This is a follow-up email to my previous survey for our hotel stay at the Marriott Melville (See survey posted on your website) After submitting my survey on line I received a call from Michaela, an employee from the office in Melville. She was so understanding of my concern and did everything possible to get upper management to offer a two night certificate for my wife and I. Unfortunately I was consumed with caring for an aging parent and never followed up with Michaela. Since then I phoned the hotel n August 22, 2022 to learn that Michaela is no longer employed by the Marriott. I did speak with "Robbie" After explaining what Michaela and I spoke about he replied that there are no offers for certificates for any stays. I was shocked to hear this since I was offered a two night stay by Michaela. Now that she is no longer there with Marriott we are unable to take advantage of the hotels generous offer to make up for a less than enjoyable anniversary weekend stay. I come from a family of dedicated Sheraton employees and never did any of them deal with a negative satisfaction by a hotel guest in this manor. We have stayed at the Garden City Hotel in the past and will definitely stay there again. They know how important customer satisfaction is. Stay away from MARRIOTT MELVILLE. Phone messages never get returned thus leading hotel guests to believe they are getting discarded by management.

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Melville before and after our wedding at Westbury Manor and absolutely loved it. Around 60 of our guests also stayed at the hotel and they kindly put the rooms together that we requested. The rooms were super clean and well presented and the spacious executive suite was great for getting ready for my wedding! We also enjoyed having a farewell breakfast for our guests in the pretty atrium with lots of natural light. Friendly and helpful staff all throughout the weekend. Highly recommend!

This was our first stay at this Marriott in Long Island, New York. I want to thank the staff for their friendliness. We enjoyed our overnight stay. It was exceptionally clean our executive suite was very comfortable. We also enjoyed complementary breakfast. The made to order omelets were delicious..

First room had no air conditioning, but the front desk moved me to another room quickly. Great service. It was odd having a hotel room with a front door to hallway and a patio door on the other side leading 5o another hallway, not a balcony. Extremely odd setup and kind of old looking.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean. Restaurant and bar onsite was very convenient. The only downfall was the noise. 3 am the room next to us was incredibly loud to the point we called the front desk. We were advised that other complaints were received due to noise level. Nothing was done. The music, yelling and banging continued until 4 am even after we called 2 more times.

I stayed for 3 nights. If I had time, I would have looked for another hotel. Room was very dirty, dust all over, and did not smell clean. Bed very soft and uncomfortable.Rooms need to be updated as decor is very dark univiting, with poor lighting. Brown walls, brown carpet and dark furniture. Key cards difficult to use, lights in bathroom flickering, tiny bugs on floor. Staff were friendly but restaurant slow to bring check. Frustrated that the gift shop did not keep items usually needed in stock for hotel this large. Will not return.

The hotel gives a sweet old grandma vibe. Great hospitality and every staff here was so nice!! But then the room is a bit old and there are quite some “hey that still works so we are NOT going to replace it!” things. For example, the iron in our room leaks water, so we called the front desk for a replacement. 30 minutes later we received the replacement iron which also leaks, has all the marks for temperature worn off, and doesn’t spray water. They also don’t use duvet cover and only sandwich the slightly old and yellow comforter with two sheets. As a result, you’ll get in contact with the comforter during your sleep if you turn in bed at all. Last but not least, no free wifi unless you sign up for their loyalty program. One up side is that there restaurant has pretty good food, like a sweet old grandma would!

Stayed for a wedding for two nights. I was so impressed by the valet Eduardo who took my bags in gave me a water showed me my room and then showed me where to park my vehicle to make it convenient to enter and exit the hotel. Refused a tip, gracious gentleman . The desk also was beyond great!! My room was excellent and room service was prompt and the gentleman that delivered my late meal was polite. 5 stars is too little I say a 10!

I absolutely love this hotel!! The beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are very lavish. Nice line of hair and body products. Restaurant downstairs makes it convenient if you don’t feel like going to get take out .. Definitely recommend

I put five stars, because I did not see any shortcomings, both in the service of the reception and in the room. Very tasty and varied breakfast buffet. Choice of dishes for every taste. Clean bedding and towels, furniture simple but neat. A normal hotel, no frills, but the price is adequate.

Preet at the front desk is not very helpful. He charged my personal card because it would have “taken longer” to charge my company card. Meanwhile there was no line, and I did not indicate that I was in any kind of rush. I had time to do this right. Now I have to spend more time adjusting the charge on my end. Awful.

