THE Tampa vegan spot. I come from St.Pete sometimes to get it. Drummies, max boxes, rice and fries. They have all the comfort food you could want. The veggie plate is the BOMB. Servings are hefty and always delicious. Been coming here for a few years now and possibly my favorite vegan restaurant in the bay. If you want to stop by, just do it. You won’t regret it! FYI, more of a pickup and go spot, they have a few tables outside but nothing too big.

Yum yum Masterful vegan food for everyone! Never been dissatisfied with anything here! Pizza empanadas would easily please even the pickiest people (my hubs is one) I got the veggie box last and it was delicious too bad they were out of plantains. I’m crazy about cabbage and the greens are just great. The Jerk wings were also crispy and flavorful. My partner ate the gyro box and it was awesome as usual! Nice little tables out front of if you can’t wait to get home to eat.

My number one Vegan spot all across the country is THIS PLACE! It was the closest vegan spot to the venue and I ran there! I really did not know what to expect but it definitely was not this. My mind is absolutely blown. This is the best vegan chicken sandwich I have ever had ever. I don’t think there will be a better sandwich! Dudes! It’s SO GOOD! The sauce on it too! My lanta!! My buds are screaming for more!! I have still yet to try my empanada but I can already tell it’s going to be the same. My fries!!! Oh my gosh. They’re so perfect!! If I could break google and give this 6 out of 5, stars I would. Please please please!! If you are in the area!! Stop here! I wish I didn’t live in Michigan because I would come here more often. Also! To the sweetest gal with the sweetest smile behind the counter, I thank you soooo much!! You were way to kind and sweet and I am so sorry for not asking for your name! I was really hoping to like this place. I ordered the collard greens way to salty to eat, then I tried the mac n cheese and it tasted like noodles and a plain sauce no flavor. But i did enjoy the drumsticks those were amazing.

I recently have changed my diet to live a healthier lifestyle, and have been on the hunt to find more vegan options. My friend suggested this place, and I was not prepared for what they had in store as far as what was on the menu! Let’s just say, once the food got delivered to my car, my mouth couldn’t stop watering due to the aroma coming from the bag. The process to order food is only through the website. There were a few glitches getting through, but we persisted and finally got through. The wait is about twenty minutes as they prepare your food fresh for you. When the food is ready, you’ll receive a text to pick it up at the door. The owner was kind enough to actually hand deliver it to our car. When I took my first bite, it was so good that I questioned if this was truly vegan! Wow, I was speechless as I continued to inhale this delicious meal. I cannot wait for my next visit to try other items on the menu. It was certainly a very delicious meal!

Some of the best Vegan food I've had !!! It has alot of vegan options and the gentleman who was there was very helpful on helping me select . I wanted to try it all. I decided on gyro loaded fries 😋 It was a large portion I was able to share with my husband and he got the chicken gyro wrap ( he shared with me) We also got baklava for dessert but it went too fast before I could take a picture 🤣 I would definitely be back to try other foods plus they have a freezer to take home food too. Go check it out you wont be disappointed!!!

I had the lions Maine mushroom sandwich and I have to say it was drenched in grease my whole mouth was oily and my stomach is not so happy about it right now the taste was ok but got overpowered by the grease I would definitely not buy this item again! And I was so excited about it it definitely cuts the healthiness out 🤮

Delicious! I have tried almost everything and it’s always so good! The empanadas are my all time favorite! The fresh juices and the desserts are oh so good! The people are so nice and friendly and will answer any questions or concerns with a smile and genuine care.

I would definitely recommend!! I am newly vegan and I am in loveee, you definitely not missing out at all plus you don’t get the itis afterwards because it’s healthy! Greens? Really good, & that’s coming from a girl who was raised in the deep south. Gyro? Delicious Veggie plate… good but the Jamaican rice could use more flavor. Yellow rice was better especially with the jerk bbq sauce. Drumsticks and chicken nuggets, couldn’t be better. Definitely don’t miss real meat with this! Yams need a lottttt of work. Mac and cheese, whew. Definitely delicious. 10/10 recommend. Think they need a better location in Brandon though for sure.

