Always felt uneasy about the vibe the employees give but figured it was in my head since the food was okay. Called in for a take out order I got there to pick up my order. No one acknowledged me when I walked in while two employees sat down eating,one was waiting on a table and the cook just had no sense of emotion. I sat at the counter to cash out for a while. No one still came over I eventually left since I was on my lunch break and had no more time to waste. Do go here if you are in a rush or want good service. Chefs kiss! The bacon cheeseburger had quality meat and seasoning. The loaded fries came in a small pizza box! The side of ranch was perfect. Large portions. Quick service. Thank you

Absolutely delicious! Cheesesteaks, Steak salad, garlic bomb sandwich and loaded fries with cheese whiz!! Everything was hot, super flavorful. Service was friendly and warm. Wonderful experience after a day at the beach!

Busy place so call in your order before coming to pick it up. I had to wait 20 for my sandwich, but it was worth it. The sandwiches are LOADED!! The staff were friendly and made some helpful recommendations. Tried the following: Cheesesteak -- good but a bit spicy Garlic bomb -- good but has too much garlic Choc banana milk shake -- very good and thick RECOMMENDATIONS: Next time I'd ask for a little less hot pepper for the Cheesesteak, and for the garlic bomb don't add garlic to meat just get the meat on the garlic bread. I'd also ask for half the amount of cheese because they're pretty generous with the cheese and you can really taste it which takes away from the steak flavor. They also include a bag of chips with your sandwich which is pretty cool. Definitely try them out!

We’ve becoming here for over 10 years and it’s the best ever. My husband and I were eating at the restaurant today when 2 terribly rude customers made a scene and walked out without paying. We were sitting across from them and they didn’t even take a bite of their food or drinks before causing a scene. They were completely unreasonable and their claims were false. We can’t figure out what their motive was. I imagine they will leave a bad review and I am leaving this one to counter their obnoxious behavior.

Some of the best Phillys in town right here and they have awesome shakes and malts when they are mixed correctly. Just wish this place was open later on the weekends and that they didn't shut their shake machine down so early on Saturdays. But seriously, you must try their Chicken Philly with the peppers and onions and the peppers have spice to them but just right!! So delicious!!!

I ordered a Reuben, and it was the driest and worst I have ever had. It was in little pieces instead of slices as every where else. It may have been fake corned beef like Spam. The cheese was over-melted. I also ordered sweet potato fries, which were extremely overpriced for the size of the container. This order cost $18+ and not at all worth it. Also, I was asked to sit outside because I had my service dog. Outrageous.

Gino & Pat who? They have nothing on South Polly Cheesesteak. The Philly is so good that most people will never try anything else. Too bad because the Reuben is also fantastic. Keep up the great work.

I give a 5 star because of my past experiences. I give a 2-3 star for my last 4 experiences with the cheesesteaks. I don’t know if the owner told the cooks to cut back on cheese or what!? It’s not a cheesesteak anymore. It’s now a meat steak! I want the way it was. Don’t call Cheese Steak if I’m not gonna have any cheese on it.. Now I’m gonna have to take my sandwich home from the bar and add CHEESE!! I talked you guys up and everyone (6 of us) have the above to say. Philly cheese steak was really legit. Great combination of meat, cheese, and peppers. Definitely great quality meat. Sweet potato fries were also delicious. Thick cut and cooked perfectly. Also had a cherry shake that I enjoyed. Really good service too.

Great Italian food, been here many times over the years. Last few times I was there, the food took a little longer to come out, and overall they are on the pricey side. Big portions though!

Stumbled across this place today. I am SO GLAD I did. Got Philly cheese steak subs. Made with shaved rib eye, grilled onions, hot peppers, white American cheese. My friend decided not to have the hot peppers but I did. Perfect amount of heat! They were delicious! Served with a bag of chips. We got a side of fresh cut fries. They were delicious too. We will be back and will recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great lunch South Philly! Erin was an awesome server too. Friendly and efficient! Probably gonna get shakes for dessert 🍨

Like most locals I've loved this place for over twenty years, but I was so disappointed in the last philly I got there at the 34th St location. The meat was poor quality and way too chopped up. It tasted nothing like it used to. It had very little flavor. It was just off and tasted like fast food, not real food like it used to. The fries weren't very good either and they're one of the things I've always loved too. Even the bread was worse than it used to be. I hope they get the quality back up to par. I know times are tough, but this isn't a cheap meal. It's reasonable for what you get, or what you used to get, but for what it costs there a lot better options now. I feel like I lost one of my favorite places to eat, and I will certainly not being telling people to go here like I used to do.

Don't think OG Phillycheese steak. Food is really good and the fresh cut fries are amazing.

Most restaurants change after being open for so long but no this place. They have been amazing since day 1 and are going strong! Everything that on the menu is amazing especially the cheesesteaks. The servers are very accommodating and sweet. Last week I overheard another customer mention traveling from out of state just to eat here so you can imagine how great it truly is!

The food is really gross and the bread was soggy the fries were soggy as well they should have left the sauce on the side and let you pour it over your own fires when you are ready to eat. And it was ground beef with no flavor. My husband got sick from the food and was sick all night. He's still not feeling well. Never going back to that place again. 🤢🤮

First time trying this restaurant. It seems like it’s always the hole in the wall restaurants that are the best! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch! We will definitely be back!

The Best Philly Cheesesteak!!! And they make fresh cut potato french fries! Their burger is quite amazing, juicy and large and had the best flavor..so good. Clean place and nice staff! Prices are reasonable and good portions.

Overall just sub par food The Philly meat was destroyed. It was as if they just put ground beef on the bun. The grease was dripping out of the bun. $43 for two people is sad for the lack of quality.

They make a decent sub, have yet to try their steak sandwich. Nice selection of shakes from Vanilla to Pina Colada. Tables for dining in.

Great place! After Hurricane Ian we wanted fast food as South Philly was our first go-to place to order. Love this place. Great good and great service.

Living around the Philly area we get picky with the cheese steaks. This is one of the best I have had in the west coast. Thanks team for bringing back good memories of home. I will back to work through rest of menu.

Currently work in Philly area and happened to be attending a soccer tournament at IMG Academy. This place is the real deal. Tender Ribeye diced with great flavor. Jim Steak's in South Street is my regular, but they are killing it here! Worth the taste and you'll be hooked. Great job!

The restaurant was extremely busy during our visit here for dinner. There was a 5 minute wait for a table. Even though the servers were overwhelmed by the crowded restaurant, they managed to attend to the customers' needs. The food was excellent and served HOT, and was better the expected. Being originally from the Philadelphia area, this food served at South Philly Cheesesteaks is authentic and delicious. No matter what location you frequent, an outstanding meal well representing Philadelphia's signature sandwiches, and other sides on their menu. A return visit is assured

We visited South Philly this evening for dinner and it was amazing! We both got the "Garlic Bomb" Philly and it was the best philly I've had in a long time. I personally don't like spicy food so it was a kick to me because of the Hot peppers. Some may so they aren't hot but to me they are. The Philly was excellent and we will definitely order from them again. Next time I will get it without the hot peppers so I can eat the whole thing! I highly recommend checking out this local restaurant, fries and o-rings were definitely good as well. Not to mention it wasn't crazy expensive! Thank you South Philly for the great dinner!