Nice hotel. Seems like it's good for weddings/larger events. I didn't have a car so I had to eat at the hotel. Ok menu, a bit pricey. Do not ask for a hotel overlooking the pool. Those rooms open to a hallway via sliding door.

Nice hotel, clean and easy to get to. Senior staff was nice but seemingly new staff was answering Willy Nilly and senior staff had to step in - would be okay if they said someone was in training but I think the person was just not aware of when the pool and restaurant was open/closed, nor if breakfast was included. Nice rooms and despite the big common areas hosting events you can’t hear it to your room. The pool is a nice temp!

I stayed here the weekend of 9/15; we had a problem at check-in with the rooms and the manager Sharon was so abrasive and not accommodating at all. The staff seems as if they wanted to help, but she was not at all trying to come up with a solution. Mind you, we check in at 10 pm. However, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for the night, and had an amazing experience! Check out my review on their page!

We stayed at the Marriott Melville several times and each time the staff and accommodations have been outstanding. Our last stay was on 8/18/23 and it was nice to see Daniel G again. He always goes above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. From helping to clear snow off the car in previous visits to always greeting us and asking if we need anything. Daniel G. is a true asset to your hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making our stays truly pleasurable.

This is a very nice hotel. I was traveling with a group for business, and we all agreed on the nicest hotel of our 14-day trip. The only complaint we all had was the wifi. None of us were able to connect to it. We did have amazing service at the hotel bar/restaurant. Nicole was amazing to us on consecutive days. Friendly and accommodating. She was a bright spot during our stay.

The hotel was very nice and clean staff was friendly. The issue I had as well as many of the other family & friends that stayed here for a wedding on the weekend of Aug 11th is everyone said the A/C was not cold enough. Good thing it was not a hot & humid weekend! My BIGGEST issue is that my daughter also stayed here and had a reservation for a room with 2 QUEEN beds and even had that on her reservation form. When the 3 of them went to the room there was 1 bed & an old worn out sleeper sofa with DIRTY SHEETS!!!. She went back to the desk and they had no resolution but to provide her with a free breakfast (already had a wedding brunch that day) and gave her 5000 points which she will never use. Not sure how a large corporate hotel can take your money for a room and not fulfil their end of the bargain.

I actually attended a seminar at this hotel. I was early, so I went to the restaurant downstairs before the seminar. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a beverage. The atmosphere was very comfortable. The food came fast so I had enough time Thank you Marriott.

Not the best. Room had a funky smell. Coffee in room was not good and the paper cups provided were of poor quality. I'd stay somewhere else next time I'm in the area. The staff was very nice and welcoming but the facility and accommodations are average at best.

Depends what you are looking for. Check in was a mess. Not enough people at the desk, not prepared for their 3 booked events. Our room was not ready at 3. Long line to the breakfast place just to get coffee. No store/coffee shop in hotel or within walking distance. The lunch service and food was average at best. If you like congealed cold salsa it may be the place you are looking for. Room fine.

I'm sorry to say this, because of I love the Marriott. However, this hotel didn't live up to the Marriott standard. The heat in our room wasn't working, our room door was jammed, and the people next to is were noisy from 11pm to the early hours of the morning. We had to stick our key and in the slot 3 to 4 times and push the door to get in. There is also no microwave in the room. And they only wash the sheets and pillowcases, and not the blankets. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go to the Hilton Garden Inn. I stayed there last night and it was wonderful. And they actually wash all of the of their bedding. I saw them take everything off the bed, when I was on my way to checkout. The Hilton Garden Inn is also around the same price. This is my first and last time staying at this Marriott. Update: 3/25/2023 It's been almost two weeks since I visited this hotel, and for my inconvenience I was promised extra points. I still haven't received any extra points, and I stand by my previous statement. All this staff will do to you is lie and fail to do their jobs. Because of this experience I can say that I'll be a Hilton customer from now on.