Wow!! This is a great place for vegan. Realize that they're only takeout. They have meats desserts stuff that I wish I could eat regularly and now I can. We had the mac and cheese and the drumsticks and tres leche and pizza empanadas. All definitely worth it. Next time we're in town we'll definitely be back. PS. Hint,... It's cheaper to order directly from their website. It's more updated too

I must say if you are vegan and in tampa Vegan International is a must!! I have had the joy of being a customer for years now and always come back time and time again. The owners are some of the most amazing, hardest working people in the biz. I can’t believe It has taken me this long to review but better late then never!

Hands down THE BEST vegan food in the Tampa area. I've eaten here a handful of times and I have never once been disappointed. The staff is also super friendly and accommodating at all times. Keep up the great work!

We got food from here when we got stuck in Tampa for a night after a canceled flight. We didn't know that they stop taking orders about 15 minutes before closing, but the cook was very kind and let us order and even gave us tasters of their ice cream. The food was super delicious.

i have wanted to eat at vegan international co for so so long and i was finally in the area !! i was super happy but also sad that i missed the plate specials which is what i reeeally wanted to try. either way, the location i believe is pickup only and is fairly obvious by the bright pink vegan detailing on the window. i ordered ahead and the food was ready a few minutes ahead of time. first i tried the veggie plate. mine consisted of candied, steamed cabbage, collards, and rice. the rice had a nice kick to it, and i really enjoyed the steamed cabbage. the collards were good but not the best i’ve had, and the candied yams weren’t my favorite. if i ordered this again, i’d probably go for a few different sides. i also ordered a special they had: the cauliflower nugget mac box! i ordered it with jerk bbq sauce, which i thought was pretty good! i wish the box came with a bit more sauce, but i liked how crunchy and crispy the cauliflower was. the mac and cheese was also next level 🙌 and the portion was generous! the mac definitely beats a lot of dairy mac and cheese i’ve had. lastly i just HAD to try the drumsticks. i ordered them with bbq sauce and was in love with how much sauce they came with! these drums were super realistic; the texture of the chicken was spot-on and the “bone” was executed very well. they are messy to eat, but these were so good i would have them with every meal! vegan international co is a must-try if you’re in tampa, and i’m definitely coming back to try more of their specials and get just a few (20+) more orders of drumsticks!

Was my 1st time eating at this place and it was so good , I came back the very next day and brought my friend with me that isn't a vegan and he was shocked at how good the vegan chicken over rice bowl was! I order a chicken gyro salad bowl! Delicious! It's my new spot to eat .I don't mind taking the hour drive! It's worth it! They also got vegan jerk, must try it out! I used to come here frequently between 2018-2019 when my diet was more plant based. I never really had an issue with customer service as they were always friendly. I loved their desserts and patties. I wasn't a fan of what I believe were a plant based alternative to drumsticks when I had them back in 2018. I do feel like the "meat" was lacking in some items like their subs but everything was usually very flavorful.

Oooweee. One of the best vegan places I’ve been to. Getting the food is a bit weird cus there’s barely a store front. A person comes out and hands you your food and calls it a day. But jeez the food is all worth it. Got the drumsticks, and two sandwiches: the chopped cheez sandwich and the impossible kefta sandwich. 🔥. Great to eat in the car right after or take to the beach near by haha. 5/5!

Came with my girlfriend around 1 pm only to find the place closed with no one there. The hours say 11-am to 5 pm everyday. Clearly management gives no cares about the business or their customers. Would have been our first time dining there. Trash

This plant based restaurant is one of the most reliable, diverse & tasty places to eat in Tampa! I've met the owner who is a very passionate kind guy. Recently, I tried one of their Shepard's Pie Empanada their specials for "Thanksgiving" and the platter as well. Honestly, it brought back many memories of all the comforting non-plant based meals I used to love because of their flavor. Grateful for having this spot in Tampa! Thank you.

If I could only choose one restaurant to eat out at it would very likely be Vegan International. I've tried several of their menu items & have never been disappointed. I've ordered their catering just because I needed to introduce as many people as possible to their delicious food. If you need a suggestion - try the drumsticks, you will thank me later! They also sell vegan grocery items that I don't typically find at other places. On top of all this, the staff & owners are beyond amazing. I'm so happy to support this small family-owned business & cannot recommend it enough!

