a gem with beautiful beaches, shelter houses, restroom facilities and plenty of parking. It is handicap accessible with concrete walkways and benches. Palm trees, white sand beaches and blue water. A great place to catch some ray's and enjoy an afternoon.

It’s called sunset beach for a reason, it provides a beautiful park for catching that perfect sunset photo. Free parking, clean restrooms, and a nice stage for concerts.

We chose a very sunny but also very windy day. We didn't get in the water but sure filled some buckets full if water for when we played and built things with the sand. It was cool to be on actual island, yet a rather small one which made it a scary and also thrilling experience. I felt like the weather combined with the waves and scary ocean made it such a rush. Just a simple family day.

Great for a sunset watch, but the beach itself is really closer to mud. The kids had a ball slipping and sliding, though. We didn't test the boat ramp. Parking is available but limited so drivers left cars in the street or parked in the trailer area.

One of the best places in the Tampa Bay area to see a sunset. Free parking which is incredibly accessible to those who can’t walk far from the car to the beach. A small island with a lot of quaint, local ambience.