Most disappointing Marriott stay ever. We booked Marriott because we felt the standards are always higher and it would be nicer than the surrounding motel type stays. We needed a room with a little privacy so opted for the junior suite and I called to confirm the room configuration - pull out in a separated L - was told that was the setup. We check in and already could tell it was a bad omen with two wedding parties and what was clearly a baseball convention. The room turned out not to be configured as described - a sofa bed directly next to the real bed and a useless L with two chairs. We called to ask for the sofa bed to be made up and were told they only provide sheets we should make it up. They then provided two flat sheets and no pillows. We called 3 more times to request a fitted sheet before one finally arrived. The next day we had requested room cleaning. It was done by 3 so I texted them in the app and was told you have to call. I did and was told you probably had DND on - we absolutely didn’t. But the absolute worst part of this hotel is the fact that the entire hotel staff was incapable of dealing with the rowdy behavior of a big group of youth visiting for baseball tournament. A large group had taken over in a way I have never seen before. It involved literally playing catch across the whole lobby while guests like us tried to maneuver through. Running and screaming and shrieking through hallways across the entire hotel. Zero parents present as they stayed at the bar. And altogether mass chaos. The hotel staff informed us they couldn’t stop these kids. They had tried but were incapable. Keep in mind this was happening after their 10pm posted quiet time. Where was security? The manager never got in contact with me despite my reaching out about 5x. And our young children ended up feeling frightened because of the sounds and chaos. Be warned this is not a Marriott you would want to stay at.

Super friendly staff, especially at the desk and in the restaurant. Great rooms, clean and comfortable, beautiful indoor pool, and big conference rooms where you can have a wedding or conference. Near the highway, but you don't hear the noise at all. My only complaint is that the toilets are super loud when they flush, like a jet engine. So...don't flush at night, LOL. It's also très expensive! I think we paid $400+ plus per night!

I don't know if it is all rooms or just because I got a room in the corner of two intersecting hallways. However, any noises in the hallways bounce off the walls and it sounds like the people in the hall might as well be in my room. I heard a nice conversation from a parents and their young children telling a set of grandparents happy anniversary at 3:30 in the morning waking me up from my nights rest. Then at 7am they started doing parking lot construction that shook the whole building. A little common sense says start at least at 8am or after if your working on a hotel where people are trying to rest.

Not a 5 star. Rooms were nice. Service was OK. We were upgraded to a suite which had a bar, refrigerator and microwave oven. There is full service restaurant and bar on premises. Room service is available. Self parking is complementary. There is an indoor pool and gym on premises. Tesla EV chargers are available to anyone.

Very typical Marriott hotel, meeting the quality standards that I become used to enjoying. Front desk was super courteous and helpful during my two week stay. Room make up was reliable with exception of tile replacements. Also, while the hotel itself was clean, the entryway stairwells need some attention especially since there’s no parking out front through the main entrance. It would’ve been nice to allow adult pool time later into the evening, as I did not get back to the hotel, until after pool hours were closed.

The hotel was very well maintained. The front desk clerks were very pleasant during my check-in and check-out. My suite was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would request would have been a microwave in the room.

The front desk people were awesome and the rooms were clean - the bed & pillows were horribly uncomfortable tho! Not sure if it was the ole supply chain issue but food was scarce. Don't order the pizza- it's not NY style and it tasted, and looked like the frozen stuff. awful. One giveaway that they weren't made to order: they couldn't make us small pizzas - only medium !?! And the Club Room? no hot foods, water on tap, drinks had to be ordered from the bar as there was no service .... The hotel itself was expected business class just the food service sucked.

First the good...Beds are extremely comfortable. Hot water in the shower is very quick and doesn't run cooler when other guests in other rooms turn on their shower. The curtains for the large window are blackout, and they actually work, overlapping so that most of the light is blacked out. Room temperature was easy to adjust and remained constant. The bad...The pillows are terrible. They look fluffy, but as soon as you rest your head, you slowly sink to the bed and the rest of the pillow wraps around your head much like a hot dog in a bun. No support. The lighting in the bathroom is a little dark for use of the mirror. The desk in the room had a backside that folded down for electrical and network, and would not lock into the stowed position. It kept falling down, hitting me in the knees when I wasn't expecting it. I managed to prop it up with a recycling container. The worst part....ANTS. Yes, ants. On the third floor. I know some people like to travel with their pets, but I don't think ant farms should be allowed. I reported this to the front desk, and they didn't seem concerned, which suggests to me, that this is commonplace and not at all unusual. I managed to kill about 6 or 7 during my stay. I will not be staying here again despite the great mattress.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and staff are friendly and courteous. The room was well maintained. I can only give two stars because the location of the room was directly in front of two swinging doors which were constantly being opened and slammed shut through the entire night. On top of that there was a drunk man being arrested in the hallway- the screaming went on for well over an hour and then continued in the front of the building for another twenty minutes. Our first floor windows faced directly the front. Called the front desk and they said they were handling the situation but was no help with changing our room. We didn’t get much sleep- for $230 a night I don’t think we’ll be retuning here anytime soon

I recently stayed here and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel offered exceptional service, and I must highlight the wonderful hospitality provided by the bartender, Nicole. Her warmth and attentiveness added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Highly recommend!