Jerk chicken was soooo good. I am trying to figure out how I’m going to make an excuse to go to Tampa again just to go here. Macaroni and cheese was the best vegan Mac I have ever had. Their collard greens were sooo good. Strawberry lemonade was great. Cookies and creme milk shake was divine. Sooo recommend — it is a vegans delight :) !!!

Best Vegan Meal ever!!! Came from Clearwater to try the food and was not disappointed. Had the Gyro(highly recommend) and the NY cheese steak with mac n cheese. Everything was so flavorful. Will be back soon.

Took a gamble on this place and WOW. The lions mane chicken sandwich was top notch. The pickles tasted similar to a bread & butter type (not my fav) But all around exceptional!

Clean space , outstanding service.I had never really tried vegan dishes and was looking for an easy transition .I was also fasting and needed a recommendation. I was driving down Nebraska and saw the truck outside and decided to try it .I had the cauliflower & Mac and cheese.So delicious.If you are new to the Vegan game..I suggest this spot.

We’ve been coming here for as long as it’s been open. We don’t go too often, but we are never unhappy with the food here. They have great options for people who want simple food (nuggets and fries), and they also have excellent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean flavors! I ordered the Gyro today, definitely will order again! This is not really a sit-down place, so we pick up our order and take it to Lettuce Lake Park . Vegan International is also more eco conscious with their packaging and utensils! Big plus in our opinion. I’m just hoping this place will stick around. Vegan restaurants have been closing left & right in Tampa.

First time picking up an order here and I am blown away. Jackfruit empanada has a perfect texture and spicy flavors. The chick pea and potato empanada had a wonderful curry flavor. We also got the veggie plate (yams/rice/plantains, Mac & chz) which was incredible. The Mac and cheese was the best vegan Mac I’ve ever had, hands down. I don’t often review businesses but I am very impressed and will definitely be back.

Very delicious vegan food. I had the Jamaican Plate. The rice and drumsticks we’re seasoned perfect and had a lot of flavor. The cabbage and plantains tasted great together with it as well. If you experience swelling due to hypertension as I do, you may notice your swelling decreasing as you eat this delicious healthy food. Healthy food with a healthy benefit. I love it!

I was a little disappointed because the reviews had me hype just to be let down… I ordered chopped cheese, drumstick platter, apple pie empanada & pizza empanada. Honestly everything was amazing except my drumstick platter. It was TERRIBLE!!!! Like seriously greens were so salty, yams were flavorless as hell, the drum sticks were ok I guess more so the sauce. They made the food extremely fast though. Everything was correct as well. Chopped cheese was so damn good I’m mad I didn’t order that, I wanted to eat so my shawty food😂😂 the pizza empanada was AMAZING!

Amazing. Their gyro box is so tasty, the tzatziki sauce is to die for. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken mac and cheese as well. Their drumsticks are top notch too.

Woweeeee, some of the most flavorful and affordable vegan food I've ever had. The empanadas were so good- the jackfruit one has a kick to it. And the mac and cheese is absurd. THE DOLMAS! Get it all.

Vegan international is one of my favorite restaurants!! My favorite items are the impossible kefta, protein box with buffalo drummies collards and plantains, and the sorrel. A must visit Tampa vegan spot.

Delicious vegan restaurant is this area with contactless ordering and outdoor tables to eat. Most of the time I get this to go and it never disappoints. Plenty of parking, service is amazingly friendly and efficient. But the food, well you are in for a treat: Fries- really good and the have options like loaded gyro fries that are so good. Yams - well cooked, really good Chopped Cheesesteak - stop what you are doing and order this, it is AMAZING. Chicken Sandwich - the outside is amazingly crisp, like any regular chicken sandwich you get but the inside is almost too juicy. Oatmeal Cookie - don’t get one, get three, they are that GOOD. This really is a great place if you are vegan or a great place to take a non-vegan yo show how good vegan food can be.

I gotta say this is the second time I've had this place and they haven't missed. I had the lion mane mushroom chicken sandwich. It was so good and crunchy but also had that nice meaty texture 😋. I had the Nashville hot sauce with it which made it even more flavorful. I would definitely say a solid ten for this sandwich. Highly recommend hope you enjoy 😁

Hands down the best vegan place I’ve been to! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. My favorites are the Philly cheesesteak, pizza empanadas, and Mac and cheese. This place is a must try if you are in the area! Even for non vegans!

Super affordable food and the sugar cane on the “drumstick” was a nice touch! The only issue I had was that my order was incorrect, I didn’t check my order at the counter before grabbing, I’ve definitely learnt my lesson and will check moving forward. Other than that, everything was tasty and staff was very nice!

My bf and I are visiting Tampa and stopped here for lunch. We are vegan and love to try new vegan places… like all the time! We walked in and were pleased to see SO many vegan choices! (all vegan choices omgg!) but we chose after the man at the register gave us some of the favorites. I picked a pizza Mac empanada and the gyro sandwich. My bf got a 3 pc drumstick and tender Mac and cheese box. It was done really fast and then we ate outside! It was SO good! Very flavorful, hot and satisfying! No vegan Mac and cheese comes close. And the the drumsticks were so good and had great texture! We got a sticker for a memory. Definitely come here for some yummy vegan food! ❤️

*review during covid-19 dinning* This is truly my favorite vegan restaurant! We ordered the food on their website and look about 20ish minutes to get ready and take out. We ordered: Drumstick Plate with Sauces: Jerk BBQ SIDES: Mac N Cheeze,Collard Greens; Tres Leche Cake Jar; Impossible Chopped Cheeze Sandwich; Pizza Empanada; NY Cheezesteak Sandwich; Strawberry Sunrise. At first we thought it was expensive but we are used to it since vegan food usually is expensive. Then we got the food and completely changed our minds immediately. The portions are amazing. Normally vegan places barely gives you food and here you were not given a ton of appetizers but actual meals. Mac and cheeze is truly delicious!!! I have had the drumsticks before and still love them! Collard greens were spicy (not expected) good flavor just too spice for me. The tres leche was a bit drier but the flavor was soooooo good! (Too good even for a picture) Both burgers were huge and really delicious. Empanada was soooo delicious you can trick anyone it's vegan. Lastly the smoothie was sooooo good I didn't want others to try it. Definitely going back and I hope they can bring one to Kissimmee so I can their food more often!

First We spend 100 dollars happily ordering. Then wait 30 minutes for the food, and then my mom starts screaming while everyone is eating... she spits her food out and there is a staple in her food!!! A staple!!!! Im so upset right now. On the way to the hospital now. 😡😡

I got a NY Cheesesteak, I hate I didn’t take a picture before I threw it away! It was a very small portion of “meat” in what looked liked sweet potato baby food. I’m usually able to finish bad food but $10 in the trash literally. The Mac is super bland as well. This 1 star is for the pattie to be honest.

Drove all the way here (30 miles) only to be told sorry our kitchen is closed but for future reference we don’t take phone orders 🤔 but we do take online orders. Hmmm ok. Better yet you don’t need nor deserve my business.

It had just the right amount of filling. Sweet & Spicy Drum Sticks - They are really good. The only thing I don't like is that it's very stringy and it gets stuck between my teeth. Just have floss next to you as soon as you finish eating!🤦🏾‍♀️🤣 Saffron Rice - Was very flavorful. Candy Yams - Were not overly sweet. Chick Peas & Potatoes - AMAZING! Twisted Star Crunch Dessert - Taste exactly like a Nutty Bar by Little Debbie. Red Velvet Cake - Delicious as always. This restaurant is currently cashless and contactless. Once you arrive to pick up your dish, they bring it out to your car.

I found this place on IG and took my best friend there being that she is vegan.. easy to find, small place, clean, everything is healthy and natural the food is flavorful the jerk empanadas, my bestie had the philly cheesesteak, I also had a mango smoothie made with coconut milk, I had the mac and cheese with greens and meat balls ... food is really really good the price is reasonable..

holy wow - if you’re vegan/vegetarian or not at all...this place is just...wow. that was all I kept saying when I first ate here. from the plantains, to the chickpea dish, to the drumsticks, right down to the sauces. will be back A LOT and 10/10 recommend if you’re in the Tampa Bay Area.

Everything is delicious!

My boyfriend and I ate at Vegan International for the first time recently and we had such a wonderful experience. The customer service was outstanding, and those we dealt with were super friendly. Also, the food was AMAZING! We are both vegetarians, so we get very excited when we have *great* veg restaurant options wherever we are. This restaurant is actually one of the best we've encountered (and we've been to many). We can't wait for our next meal here!
